It's always appreciated when establishment has its own parking area. You can easily park in the adjacent lot or there is a neighboring much larger lot next-door. Staff was quick to greet me as soon as I walked in. Had the cashew nut chicken and Thai coffee. Both were very fresh and the cashew nut was made to order. Good variety of vegetables in the cashew nut chicken and sauce was tasty. There is a patio area to dine outside. That looks nice but a bit too hot today for that.

My husband loved the food as much as I did. Many vegetarian pescatarian choices for us. We ordered a lot so we could bring home leftovers. I highly recommend this place. For Thai lovers, mom pop quality.

Wonton Soup (8.6/10) -- my favorite dish of the night. the wontons are juicy and crispy. The broth is light but so flavorful. Khao Soi Soup (8.2/10) -- spicy, salty, balanced well with the coconut milk. a great crunch and lovely add ons to adjust the soup to your taste. Crab Fried Rice (7.5/10) -- nothing outstanding but a good way to get full.

Tasty Thai! While parked in the big parking lot for Vons we saw a big sign for Khao Soi. We loved the dish so we just had to try the place! The crab Khao Soi is one of their specials and was quite fragrant and delicious! The combo of flat rice and crispy egg noodles was great with the veggies and bits of crab. We also enjoyed the drunken noodle with fried tofu. The dish looked not as saucy as other places but it was not bland and had a good kick from the chili. Of course you can always adjust the heat level to your liking. We came on a Monday night and there was quite a few folks having dinner plus a good stream of take out and delivery orders come through. Parking is available in front but can get crowded with all the businesses in the complex.

Location 4 stars: In Studio City, California, off of Ventura Blvd between Laurel Canyon and Whitsett. The restaurant is not physically on Ventura Blvd though. You will have to enter a long driveway into the shopping plaza and the restaurant will be to your left. There are a few parking spots in front of the restaurant and there is a parking structure on the premises. There is also limited metered parking on Ventura Blvd. Venue 4 stars: Smaller restaurant with indoor tables and booths and covered outdoor seating. Service 3 stars: Basic and sufficient. One disappointing thing that I noticed is that they recommend the tip amount based on the total after tax, which is not correct. Tipping is customarily calculated based on the total before tax. Some restaurants have been trying to do this recently which I find misleading and I will call them out on it. I have posted a picture of the check. Food 4 stars: Extensive and diverse menu of Thai cuisine, with all the usual staples and a few signature dishes. Prices were on par with similar restaurants. We started with the Tom Kha Chicken Soup and the Shrimp Cake Balls. For our main dishes, we had their signature Khao Soi with Crispy Pork, the Ka Prow Over Rice with Crispy Pork, and the Penang Curry with Chicken. Be aware that you have to order rice for the curry separately. I found the Shrimp Cake Balls to be rather bland and chewy. The sweet sauce that was provided with it did not help much either. I also felt that the Crispy Pork was too greasy and gamey but that might just be me. Everything else was great and recommended. Unfortunately we did not have room to try any of their desserts this time. Drinks 3 stars: No alcohol! Typical Thai restaurant menu of soft drinks, Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee. I had the Thai Iced Coffee and it was good. The Last Word 4 stars: A solid option for Thai food when you are in the area. Recommended!

7/10 I tried Khao So Thai through a delivery app because they had a special deal, and I'll say this they give you a ton of food for your money. The value is definitely there. That said, the flavors just didn't do it for me. It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't great. I've had plenty of Thai spots that leave you craving more with that mouthwatering taste, and this just didn't come close. Overall, I wouldn't order from here again, but if you're looking for large portions at a fair price, it could still work for you. I ordered khao soi and pad Thai

They say this place is the best Thai in studio city. Well then studio city must not have that great of a Thai scene. Because this was so mid

A super small unassuming restaurant that we just happened to come across. Now I've eaten a LOT of Thai food in my life including in Thailand and I will say the food here is AMAZING. We had the Khoi Soi Soup spicy with Tofu, the mango fish and Crab Fried Rice. All were amazing especially the Soup. Will definitely be back

If the restaurant is named after a dish, that dish better be on point and the khao soi here did not disappoint. It's usually not my go to order but after having it here, I've been converted. The duck noodles were also very flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly.

The interior is a bit small and not that much seating so expect to wait if they're busy. The wait is so worth it though. Everything we ate was so good and well seasoned. The Thai tea tasted a bit watered down

Came here for dinner. Their website says they close at 9:00 pm on Saturday, but in fact, they close at 10:00 pm. Kelsey provided wonderful service. We ordered the larb salad, green curry, and chicken satay. The chicken satay was extremely juicy. The peanut sauce and cucumber salad were the perfect compliments. Although the larb salad had a really good flavor, it was definitely more spicy than expected because of the red pepper flakes they put inside. Nevertheless, the dressing had such a good flavor and the amount of chicken it had was so plentiful. My absolute favorite dish was the green curry. It was so extremely flavorful. It had the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. I got it mild because it definitely is far too spicy otherwise. I would highly recommend. Also, loved the Moo ping with sticky rice (pork skewers) and blanket shrimp. The pork is juicy and flavorful. Cooked to perfection. The blanket shrimp were lightly fried with a thin layer of soy paper. The shrimp were huge and delicious. I will definitely be back because they have so many items in their menu that look absolutely delicious. The only downfall is they are closed on Sundays.

    Tom Yum Soup
    Linh B.

Overall the food is pretty good. The Tom Yum has really good flavor I just wish there were more veggies and meat in it. The Pad Thai and Moo Ping were excellent. The service was a bit slow. The restaurant was full of patrons and they were slammed with takeout orders. There were only 2 people working the front and you could feel the stress of being understaffed from them. Definitely recommend just be prepared to a wait a little bit during their dinner rush!

I'm thinking of trying the restaurant out and I wanted to ask what are the popular dishes there?

Khan Soi for sure! It's a noodle soup from northern Thailand and theirs is really good - I almost always get it when I go cause it's so good!

What he apparently did not notice during this research phase was one fairly major detail: the entire restaurant is vegan. Once he realized it, there was a definite moment of hesitation. I was more in the camp of, "Well, you brought us here. We're committed now." Thankfully, his accidental vegan ramen selection turned out to be a very good one. The space is compact and dimly lit, with dark walls, simple wood tables, and a warm glow throughout. It was packed when we went, which gave the room a lively energy, but it still felt cozy rather than chaotic. Once the bowls arrived, any skepticism disappeared pretty quickly. The broth was much richer and more flavorful than either of us expected, with that creamy, savory quality you want from a comforting bowl of ramen. We both finished ours. I had the No. 9 Truffle Salt Ramen and added fried dumplings to mine. The dumplings gave the bowl a nice crispy contrast, and the truffle flavor came through without overpowering everything else. The funniest part is that neither of us walked in specifically looking for vegan ramen. We just wanted a good bowl of ramen, and that's exactly what we got. Parking is available in the shared plaza lot, but keep in mind those spaces are shared with the neighboring businesses. Street parking is another option if the lot is full. My friend may not have realized he was taking us for vegan ramen, but I'm giving him full credit for the accidental discovery.

The staff is friendly, service is fast, and the whole menu is vegan. Although some may consider…read morethis to be a unique dining experience, and probably intended for our fellow vegetarians and vegans, unfortunately this restaurant is not for me. I am not vegan, nor am I opposed to trying new vegan spots, but this one was doing the most. The menu is so simple, yet so elaborate with the different flavored soups you can choose. I tried the No. 8 red hot miso signature ramen bowl. Signature ramen bowls came with corn, dumpling, arugula, ginger tofu scramble, noodles, and crispy onion. I think warm arugula was not for me, and the tofu scramble was way too much since the broth was already so rich. The signature priced at $23. The broth is very thick, heavy, and overpowering. The broth is so rich and thick that I could not even finish the bowl without getting so tired of it halfway. The flavors were very interesting. There was a smoky hint and smell throughout the restaurant, and I was not the biggest fan of it. Once the bowl of ramen is ready, they put this glass lid on time and wait a certain time until they walk it out. My cousin tried the mac and cheese, and that was delicious. The truffle taste is very present and lingered the entire night - forewarning. Inside the restaurant was unique house music playing loudly and it was dark. It was giving mysterious dining. For presentation and creativity, this place gets a 10/10. I do not think I will be returning. Additional suggestion: having meat alternative options to add to the bowl. Parking is terrible in the small plaza and it is difficult to find parking on Ventura Blvd.

The place is small but very cute, so many decorations and very fun to look at. My boyfriend and I ordered original dukbokki, kimchi Jeon (korean pancake), we shared yukaejang (beef and veggie soup) and he got a pork katsu rice bowl and sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken. The owner came first with a couple of banchans, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and japchae. First of all, wow. Those banchans got me excited for the food because her kimchi and everything else tasted just like my mom's. Then when all the food actually came out, I was just making dolphin sounds because everything was so good. My boyfriend was silent so I knew he was enjoying his food I looked over at him and he had a plate of chicken in his face haha Dukkboki had such good flavor and I love the fish cakes Kimchi jeon - so crispy so clean tasting, her soy sauce dip was fresh and delicious but honestly was not needed the jeon was delicious by itself Boyfriend's pork katsu bowl was good! Katsu was crisp and veggies were freshly steamed The crisp and juiciness of the Korean fried chicken was soooo good. And the owner was so sweet she reminds me of my favorite Korean auntie! She was telling us she oil she used for the chicken was just switched out so it was fresh and the jeon was crispy so eat it while it's hot hehe I think her husband was the chef and he was so nice too! They were just chilling eating together when my boyfriend and I came in and continued to after they made our food so it was nice to see them relax and laugh My boyfriend and my favorite food that we tried here was absolutely hands down the yukaejang. It's my dad's favorite soup so I wanted my boyfriend to try it but I was hesitant because a lot of Korean places are a hit or miss with yukaejang. Most of the time, it's too watery. But when it came out, it was FILLLED with all the good things and piping hot. And I tried one slurp of that soup and I was done. I couldn't get this bowl out of my face it was absolutely amazing, so flavorful. And don't tell my mom but I have to say it was better than hers and it was soooo freaking good. My boyfriend absolutely adored this place and we want to come back to try the sushi the next time we're in town! They have a very wide selection of Korean food and they're open late, service was so fast and kind, owner and her husband were so lovely! We will be back :)

I couldn't wait to mix it with the noodles. I m not one who likes thin noodles, but these noodles were great. So good job on the noodles. When taking a taste of the broth, I got a little disappointed. It was saltier than expected. I didn't want to ruin the original flavor, but I had to squeeze some limes. It was also a bit too oily. I know the truffle played a part in it so I am just sad about the salty part. The Wagyu wontons didn't help. The skin was fine, but the filling was super salty. Check it out for yourself. 10/11/2025 Update- It saddens Frankenstein to see so many fake reviews over and over again. Really Noodles Kitchen? Please.

My fiancé and I make a habit of coming here at least twice a year, once for Valentine's Day and another for our anniversary. Intimate lighting, friendly staff, and excellent food. The Teppan Kaisen Crab roll is a must, we get it every single time. Drink choices are somewhat limited for those who don't like alcohol, but they have the necessities (water, soda, etc.) Portions are on the smaller size for the price, but that lets us order a variety of food, we typically split an appetizer and 2-3 dishes between the two of us and spend around $90-$120 each time we're here. This place will get a little busy on select nights so I recommend getting a reservation in advance to be safe, but wait time without one is only around 15-30 minutes. Parking is difficult and we often pay for the valet (it's the only place we ever valet at) but that's just the nature of the area it's in, so I don't think it fair to knock it down in rating for that alone. Overall a great, intimate spot for a nice date night!

The service, however, was the weaker part of our experience. The staff seemed somewhat disoriented at times and didn't always seem to understand or anticipate the needs of the guests. The interactions also felt a bit rehearsed or staged rather than genuinely warm and attentive, which took away from the otherwise inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, the food and ambiance were definitely the highlights, and the restaurant has a beautiful, romantic feel. With more attentive and authentic service and perhaps slightly more practical lighting at the tables, the experience could be much more polished.

I got the sesame noodles and 6 pc signature dumplings. Here's a tip - when you order to go they don't give you the sauces. You must get the sauces. I used the little cups and got all the sauces. The garlic sauce and hot sauce and you must use it. I swear it makes a huge difference. Also like any dumplings you must consume it right away. The restaurant was clean and open so even if it's casual it's a good place to eat with family/ friends. Since this is a a known Taiwanese franchise, all the other customers were Asian so that tells you it's legit! I'll definitely order again for lunch. Online order is the best, you can do it in their site and pick the time for pick up and it's ready. They have combo meals but my order wasn't a combo. I picked up and ate it there.

There seems to be a lot of new Asian, fast food style places popping up around town. I have never…read moreheard of Bafang Dumplings before and I just happened to see it driving by. The options seem similar to Chubby Dumpling and Tigawok. I ordered the #4 Combo, with the Signature Dumplings and the Signature Noodles. Both dishes were good. The Signature Noodles were nicely done and had some good flavor, I just wish that there was a protein option to add to it. The Signature Dumplings were fine. I've also tried the Spicy Wontons, which were small but tasty. The big sell here is the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, for $17.95. This is the only dish that's served in a big ceramic bowl, and not a to-go container. It also comes with a proper Ramen soup spoon. This is a meal on it's own. Filled with broth, noodles, chunks of tender, but fatty beef, daikon radishes and bok choy. The dish is good for the price, but the broth was a bit underwhelming for my taste. Fortunately, they have plenty of condiments to add more spice and heat. Over all, Bafang Dumpling was better than expected.

Ordered the Daichan special with option of chicken or beef teriyaki and I chose chicken. Special comes with shrimp and vegetable tempura and a croquet. Food was cooked very well but my favorite was easily the tempura. Such light breading and cooked to perfection. Next time I will order a whole side of this alone. 10/10 will come back again. Perfect for a light lunch or a bigger dinner!

Two of the female employees approached me about my tip and hovered over me, pressuring me to change the amount. It was a small restaurant, so this created a very uncomfortable scene and made me feel extremely pressured and embarrassed. A tip is optional and should never be something a customer is confronted or pressured about. After this experience, I have absolutely no desire to return. Honestly, they were lucky I left a tip at all. Very disappointing experience, especially considering this was only my second visit. I will not be coming back.
