We've eaten at this "unique" buffet several times since we moved to SoCal Nov 2012. They do not have this in any of the Las Vegas KFC's. For the price, the food was not bad, $7.99 for adults, $4.99 for 6-12's and $2.99 for 2-6's. However, our visit last night changed my thoughts on this buffet. They no longer have the grilled or original chicken on the buffet line. You are given a drumstick and a thigh, based on your choice of cooking method. You can pay 80 cents more if you want all white meat instead. After getting your chicken, you are given drink cups that have shrunk in size from previous visits. I'm guessing the cup size they provide is around 12 oz now. You also get extra plates for chicken/buffet refills and your dessert plates as well. But you still have to go back to the counter and request more chicken. The rest of the entree, salad and desert items on the buffet look unappealing and many were not even touched by others before us. Based on this past experience, this will probably be our last visit to the KFC buffet. read more

The unique feature of this KFC is the all you can eat buffet. They keep the chicken in the racks behind the counter. You have to ask for more chicken with each trip to the buffet. Salad, sides, wings and biscuits are out on the steam tables for the taking. $9 sounds like a great deal for a fountain drink plus all the chicken you can eat but the quality reflects the price. You get what you pay for KFC is known for sourcing their chickens from the the worst factory farms in the poultry industry. KFC chickens never see the sun or breathed fresh air throughout their entire miserable lives. Antibiotics and growth hormones are used to stimulate rapid growth such that the birds' skeleton cannot keep up. These birds are fractured and hemorrhaging by the time they make it to slaughter. As I ate my chicken, I couldn't help but notice that most of the bones inside the meat were brittle and fractured. Some pieces of chicken exhibited signs prolonged trauma, as evidenced by abnormal diaphysis shape consistent with chronic bone remodeling. I felt like I was eating deformed monstrosities. Worse yet, the staff do not restock the buffet in a timely manner nor do they keep it clean. As a result, the buffet looks incredibly messy and there was hardly enough food for patrons. If you are reading this review and wondering if you should go to KFC, you must be desperate. If you can, drive away from Lake Elsinore area to get some real food, do so. Tried to go in vs drive thru this time. They charge $8.99 for the buffet unless you get breast meat. If you get breast meat you pay an extra $.79 which seemed ok. Then you find out it is for ever breast piece you get is $.79 cents. So $8.99 + $.79 + $.79 and one more $.79. That adds up quick then for 3 pieces buffet it's almost $11.50 vs $8.99 kind of a rip off. Not a big fan as I could go to Golden Corral for that price and have a ton more options and fresh food compared to what is out and waiting for more if I wanted more. read more

All chickened out, extremely stuffed and im about to explode!!! Let me just start this review by saying oh mylanta!!!! Took the kids and the honey here tonight.....had the all you can eat buffet. Damn was it hella good!!! I kept going back and forth between the chicken wings and their drumsticks!!! Whew was it ever so good!!! Omg bomb i must say!!! Nice selection of sides at the buffet counter.....rice with corn and chicken and bell peppers, mashed potatoes & gravy, coleslaw, mac & cheese, chilaquiles, buffalo wings, bbq wings, corn, green beans, peas, salad bar, apple pie, apple cinnamon muffin, peaches, pineapple, chocolate pudding, vanilla pudding, jello, south western egg rolls, and biscuit & honey!!!! Now what more could you ask for!?!?!? Btw the buffet comes with a small drink. After we were done i could hardly breathe!!! One thing about me and all you can eat buffets...we totally go together so i need to control the monster in me. Anyway what stood out @ this KFC was the staff. Always good all you can eat.... except 30 min before they stop serving of course. Every time I come to this place they are busy and do the best service they can. The 2 different lady manager they have here are both cool. Even gave me a free drink when I had to wait for them to cook my baked chicken. Disgusting Post.. don't read if you like KFC (Sorry Dad). I went to KFC on Summerhill in Lake Elsinore like we normally do. Don't ask me why, but I Always look at the product discard times on the back of the buffet... just looking at freshness. I noticed todays discard time was 6:00. As i was looking at the buffet bar, several items looked like it had been there all day ( I skipped the buffet portion of this meal today). Beans were shriveled up like raisins, the biscuits were hard, the chicken and noodle thing had a crust of dried soup film all over the top of the serving pan... you get the point. The restaurant had us plus two other small parties in side, not very busy. I waited for 6:00 to get fresh items off the buffet; they never showed up. At 6:15 I talked to Diana from the front counter and let her know the food looked old and was past the holding time. She notified the store manager that the buffet need help ( I did not hear the conversation ). The manager (Esmerelda) told the buffet worked to change the mac and cheese as well as the potatoes ( I heard this conversation ). After 30 more minutes I watched the buffet worker change potatoes/gravy and the mac and cheese. She added some biscuits and changed some serving spoons, thats it. I could not take it any more, the restaurant was getting busy for dinner rush and the food was disgusting. I asked to speak to the manager (Esmerlda). After a few moments she came out to greet me. I let her know my concerns about food handeling and product rotation. She listened and then she told me she told the worker to change out everything. .. I told her she only mentioned mac and cheese and potatoes. She told me that product rotation was tracked to ensure freshness and not every product has the same expiration time. I immediately asked why everything shows the same time. She responded with it shouldn't. I showed her the 6:00 time and informed her I watched the worker erase the 6:00 and change it to 8:00. I then asked if some products expire in one hour then whey did the worker change them two hours. Her response was " I will take care of it". I then mentioned if everything was at 6:00 when I walked in, then everything must have expired at 4:00 and then changed to 6:00. Who knows how long the food was on the buffet. Esmerlda kept saying she would take care of it. I asked why it wasn't "taken care of" when I first voiced my concerns at 6:15? She said she would make sure it got corrected, to which I said, isn't that what you should have done at 4:00, 6:00 and 6:15? All she could say is she would take care of it... All of this to say, be very careful when you eat the buffet here... where is the health inspectors when you need them. This place is beyond...: everytime I come here they mess up the sides on my orders. Either they give me the wrong one, leave it out completely, or it's not hot.. a lot of the chicken strip pieces from here are small and thin barely any chicken to breading, and they over fry their foods a lot of the time. Chicken strips tasting over done and wedges burnt and bitter sometimes or even better completely dried out from sitting who knows how long. Same with the biscuits sometimes they are underdone and have gooey mess in the middle (inedible!) ot sometimes dry as chalk. The staff are rude when called out for getting the order wrong, and also this location frequently runs out of chicken! I ordered food at this restaurant at 8:08pm todayh. First, they forgot to give me an item (2 apple turnovers) that I had ordered. That's fine. The second and main problem is that my order was completely oil-logged. I've enclosed pictures ... the bag itself was literally filled with oil at the bottom. (I asked over the intercom why it was filled with oil; I was told that was due to the bags being near the chicken...) I had ordered the 5p tender combo in Georgia Gold. It was COVERED in oil. Tried the buffet for the first time today and it was pretty decent for the price ($8.99 per person). The 5 stars was more for the staff! For as busy as the place got, the staff stayed patient and kind despite angry customers trying to get in their faces. Unique all tou can eat menu. It is clean and the owner us very nice. I am rewriting my review with lower marks now. Avoid going to this KFC within an hour of closing. The times listed on Google are wrong. Call ahead. I have brought this up to staff many times. 8PM on weekends...9 PM during the week. The employees are ready to go home near closing. KFC= Kentucky Fried Crap! I've come to this location about 3 times and really, that's 3 times too many. The place is one of the few with a buffet. Food always looks like it's been sitting there a tad bit too long and can't bring myself to try it no matter how hungry I am. Also, the place is always filthy so good luck trying to find a clean table. What's more, the service is more miss than hit. Had even one of the employees laugh and say, "good luck" when ordering a bucket of the grilled chicken. Came here yesterday against my will(I wasn't driving) and we shared a bucket. I shoulda known this would be a horrible idea when I sat down on some krusty chicken skin. Or when I asked for hot sauce and they said, "we are all out for the day."(They're always running out of something!!) But stupid me, I ate a couple pieces. Wow... I always thought that this thing was a myth- like the Loch Ness Monster or something. But really, it DOES exist! And its soooo worth your $9. All you can eat grilled and fried KFC goodness (you pay extra to get the white meat, but its so worth it!)... EVERY single side that you can imagine is there. Yes, its true!! They have it all!!! The mac 'n chees you have to ask for, but thats fine, because then at least you know its not congealing under the heat lamp. You can heap on the mashed potatoes, potato wedges, gravy, and then end your meal with a big ol helping of delicious apple cobbler AND banana pudding (with the 'nilla wafers in 'em! YUM!!!). Yes, you TOTALLY eat your year's worth of calories there. YES, you most likely can go into coronary attack after your dinner, but as you're lying on that stretcher, you'll be doing it with a BIG smile on your face. Today, I was driving to work in a hurry. I needed a quick meal that would hold me over until I could eat dinner, and I didn't want a burger or any kind of tacos. KFC would fill the void for me today, and it would fill it well. I pulled into the Lake Elsinore KFC with great anticipation. Surely they would have a smallish meal that would meet my specific requirements. A wave of sheer excitement rushed through my head as found the menu solution for my hunger dilemma. The KFC Snacker! Was it just a chicken strip? No! Was it a full sandwich? No! It was the perfect hybrid. These simple, elegant, and beautiful morsels would fulfill my stomach's desires for the next few hours. But, alas, there was trouble ahead. Looking at the picture, I realized needed to course correct, and soon. Pickles, the step child of the vegetable family were clearly shown in the illustration of the offering. What could I do? Would I be forced to remove these nasty elements from my hybrid not-sandwiches while I was driving? Worse yet, would I forget to remove them and accidently ingest these nasty green circles? Surely, this would send me into a fit of rage, and probably cause an accident on the freeway. Thankfully for me, Sara was there to help. She very promptly assured me that she would have the pickles removed from my not-sandwiches. She also offered me my choice of beverage AND side item. I could have taken a different side than the fried wedges of potatoes, but how does one eat corn on the cob while driving 70 mph? In the interest of safety, I chose the higher cholesterol offering, but compensated by requesting a Diet Pepsi. As I pulled around to the window, Sara greeted me with a half-smile and asked for my form of payment. There was no chit-chat with Sara. She was a professional and her focus was on supplying my not-sandwiches and accompaniments with speed and diligence. Within 2 minutes (this surely was FAST food) she was shoving the bag filled with food, my drink, and a helpful straw into my car. I thanked her for her incredible service and began to pull away. A cursory check of the bag reveled that not only had Sara provided me with rapid service, but also very accurate. With no sight of pickles on my not-sandwiches, I transitioned my focus to merging onto the freeway. Well done, Sara, and well done KFC. Keep up the good work. read more

Literally didn't even eat here and had a bad experience. There was no parking at the in n out (which is where we were going to eat) per usual. We decided to park next door at the KFC, which we have done plenty of times before. As we are walking over I am assuming a manager busts out of the front door screaming "SORRY UHM YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK HERE" as if we have violated some type of rule. She stares us down and runs back into the building. We were all so confused that it took a second to realize what just happened. The KFC literally had 2 cars and 20 empty spaces wrapping around the building. It was completely unreasonable what she said and how she acted. The place is in Lake Elsinore/Menifee so expect the causal retired couple sitting in the booth next to you. But I'm OK with 'Ol Folks, i have grandparents myself so i wasn't scared off. This is the place to go if you want to eat at a buffet ~ it's the best bargain in town! The staff is mostly friendly and will give you whatever type of chicken you want if it's not already out. I made a small online order for approximately $27 today 1 1/2 hours before the restaurant closed. I arrived approximately 20min and tried to wait to pickup my order. All of the doors were locked. I tried calling the store 2 times. They didn't answer the phone. I then go into the drive thru line to try to get my food. As I am in line I can her the woman through the speaker telling customers they weren't going to cook any more food, just popcorn chicken because they close in 20min. I then get up to the speaker to tel them I am here to pick up an order. She starts by telling me that I need to go to GrubHub for a refund. I told her that I ordered directly from KFC an hour an a half ago. She asked for the name on the order. I gave it to her. She then said she didn't see it until now. I ordered 1 1/2 hours ago and you didn't see it? She then said no and she's not going to make any more orders because she's closing soon. Then told me to call customer service if there is a problem with that. Seriously the rudest, unprofessional, and poorest fast food experience I have ever witnessed and been involved in. I can't believe this place is open for business. They ruined Christmas Eve dinner for my family and many other families tonight. read more

Best service you will ever get at a kfc, staff are always great and manager is exceptional she should really get a raise KFC! the chicken is always piping hot and crispy and the buffet is a super deal and their stamp card is great. It's so awesome everytime I have a craving I drive further to get to this one, unbeatable! I only eat their chicken mainly and don't bother with much else as the chicken is such a deal. Don't know why others think you can't get other types of chicken just ask for what you want, they give you two at a time fresh and hot, as for cup size who cares, just go and refill more if you are a soda junkie and as for bland, the chicken is perfect and super salty, the rest is the usual and you can always add salt. read more

A couple of friends told me of this place over a year ago so finally I made the effort to give it a try. They had said the buffet was such a value & they hit it on the money. The cashier was friendly & helpful explaining the menu so I ordered the grilled chicken. I wasn't even aware KFC had such a thing. It was juicy & delicious. The corn was crisp & fresh. I also had the cole slaw which for whatever reason KFC makes in a way that makes theirs the best, so sweet & pleasant. Yep, I'm coming back bringing my wife knowing she'll like it. read more

I don't know where they get the chickens from but I'm assuming they stand outside with a BB gun and fire at crows and then bring the battered corpse inside for a quick flash in the deep fat fryer. My husband went to pick up dinner tonight after I ordered it an hour and half ahead of time and two hours before they said they were closing, and they refused to make our food because they were "closing in five minutes". They were incredibly rude not just to my husband but the people behind him. I'm literally on hold trying to get my refund with customer service while I'm typing this. Popcorn chicken is full of crisp n flavor. Their apple turn overs are good...crunchy on the outside and warm inside. Hubby loves the original recipe which is full of flavor. I just think it's pretty greasy but still yummy. read more

Some things have changed since the last time I was there for the lunch buffet. They don't keep the chicken in the bins anymore- you have to go to the counter to get two pieces at a time. I think that's an improvement because it ensures you're getting fresh chicken each time, in spite of other reviewers' criticism of this. They also have an assortment of dishes of varying quality aside from the standard KFC fare. Try them at your peril but some of them aren't bad. Overall it's a decent value if you're hungry but be warned that the food is so heavy that you'll get full quickly. But for a family situation I might think it would be better just to get a combo meal. There is one criticism that I have, something that really put me off from returning. It used to be that you could, with the buffet, request macaroni and cheese and they would give you a small side of it, as they didn't stock it at the buffet. The mac and cheese is an integral part of my KFC experience. They don't do that anymore. Rather, you will be directed to the buffet table which has a bin of ziti noodles with cheese sauce poured over them. It's absolutely disgusting and flavorless, and I won't eat it. It really sucks that they cheaped out this way. It was kind of a deal breaker for me and so I'll probably pass on this place in the future. read more
