I was watching a TV show when they showed a seafood boil, and that instantly triggered a craving...next thing I knew, I wanted Kickin Kajun. Of course, I couldn't just think about myself, so I ran it by my partner and he was on board. When we got there, we originally planned to order the combo for two, but we decided to go big or go home and got the platter that serves 3-4 people. Everything was amazing. I tried to save carbs for last, but the rice soaked in the Dungeness crab sauce really hit the spot. I almost tapped out lol, my head nearly fell onto the table...so we boxed the rest up and I'll be enjoying it all over again tomorrow. Great deal, amazing food, and top-tier service. Best staff ever! ;)

So good. We usually get the snow crab boil, and it's heavenly, but I never finish, and we wanted to try the catfish, which turned out to be amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seated. One of my favorite places to get a seafood boil.

Out of this world customer service! My husband and I enjoyed a dinner here to celebrate our 13th Wedding Anniversary. Many of the other patrons looked like they were also on dates or celebrating special occasions. There is a paid parking lot with an attendant adjacent to the restaurant or you can park in a metered stall along the street. We paid $1 to park in the lot during dinner. This restaurant is ADA accessible. We brought a gift card with us our sister had given to us as a gift for a birthday. Unfortunately when they scanned it to pay, it was not working. However the staff were so kind and went above and beyond calling the gift card company the next day to get to the bottom of why it was not working. We would like to thank all of the staff for your assistance, especially Jenny, and for making us feel like valued customers. In the end they found the problem and issued us a new gift card. We will be glad to return for our next special occasion and use the gift card then.

We are on a mission.... To try some new spots our daughter loves. She just graduated from HPU this week getting her Bachelor's in Psychology. And she wants to make sure we try all the spots she has eaten at the last three years Well, I have to say, the chef did his thing in that kitchen. As a chef myself I take my hat off to you sir! Job well down! Not many can handle the "Kajun" flavors. This was a good spot for the first stop this week! All I can say is there shrimp, mussels, catfish, crabs, rice etc,.etc. etc. it was all good! We will be back if she decides to stay for her Masters program. Ooooh one last thing! The fried Oreos were on beast mode! one order had four and ice cream with whipped cream! BOOM if you're on a diet don't even think about it! Certainly on point! Pray, Eat and Love because life is way too short! M&M

First time to this location on Keaaumoku. It's definitely a great feeling to know that the quality of the food and service is excellent and consistent with the location in Kapolei. We enjoyed our food and the service was awesome.

We made a reservation for our party of 4 on Thanksgiving Day for 6:30 PM. Once we got to the restaurant, we were able to be seated promptly and I was really glad that we called ahead because all of the tables were filled! We took a few minutes to decide what we wanted and our waiter was so friendly and answered any questions we had. After we placed our order, our food came out within 10 minutes. - Snow Crab Legs Combo (5/5): We got this combo with the Signature Kickin' Sauce with mild spice because I was worried it would be too spicy. However, it wasn't as spicy as I thought, so if we pay a visit next time, I'll opt in for the medium spice level. The snow crab legs were cooked to perfection and so were the shrimps, clams, and mussels. This combo also came with 2 rice bowls, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of corn, and 2 potatoes. - Garlic Fries (5/5): Very yummy and garlicky. The fries were nice and crispy. A perfect addition to our seafood combo. The price was really worth it for the amount of seafood we got; the combo was $77 and the fries were $10. Service was great and the waiters were very attentive, constantly coming by to check on us and to see if we needed more water. Thank you Kickin Kajun!

This is our favorite seafood boil place. The service is always on point and the food comes out quick. We always order the snow crab combo, no mussels sub extra shrimp with their medium spice signature sauce. It always hits the spot. The restaurant has a ton of seating and they have a full bar. They can get really busy but you can check in to the waiting list on yelp so I highly recommend doing that.

Favorable, tasty, and fresh, especially the Kauai prawns($4.00 extra for upgrade) package for two.

Favorable, tasty, and fresh, especially the Kauai prawns($4.00 extra for upgrade). The combination package with king crab for two. A little disappointed with the size of the king crab legs. They were just a I little bigger than the size of snow crab legs; in fact, I have eaten snow crab legs that are larger. Overall, pretty good experience to enjoy uniquely flavored (with their special sauce) seafood combination.

Parking is easy with 1h free for validation. My friend and I came here on a weekday evening to order takeout. There's a specific takeout door they had, but we didn't see it and they still let us order inside. It only takes about 10mins for takeout to be ready. We ordered 2lbs of Louisiana Crawfish, 1lb of Local Maui Shrimp, Sweet Corn, Red Potato, and Sausages with Medium & Spicy Signature Kickin' Sauce. The sauce was so good and not overly salty! Medium tastes like mild! Corn is $3 for one piece, but it's so worth it cause it's so sweet and delicious! I do think it's funny that they would charge $1 for lemons for takeout, but if you dine in, it's free.

Love this place! The crab is always cooked well and the Cajun sauce is amazing. The service is also great. They're usually quick and always friendly. I think the only downside to this place is the parking. The lot is often full and you have to get lucky to get close street parking. But it's worth heading here!

Love their lunch special. For 13.99$, you get a whole meal. It's delicious, and the food comes out pretty fast.

    Kristina C.

All I have to say is mhm.. how do you make seafood boil taste flavorless? I'm not sure if they aren't tossing it enough or them being really stingy with the sauce? But the seafood boil tasted bland and flavorless. We ordered the 6-pound seafood boil and it was not worth it. Also, considering that it tasted like nothing was even sadder. With that being said, I will not be coming back here. The service was okay, the food wasn't good, and honestly for the price of what you're getting kind of sucks. I'd suggest going to boiling crab!!

After debating on how far I wanted to drive I chose this location over the Kapolei. I pulled into parking lot which was small and didn't have a lot of spaces. Maybe 20 - 30 slots at the most. You will have to pay for parking unless you get your ticket validated at restaurant. There is no bathroom inside the restaurant it's only outside in the complex. The bathroom is the worst public bathroom I have seen. The restaurant does have a hand washing station inside so you do have to use the bathroom for that. The customer service was amazing. I saw the waitress cracking crabs for customers. Which I have never seen or even knew you could ask for that. The food came out it steaming hot and good. The Coca Cola was flat. There is no bar here so no cocktail drinks, just beer. I will not be returning due to the bathroom alone.

It ended up being one of the best seafood boils I've had! I feel like other places I've tried have been lacking in flavor, and the quality has slowly been going downhill. This restaurant is right across the street from the Royal Hawaiian Center...which is where we parked. They're on the second floor up the escalators across from the Royal Hawaiian Center Starbucks. It's a little weird they don't open until noon on a weekday. I would have thought 11 but noon it is. They opened promptly at noon. There was really only a single employee tending to the host stand and the entire dining room. She was very efficient and helpful but I think they could have used more help out front. We knew what we wanted to order and told her two of the happy hour snow crab leg combos. She quickly told us that they were only enough food for one person each...which...when we re-read the menu...seemed disingenuous. These combos have a lot of food and to say only a single person can enjoy one is not honest. We also ordered two appetizers (mozzarella sticks and calamari) for four people (2 adults and 2 kids). The appetizers came out fast. The mozzarella sticks are good and i was surprised how many pieces are in the order. I'd recommend for sure. Cheese pull galore. The calamari included French fries as well. You could almost eat it as a meal. Maybe it was a meal? We got it with sweet potato fries. Not the best calamari I've had, but not the worst. Generous portion of calamari and fries at least...but the calamari lacked flavor. The seafood boils came out right as we were eating the appetizers. Very fast. They bring them in a big plastic bag which is standard issue for seafood boil. They also set you up with a rubbish bag for each boil bag. They open the boil bag for you and spread everything out for you to view and share. They provide bibs, gloves and scissors with shell cracker built in. The snow crab happy hour bags we got were I think $75 each and included one whole rack of snow crab legs including the body (4 legs). This also included several pieces of clams, mussels, shrimp (we did the peeled which i highly recommend compared to the head on - head on are a mess to deal with especially when piping hot), sausage, potato and corn and white rice. It was a lot of food. I say it's the perfect amount to share between 2 people especially if you have an appetizer. We got 2 for 4 of us and we ate most of it! Very little went to waste. We found ourselves cleaning up after ourselves partly because we both are just like that but also you could tell the waitress was busy with 6 tables. We tipped generously as she did take care of us, though she didn't stop by too much after our food was brought out. The spot itself is in a nice area and i like how they have a little sink area where you can wash up after handling a lot of seafood (the gloves tend to let some liquid through). They usually tend to have sports on the TVs they have. They also serve a variety of beers. Highly recommend if you have never tried. For me, it's one of the best seafood boil places in Hawaii. Good quality stuff!!!

We both got the Mac daddy bowl and we split an order of the fish and fries with some corn bread. Every single dish was excellent and flavorful. The lemonade was perfect; it was very sour and just sweet enough without being cloying. I didn't think I would have room for dessert but the banana pudding was worth the calories. You can tell it was made from scratch with fresh fruit and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly. The owner is very nice and professional. There was a woman who worked there as well. She was very outgoing and friendly and talked up the other two people in the restaurant about their vacation. The ambiance is very laid back. There's a TV on the wall and they played 90s R&B (which I grew up listening to). The building is clearly an old auto garage or something based on the tool-centric decor on the gate and it does seem odd for a restaurant to have that but it's not uncool or uninviting, Highly recommended to anyone with taste buds. I didn't take pictures because I was too busy eating.
