I'm very upset & unsatisfied customer with Keyes I bought Toyota Camry this is my 4th one btw. and I won't go or recommend to any one to go. They deliver the car without floor Mats. They told me after I sign all paperwork you have to buy your own floor mats. They're lire's no customer satisfaction they don't answer or return my calls. I have bought Toyota's from Longo they're more professional and they know how to take care of customer. Keyes don't even deserve one star. I have had a bad experience with Keyes Toyota and has been only 3 weeks I bought a car from them. Car had some issues which didn't show when I test drove it. It took me 3 trips to their service department and leaving the car overnight twice. One of the issues was that the emergency brake wasn't working properly. How didn't their 160-point inspection catch these issues? It would have been less hassle for all of us. Some service advisors are very rude and feels like they're doing us a big favor. I just called them and asked the receptionist when I should expect to receive the permanent registration, and she rudely responds "not anytime soon", I asked how soon I should expect to receive it, and she responds that "I should have asked the finance department". Come on, how do they place people like that to answer their phone calls? She could just have said "I'll transfer you to the finance department which handles registrations". I wasn't rude or anything, I politely asked my question and was greeted with rudeness. Sales department was fine, no complaints there. Finance department was ok, very pushy to buy extended warranty and GAP insurance. read more

I purchased a car recently here. Brought my father with me for the process just in case. We were treated nicely that day. It is a good car & I am happy with it - a bit expensive for the amount of miles on it, but overall a good car. My issues are with the sale service. When I purchased the car it was late at night & hard to see. The tire pressure was low, they insisted it was because it was cold. We worked out a detailing included when I were to bring it back by myself the following couple days (it was VERY dirty inside). The detailing included later seemed fine to us since Honda Miller did something similar when I got my first car from them. The staff in finance was great, informative, & helped me pick service packages. No problems - great experience there. The next day I took the tire pressure at home, some were at 38 & one was at 20- drastically high & low. Dangerous to have driven honestly. I brought it in to service & there was a hole in the back tire. The mechanic service was great, located a replacement tire near by, & had me out of there in a few hours. I couldn't do the detailing the same day - which worked out anyway since the tire pressure light came back. I brought it in for the detailing like we agreed, waited over an hour, but apparently "detailing" is to wipe down the exterior & shine the wheels. Which is how they prepped it the day I took it off the lot. Not something I would have agreed to in the price or have taken time out of my schedule for. I pointed out the coffee/drink marks & dirt around the interior, on the ceiling, side of door, etc. - they were shocked I wanted the interior cleaned. Made it out as if I was asking to move mountains. Three hours & they only cleaned one of the spill marks plus a quick vacuum. I ended up detailing myself since it wasn't being handled correctly, was wasting hours at this point (while still need to go to the service to reset the tire pressure error before it closed). Overall, the fact that sales let a car with a hole in the tire off the lot & brushed it off due to "cold weather" didn't feel good. It was dangerous. Then promising "detailing" only to clean a spot when pushed to do so - felt very cheated in this area. Anyways, lessons learned when detailing with sales: never accept a deal for "detailing" after you buy a car (unless it's Honda Miller lol), always bring a man with you, & if theres any error don't take it until it's inspected by service. read more

Terrible customer service from "Sal" working at the parts department. Instead of being helpful, his response was short and rude. Everytime I asked him a question his remarks were condescending, like I should already know the answer. I wouldn't be asking them if I knew!!! Went in for a simple car appraisal on my 17" Lexus to see what my options were On trading in my lease for a new Camry. I met with ED the salesperson he made it real easy to show me what I would want in a Vehicle and showed me a perfect car. Sales staff was very good. We arrived at 3 or 4pm and after a couple of tests drives had signed a paper on the car we chose by 6pm. We left at 9:20 pm. The bottleneck was the financing, and we waited 2 hours for our turn. Had I been alone, I would have left. At 8pm we got our turn and did paperwork for a little over an hour. The finance person kept waiting on his computer to give him the quotes for add-ons we said we didn't want ("just to see what the amount is "). I do want to highlight that the trade-in value we received (Chevy) was $3,500 more than Keyes Honda next door, where we stopped first. read more

The second experience was worse than the first. Keyes was supposed to provide transportation to and from the dealership, but they dropped the ball. In the morning, it took one hour to have a Lyft pick me up and take me home. In the afternoon, the Lyft service failed completely and I had to get a ride with a neighbor. When I called the dealership, the first agent hung up, and the other left me on hold for over 10 minutes and just sent me to a voicemail. Basically, I was stuck at home with no way to get back to the dealership. If this is Keyes' idea of fixing a situation, it's seriously lacking. This was a terrible experience and was far more stressful than it should have been. Again, I would not recommend Keyes to anyone. read more

Updated: 10/2/18 We received a letter to return the car to the dealership because we were never approved by Toyota Credit...We went back AGAIN immediately and told to ignore the letter. First Car payment was due in a week and we have still have no account number. We called Toyota and they stated they have no record of a lease. We called the dealership next for clarification and spoke with finance manager Harry - who told us we were denied everywhere. We explained to him that we have Tier 1 Credit, we have the car, and we're indeed approved. He placed us on hold, came back and said "nevermind someone had to call", and that he submitted the paperwork to Toyota. He stated everything was approved. We asked him to confirm if everything moving forward would be correct and that all paperwork was submitted. He stated "Yes. I sent everything over just now, someone forgot initially." The following week, still no account number. We then receive a second letter in the mail that Toyota Credit denied the lease contract because they were "unable to verify identity". Infuriated again, at 8pm we went back to the dealership for the 4th time. They couldn't find anything in the system. Finally, they said the car payment was due in 4 days, they provided an account number, and stated that Harry actually never submitted the paperwork until that morning, which was 3 full days later. Horrible experience. By the way... her credit has now been run 4 times, "unauthorized" and they have no idea why. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR BRAKES DONE HERE!!! I went in for normal service at 150k miles. They said I needed a couple things done including my front brakes. 3 days later my brakes starting squeaking and I know how to break them in. A couple weeks later I get a flat in my front left tire. I try to put the spare on but can't get the lug nuts off. I'm JUMPING on the wrench trying to get them loose. It's absolutely ridiculous how tight they put on the lugs! I ended up sheering off the bolt. I call them to see if they can help in anyway. I was told John would call me back immediately. After a week I called back again and was promised the same thing. Still never heard from John so I went to a mom and pop shop down the street. I will never come back here and will tell everyone to steal clear. Be especially wary of John. Terrible service read more

My third Corolla (and sixth Toyota) lease was set to expire. Here, I test drove the same edition in the current year. Then, I reasonably requested to test drive the upgraded edition, to help determine which car I wanted so we could negotiate price and other terms on a particular car. However, the salesman refused. He snapped that he worked hard for his money and had a family to support. The tone of voice was not appreciated. Furthermore, I work hard for my money too. Moreover, reasonable business practices do not permit consumers to be pressured into entering a lease before they intend to be legally bound thereby. He also began breathing heavy and we were in a small enclosed space. Being a much larger man than I made this that much more uncomfortable. That is why I am not naming the salesman here. However, I did name the salesman to the manager in a follow up call. The manager accused me of lying. I may never do business with any Toyota dealer again. It is cliché but true that it takes a long time to build a positive relationship with a brand, yet not long to destroy it. read more

I originally went to have my transmission fluid changed and have a sound check out on my car!!! So after leaving my car the specialist or whatever he was said that my wheel bearing were probably the cause of the sound so I figured hey it's already there lets get it done then he told me the price and said total for all the work would be roughly $2700 and some change so I asked will this make the sound go away he said most likely so I said cool get it done!! Back in 2017, I leased a Prius through Keyes Toyota and had an overall pleasant experience. I returned the car in Dec 2020, which was a very easy process. I would recommend this dealership for their leasing services. Four months later, I was ready to finance, rather than lease, another car. I went to Keyes and worked with Allan R. to get the exact car I was looking for. He showed me a 2021 Prius XLE and worked tirelessly with the finance department (I would even go as far as to say advocated!) to get me a price that I was happy with. Although I am generally a nervous buyer, Allan made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout the entire process. He was very patient and did not hesitate to answer any questions or help me understand the features of the car. He even assured me that if I had any issues I could call him at any time and he would make himself available to help. I'm really happy with my car and the buying experience at Keyes. I took my car for maintenance today and I waited almost for 3 hours. First, I wanted to check out a car because I'm thinking of trading it. A sales person approaches me and asks what I'm looking for and I told him. He was not helpful at all and I could tell he only wanted to make a sale. I moved on and I noticed that majority of the customers that were there prior and after me were leaving with their cars. I called to get an estimated time. I was just told that because I booked my appointment online they have to confirm that they have to check if they have the oil so that's why I have to wait longer which is the first time I get told this. 30 seconds later I get a called from the advisor Eduardo S. that my car was ready. There was no apology from him. So my car was just there ready and I didn't get a call? Please have your team work on customer service. An apology can go a long way. read more

They are the lowest form of crooks & vultures you will ever encounter. They prey upon women and people who can't afford it and put them in upside down loans. I respond with "sure no problem" then I proceed to ask to test drive a car "You can't test drive a car unless you order a car and pay the deposit. Only then can you test drive the car after 8-14 months" best part was his equally rude associate trying to explain and defend his rationale. 30 minutes later I pop into Mercedes and greeted with a very welcome sales person who suggest I test drive the car without even having me ask. If we could we would give a BIG ZERO Bought a certified auto for my son. On top of that we paid $ 2900.00 plus for the best warranty. Bought the auto about 8 month ago. Took it back now 3 times . 1st time even with the warranty the service manager Kirk made us paid $300 plus to get our car back. Something about dirty fuel injector. How is that our fault? you sold us the car we have warranty right? It gets better, we pay him just to get the car back, then it happends 2 more times. Now the last time 1 month ago, KIRK , THE SERVICE ADVISOR admited that the fuel injector was bad. Kept the car for 1 month. Never gave our money back , not even in a credit for tires or something after we have the full warranty that we bought So if the fuel injector was bad, why did we have to pay the 1st time. Beware Black People, They don't like US there This particular dealership really gets under my skin. As an African American Male living in the Sherman Oaks area, I'm often second looked and/or ostracized so I can take a few punches every now and then from the common stranger, but when It comes to Customer Service, ESPECIALLY with my vehicle, then this is where I draw the line. I worked in Retail Management for most of my early adulthood so I understand the plight of the customer being "always right" but it seems lately the roles have switched and customer service is obsolete. I've had a prior experience with this KEYES Dealership back in 2021, when my Aunt accompanied me to purchase my new car. I was so excited as I have never done this before and was so ready to return back to the Toyota family as they have been in my family for generations (Mom had one, Dad had one, etc.) To my dismay, both my Aunt and I were profiled in your location. The Salesman was nice and we were almost outside the door, but when he went to talk with management, the manager of the location at the time (This was April 2021) was a complete jerk to us, and even attempted to dismiss us because he didn't think we were serious or able to purchase this car. What he didn't know though, however, is that my bank had already cleared a car loan for me and I walked into that dealership with a blank check (and very high limit), so noticing this change of behavior and disrespect, my Aunt and I (after my aunt gave a few words to this manager) left, and instead I purchased my RAV4 at the Toyota of Glendale instead, where the service was literally night and day. I told myself one day I would walk into this dealership with my car and let them know on the sale they missed because of the discrimination on people who look like me and take it as a lesson learned, but decided to take the higher road because well...you just never know maybe the Manager was having a bad day. Keeping in mind I live literally 0.7 miles away from where I reside. Fast Forward 2 years later, I decided to take my car there to get my routine service, as I have TOYOTA care (with extension). I figure I give it another try with the place close to me because I didn't want to go all the way to the North Hollywood location (who treats me very well btw). Soon as I get there, I'm greeted with attitude by one of the service consultants who was directing traffic. He asked me if I had an appointment to which I replied yes, and I gave him my name. This guy (after I told him my name) mis pronounced my first name (which I'm used to as my name is commonly pronounced as Latin when its French), to which I politely corrected him. In return, dude gave me the biggest attitude and dismissed me off, so much in fact that when he told me to move my car he was already walking away when he said it. Ok, I guess I offended him because he said my name wrong but I digress, but set the tone for what was to come. Juan, my service consultant, seemed to be more in a rush to get me out of his office then he was to provide good service to me, which is fine again because the place was crowded, I get it. I've also noticed the tone/behavior to other customers that were getting their car serviced a bit brighter and engaging. Ok, again, did I do something wrong? Guess so. I couldn't wait for that Lyft to come pick me up so I can get out of there. Then when I returned to pick up my vehicle, I knocked on Juan's office and he told me "Oh yeah go to the cashier they have your stuff. Thank you" as dry as the Palm Springs air. Wow ok, so I head to the cashier and when they asked me for my information, turns out Juan still had my paperwork in his office, but instead so busy trying to dismiss me off I guess he didn't notice. I just took my stuff and left. I would really hate to think due to my skin tone or youthful look (I'm pretty sure that Juan guys was a baby and I'm very much older than him), I get a certain tier of service, but based on my history with this place ..yeah go ahead and click the "Not African American friendly" box on the checklist. What really sucks about this is all is that my Brown Brothers did this to me, and they of all people should understand how discrimination/racism feels, but I guess this is just the times we live in today. I'm NEVER taking my vehicle there again, I'll just stick to where I'm valued and appreciated. Came in yesterday afternoon with my sister. We don't have appointment, we just want to check out the cars and deals that they have. Right when we walked in Morry greeted us and asked us what car are we looking for. I told him the specifically what I want and I was able to test drive it. In the beginning everything went smooth. When we start discussing about the price of the car Morry totally change his attitude to us. Im planing to trade my car and I mentioned them how much my mileage in my car. Morry asked for my car keys to check the VIN# of my car and to check my mileage. He came back to us and showed us paper with numbers. I have strict budget and I'm not going to change my mind with the price that I want. Morry insulted me saying "you can't afford the car you want", in my head I'm like "boy you don't know who your talking too!" He asked for my credit card and I gave him my Amex card. He left our table and talked to his boss, then his boss came to us saying we have to be flexible, and I was. I told them NO and I want my keys and credit card back! They both left and Morry will get my stuff. BUT NO!! A manager name Jim talked to us saying that the price that I want is impossible so my sister and I told them THEN GIVE ME MY KEYS AND MY CREDIT CARD NOW! We don't want the car! Jim and Morry left the table AGAIN they said they will give me my stuff. AGAIN NO!!! Another guy came in our table saying "please give me 10secs" And we said NO! Give me my stuff! The 4th guy that we talked too, he finally gave us my keys and card. HOWEVER! When we are walking outside this 4th guy was waiting for us. But we told him to give me my papers that I signed! My sister walked inside with him to get my papers, then my sister found out that MORRY STOLE my CAR REGISTRATION!! I was in the car and my engine is on and I'm ready to go. When my sister told me that they have my CAR REGISTRATION I got really mad so I turn off the engine and I walked towards Morry I told him "I gave you my keys to check for VIN # and mileage BUT you are not allowed to touch my stuff and steal from me!" I was standing in front of him for 10secs and he couldn't say anything! I went back to my car and when we are about to leave Morry knocked on my window saying "I've been nice to you and this is what I'm gonna get?" I told him "STEALING IS NOT NICE!" What if I actually left the building and I get pulled over ? Then I'm in trouble right?! Seriously why would you take my car registration without my permission?! They held us hostage, they harassed us, they don't want to give me my stuff and stole my car registration! And they didn't apologize! It sucks I didn't get a chance to take a video. December decision. Decision on a lease. Been here numerous times, paper process is quicker than them..washing, putting gas and giving you the key! We thought we'll be out in maybe less than 3 hours??nah, almost 6 hours!!!! Like I said , decision process 30 minutes, credit check, processing 1 hour, waiting for the car nearly 4 hours!! My bejesus! And we still have to return the ...NEW CAR because nothing would function! Somethings gotta change! And they dont have their Christmas tree like they always do when December comes.
