I accompanied my sister in law who needed to purchase a vehicle, we test drove the car she wanted to purchase, negotiated the price, expressed that we were willing to put down $3K with no extended warranty nor gap insurance. Even time they came back, they came back with much higher downpayment amounts in excess of 20%, and monthly amount that included extended warranty and gap insurance. Even after repeating 4 times that we didn't want them included, they kept coming back with them included and we had to ask them why every time. OK, so my sister in law made a few poor financial decisions when she was young and in college, but has a good job now and is rebuilding her credit, but these guys smelled blood and were going to take advantage of this situation and demanded for 20% interest. We asked to take extended warranty out again and they said that if we do that the interest rate will go up. I've never heard of such a thing. They said, well with my sister's credit score, this is a risk for the bank. Are they speaking for the bank now? For illustrating higher down payments of 33% and more instead of 20% like we consistently said, they were not giving her a fair rate. I knew from my own research she'll probably have to be OK with 9-12%, but they did not budge even with 33% down. I called them out on this predatory practice and that they were taking advantage of her financial situation and all they could say was that 'we're running a business here at the end of the day' which basically means admission of bad business behavior. We threatened to walk away and get a loan elsewhere, and only then did they show willingness to lower the rate. They came back with 15%, still not good enough. They basically made us wait over and over for an hour or so only to come back with the extended warranty and gap insurance added back on with not much improvement in the offer, so we had enough and left. Sister in law stayed back because she really needed a car and I was expecting the worst for her alone. Not sure what happened afterwards, but my sister in law called back and said the finance manager offered her a rate just under 7% in the end. Why would the salespeople start off with 20% and not listen to our continuous request for no extended warranty and gap insurance, I have no idea. Are they just trying to get people that are unsuspecting and take advantage? If they had been fair from the get go and offered her 12% to start, she probably would have taken the offer right away, because she didn't have much other choice. I think she ended up finally leaving after 3-4 hours of just sitting there waiting for these guys to get everything sorted. Complete waste of our time and honestly doesn't inspire much confidence that they have the best interest of their customers - all because they're 'trying to run a business'? Shameful. read more

I am in the market for a new car.. Prius. One of their salespeople "Edwin" emailed me but their email doesn't work because "the domain could not be found". So, I gave him a call. I asked him for the prices and breakdowns and if he could email me. He refused and said these are the prices over the phone and there's a 5k markup. I told him other dealerships in the neighborhood have sent me quotes and the most markup I've seen is $250 for the vehicle I'm looking for. $5k markup is way too much. Then he asked me why I haven't gone to the other dealerships then? Well, I am shopping and I'm trying to find the best deal possible. Also, different dealerships have different colors etc.. if you are offering the same price and you have my preferred color, I'll go with you but since Edwin is not interested in emailing me any quotes, I'll do what he suggested and will go to other dealerships. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I've never in my life been spoken to in such a disrespectful manner as I was spoken to by the sales guy Peter. He was the pushiest and most aggressive sales person I've ever met. I found multiple better deals from sales people at another dealership I've worked with in the past and he accused me of lying and asked for the VIN number. He told me "3 people have tried to buy this car during the time we've been talking and they're willing to pay $3k more than me" and I said then you should sell it to them because they clearly want it more and then he called me insane. My sister was there and she felt like she couldn't leave because he wouldn't stop ranting about how I am lying and he's giving the best deal etc. I was literally tempted to call the police at one point. I literally found the exact same car for a lower price and a better/newer model for the same price and he said I'm full of shit. Wow. Just wow. Keyes Totyota sold me a 2023 Toyota in February. They sold it to me with only one set of keys. They told me at the beginning of summer that Toyota financial would e-mail. I contacted them again at the end of summer and they told me that Toyota financial would contact me in October. No contact again. Please do not make the same mistake and buy a truck from this dealership without getting your spare key. I lost my key in October but I was lukcy to find. I scheduled a visit 9/23/2023 with Keyes Toyota to do an oil change, rotate my tires, and cabin air filter element change. When I arrived, I informed them that there was developing an awful smell inside the cabin and I feared there was a dead rodent someplace in my Tacoma pickup. The service agent was very nice and said that if during the work they found the animal remains they would clean it out - but no guarantee they would find it. My service work was done quickly... and when the vehicle was returned to me, I noticed the smell was as bad as before, if not worse. After another 6 days of suffering the horrible stench of rotting flesh and fur, I searched around on the internet and decided to investigate the cabin air filter myself. Lo and behold: a dead rat (which was mostly decomposed but still moist and with tail) was UNDERNEATH the freshly (replaced by Keyes Toyota) cabin air filter element! The filter element was visibly raised above where the dead rat was perched on one of the fan support beams. That's when I decided to make a video... read more
