We went to Keoki's Paradise while staying at the Sheraton Kauai Resort and it was super convenient. only about a 9 minute walk. The vibe was really fun. They had live music and just an overall lively atmosphere that made it feel like a true vacation dinner spot. Our server Colin was very attentive and friendly, especially on a busy weekend. My husband loved his meal, but I'm pregnant and honestly struggled a bit with the menu. There weren't a ton of options that felt right for me. I ended up getting a burger which was good, just not anything amazing. Overall we had a good experience and I'd still recommend it for the ambiance alone. Just wish there were a few more simple options.

It's a Dukes restaurant just named different, with similar and familiar decorations, which I'm not complaining about. Loving it. It's one of the reasons you choose a Dukes style restaurant. Huge portions, good food, and that tropics ambiance. It comes with a price tag though. They must employ many servers here, it's a large place and our server was nice. Did stop by to check in on us a few times (water refills was lacking though) and their mai tais was strong and tasty. Good kids menu too. Overall good solid, albeit expensive place but sure hit the spot and you can walk off those calories with the shopping complex it's next too.

Service was very good. The fish was well prepared but the portion size is ridiculous for the cost of $39. You are paying for the experience I guess. I keep saying I won't come back and I have been coming here for over 20 years. No more bread with dinner and now a merchandise store that charges crazy prices for items. Example $30 for 4 drink coasters. It's a very tropical environment, and very beautiful inside. However I can't recommend this due to poor portion size and cost.

Knew it would be a touristy type of restaurant, but what surprised us was the quality of food. Delicious! Prime rib with ausjus and creamy horseradish was the star. My brothers Ono Keokis style was sooo ONO! However, the Okinawan sweet potato mash that came with it was not complimentary and too sweet to pair with the delicious fish. Regular mashed potatoes or rice would've been better we think. What put the whole experience over the top, though, was our super attentive and friendly waitress Charlene. She was so sweet to our baby and made such a pleasant and comfortable experience for us all. The live music was a nice touch. Don't forget to order the Hula Pie for dessert. Seeeeriously yummy. We looked around and almost every table gets it, and now we know why.

Forgot the name of this fish but it was delicious

Had a dinner reservation for 4 a few days ago for dinner. It kinda gives Rain Forrest vibes with real plants. The food and drink selections were great. It seems like a busy place but when you walk in there's nothing to complain about.

I've been to Kauai three times, and each time I've had dinner at Keoki's Paradise! I love the vibes and tropical atmosphere. Service is great, drinks are excellent, and the food is consistently good. The live music is a nice touch. Drinks: Tropical Slushie (5/5) Coconut Mojito (5/5) Amazing. Food: Pineapple carrot muffins and sweet taro rolls (4/5) Kale salad (4/5) Fresh Fish Keoki's Style (4/5) love the sweet potato mash.

This place has great service and great ambiance. The whole restaurant has such a nice vibe to it. We marked on our reservation that it was our anniversary and they wrote us a cute card and gave us a free dessert which was amazing (hula pie). We got the seafood risotto and the guava bbq chicken both of which were good. Chicken was a huge portion, basically an entire half of the chicken and the bbq sauce and kimchi veggies were great. We saw people get the pork ribs and those looked great too so if we came back we'd definitely want to try those.

What a great experience for our anniversary celebration! Well started off with cocktails and coconut shrimp. Try the Lychee martini or the Mule. For dinner we had the Duo Fish dish and the Mac crushed and crusted fish with rice. For an anniversary dessert we had the Hula pie. Do not leave here without trying this absolute excellent dessert. We were seated in area opposite the bar and still able to hear the live music while enjoying the indoor/outdoor dining. The entire experience was fantastic because of our server Kaelyn. She was so kind, a lot of fun and great to be around!

Keoki's is a lovely restaurant. Theater is very inviting. The only problem is that we needed to walk up a few stairs and down more stairs to get to the table. Luckily, we had an inside table when it started raining. The server was very helpful while making g our choice for dinner. We split a Caesar salad.m to start. At most places in which we ate, the Caesar salad was big enough to share. This was a bit small. I had the seafood risotto. It was very good but it was more risotto than protein. My husband had the Chef's Fresh Fish Duo. The fish that night was Ono and Marlin. He did enjoy that. As a special treat for my birthday, the waitress brought me a large slice of Hula pie. It was very good. We enjoyed the restaurant and would return the next time we are in Poipu.

We have been to Keoki's several times now. Each time with a large group. Staff were very attentive to our group and served us well. Our food was delicious and well sized (not too big). This restaurant is huge and they manage their clients well! It's an open air restaurant, which is really nice. We have been there when it was raining - no worries. Still very comfortable! If you haven't been, check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful scenery within the restaurant! Seated shortly after arrival but stuck with a waitress who also has a large party. It went downhill from there. Our cocktails were average, not very memorable. My Seafood risotto was probably the highlight with Lobster, shrimp, fish, and shiitake mushrooms but my daughter's teriyaki grilled chicken was dry. Wish I could have said something better about the experience.

Above all, this is a tourist spot with halfway decent food at prices that would scare you off if you weren't on vacation; paired with amazing service and some of the nicest servers. Inside screams "I'm on vacation on a tropical island" with the decor, the server uniforms, and the overall vibe. Nothing wrong with that. But definitely something to consider if you're looking for some food in the area. Food is decent. The Prime rib is cooked proper. The sides were just OK. The Maui onion soup was good, nothing spectacular. The pie was the best part of the meal for me. Overall, its going to be a hefty bill, and I wouldn't deter you from trying. But I wouldn't want to come back here the next time I'm in the area.

Great experience for a first meal in Hawaii! Was excited to try the Maui onion soup and it did not disappoint. The Caesar was classic. But the mushroom and cheese ravioli were fabulous! Not too heavy and I loved the macadamia nut topping. Beautiful view for a classic restaurant.

Ask the Community - Keoki's Paradise

    Is there a keiki menu?

    Yes :-)

    Are RSVP required?

Yes, RSVP is required. Otherwise you’ll probably end up waiting for a table for a long time.

Do you have a happy hour? If so what days and hours?

Yes, specialty booze drinks and small plates offered mid-afternoon.

I'm in Seattle but my son is heading there in a week. Is there a way I can get him a gift certificate?

Yes! eGift cards are available at: https://tsrestaurants.securetree.com/Keoki-s-Paradise/Keoki-s-Paradise-eGift-Card/

Do you have to have a reservation?

No but you may be waiting a hour or two, so reservations are highly recomended, if you make them days in advance.

Can you hear the live music from the dining room or only from the Bamboo bar?

You can hear music throughout the restaurant

Is there still live music if it rains?

There may still be music because there are covered areas to accommodate the musicians even with rain.

Is happy hour only in the bar area?

When we were there in May we sat in the outdoor dining area and were able to have happy hour prices

I have a reservation for the dining room on a Monday at 6:30pm but I'd rather sit in the Bamboo Bar, I think. Does anyone know the average wait for the Bamboo Bar?

I think bar area is basically first come, first serve. I went there twice during happy hour (between 4-6ish) and was immediately seated in bamboo bar area.

Anyone try the twin lobster tail entre?

No but the ravioli was very good and the nachos (with pig) was very hefty. I'm sure the lobster is good.

The restaurant itself is fine, but nothing overwhelmingly great, other than the spectacular beachfront view of the ocean. The Elite Member Breakfast is served here, and per Marriott's continuous decline in service to Elite members, it's fine, but nothing to write home about. The breakfast option I primarily chose was the "Kauai Breakfast," which includes a very small and not great tasting egg frittata, along with a couple slices of pineapple and a Greek yogurt parfait with fruit and granola. I've also tried their tempura green beans as an appetizer, which were actually quite good. They came served with a side of wasabi ranch dipping sauce, and they hit the spot! It was time to wind down my first night here, but I also wanted to try one of only two bars/restaurants on the property during my limited time. Whenever I stayed at a hotel, I always wanted to try any onsite restaurants with hopes of getting a well-rounded experience. They offered breakfast (7am-11am), lunch (11am-5pm), dinner (5pm-9pm), and drinks (all day and a daily Happy Hour 2pm-3pm). They even delivered to your room if you were feeling lazy or not well. Would I order a themed cocktail such as a lava flow, or something else while I lazed steps away from Poipu Beach!? PURCHASE(S) Poipu Paniolo Cocktail ($18.00): Made with cranberry juice, lemon juice, ginger ale, simple syrup, Buffalo Trace bourbon whiskey, this was an effervescent fruity sweet elixir with a kiss of harshness from the whiskey. It kind of fit the tropical scene perfectly. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=aKkFSUKzr9qUdfys24MTqQ Koholā Brewery Lahaina Haze NEIPA Beer 16floz Draft ($8.50): Hazy rich orange color, citrus hoppy aroma, light body, citrusy hoppy flavor, slight mouthfeel smooth finish, and minimal citrus hoppy aftertaste. An easy hazy to enjoy! SERVICE One busy friendly woman managed the drinking degenerates at this "late" time of night (everything closed early on Kaua'i) before they closed-up in about 30 minutes. I quickly scanned the drink menu for my first victim, ordered that, and once last-call was made, I placed a final order. Each time, I was able to watch my drinks be prepared and gracefully ready. Everything was straightforward, and she did a wonderful job filling the orders, cleaning her station, and getting us out of the bar - mahalo! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) I had no vehicle, so I simply walked from my room. However, there was a nightly $40.00 fee for guests if they parked on the property, and there might've been some free parking along the many nearby roads and streets. Plenty of natural lighting everywhere while numerous electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several TVs all around the bar area but couldn't recall any background music since I was chatting with fellow strangers. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Wrapping up the night with a couple of drinks at Lava's On Poipu Beach was pleasant, soothing, and I would love to return to actually try their food which looked and smelled amazing when I was in the area beaching. I enjoyed my drinks, they surprisingly weren't overly priced, the views were not to be missed during the daytime, and the service was on-point and very professional. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $28.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip).
