Today 5/22/15 i arrived at 9:12 pm the app said they close at 10 pm we enter to the location and also the hrs were posted at the door. The employees ignore us the guy saw us and walked to the kitchen with a hand in his forehead. the place was extremely dirty. All tables were occupied by dirty dishes and empty plates. The guy and girl just stared at us like we were not welcomed. They never greeted us. I work around the area and I will never buy or order anything from this place again. I do not recommend this location to no body. If they care about giving a good customer service and provide good food they would keep place clean even if they about to close. If the front was like that i wonder how was the kitchen. ( my only star don't count I wish it will be none. ) Ps. It's my second time at Kiki's and wanted to come back and write a better review of this place. Just had lunch at Kiki's and is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the DFW area (I'm Mexican) Both, first and second time here have been a great experience. Misael was our server the first time and this time was Mayra. Both servers are great, always very attentive to their customers and always very happy. The food is delicious. My husband and I came here Friday night, I have to admit I was a little afraid. It was 7pm and there was only one other couple there. As we ordered we spoke to the owner briefly, he said they have only been open for 2 &1/2 months so that would explain why it was dead, right? At least I hope so :\ We ordered the shrimp cocktail to start, holy cow! Other Yelpers were RIGHT! it was truly "authentic"! Shrimp was fresh, the consistency was thin and the flavors were right. This place LOVES to spice it up! The jalapeños in the cocktail were a little much for me. But thats ok, i enjoyed it anyways. For my meal I had the Enchiladas Mexicana, it was very good, the chicken was moist and flavorful. You have a choice of red or green sauce, I chose green. Man was it spicy!!! If you are a wimp with spicy foods, you might want to try the red sauce but. It comes with rice and beans, rice was good, cooked right, very flavorful. The Borracho beans were So good, I think I could make a meal out them alone! My husband had the combo quesadillas, he said they were probably some of the best he has ever had! Overall, it is very good food, just be careful with the spicy stuff. If you live in Rowlett or near by, go check it out! It is nice to have some Authentic Mexican food in town.. read more

Stopped in today with my family and tried it out. Very friendly people. Nice place. Very clean! We ordered different meals to try everything out. Salsa was awesome!!! We ordered chicken enchiladas, chicken fajitas, kids meal(chicken tenders) and chile relleno(cheese). Rice and beans and charro beans were awesome. The chicken enchiladas were missing something and im not sure if its just bc Im used to them having sour cream. But they were okay. The fajitas were good. Homeade flour tortillas are a plus. My husband LOVED the chile relleno. The kids meal was good as well. The music has to go. Banda music is anoying. But thats just me. Lol maybe try some Tejano music? ;) Overall good experience. I've tried this place a a couple times. It's nice but not outstanding. Service is good. I had the mole chicken enchiladas. This is one of the few places I had found with mole, which is one of my favourite dishes and a sign of an authentic Mexican restaurant. It is in the strip mall here in Rowlett by the Aldi and such; if I had a suggestion it would be to move locations cuz it's not appealing but I tried it once when I was pregnant and stuffed my face everything was so good, I went back to see if it was just the pregnancy hormones but it wasn't. We have only had take out from here, but it is good. The stuffed jalapeños are delicious. They are filled with moist chicken and taste great! Their tortilla soup is really good too. I had guests over and didn't feel up to cooking. So I ordered from this restaurant via DoorDash. After opening up the delivery order. I have to say that I was pretty embarrassed. As we ate our way through the chips, salsa, queso, miguelito burrito, etc. I once again....was moving textures around in my mouth. The food was absolutely disguisting! I can definitely see myself becoming a regular at Kiki's! I am pretty picky when it comes to Spanish/Mexican food, and in my opinion, Kiki's is no joke. The chips and salsa were good, although the salsa could have a bit more of a kick to it (maybe I just had a milder batch, you could tell it was homemade). For my entree, I had the chicken flautas, and they were really yummy! Although, i thought that they too may have been missing a sort of kick, seemed a bit bland with just salty chicken in a crunchy fried tortilla. However, the sides of refried beans and Spanish rice were great! Their rice had just the right crunch and tomato-y flavor. The boyfriend had beef fajitas, which were served with the same rice, yummy, rich borracha beans, and great homemade flour tortillas. He really seemed to like his, and I did as well. Do not come here unless you're on the verge of dying from starvation.. the lady is very slow didn't get anything we ordered right. And didn't even give us napkins. Went to KiKi's in Rowlett a few weeks backI have to say I was down right impressed with the food and the people it was great, very nice people it's a mom and pop restaurant and it's just got darn good food its in the old lication of Berger extreme but it's been cleaned up and fereshend up. So my Daughter and I split the Fajitas and they where great lots to eat had some left over evan. MY wife got the chimichonga and it was very good had lots of filling with rice and beans on the side My other daughter got the Chiken Cascades and she said it was very good but I didn't get to try it so yea guess it was pretty good :) All in all a good mom and pop resturant and a way to stay out of the big box cookie cutter places. read more

Very good food and friendly service. Simple decor, nothing fancy, but I'm always satisfied with my experience. Some favorites are the tortilla soup and fried avocados. They've recently added more vegetarian options to the menu -- ask about the cilantro-lime rice (arroz blanco) if you are looking for a meatless side. The only thing I would change is that the only diet soda they have is Diet Pepsi (ew!). They've also started serving brunch on weekends. I haven't tried that yet but hope to soon. read more

My only issue was my uber ears order was delivered with no pork tamales and another half s dozen missing. Kiki's has some of my favorite street tacos ever. The al pastor is fantastic. I've gotten them delivered on uber eats many times even though I have never been physically been there. Every time has been great! I've gotten their tamales fresh twice too and they were fresh and tender, none of that dried out old stuff I've had from other places. Came here while visiting family off a recommendation. Very authentic Mexican food that satisfied our cravings for Mex-Mex after living in Georgia for years. Just ate here for the first time, ordered over the phone with Gavin and had the food delivered. Let me start off by saying, Gavin was super polite, patient, and clear. He took the time to take very specific instruction, and he got my order absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, especially the salsa (which i am picky about). I was skeptical about the queso when I saw it, but it was phenomenal. My order seriously on took 15 mins ro get to my house too!!! Thank you Gavin, and cooks at KIKI'S for making this a memorable experience. I will be back next Saturday for my free margarita, if I can wait til then! read more

Ate lunch here based on reviews. There was way to much SALT in everything we tried. The queso was made with what tasted like processed cheese sauce not real cheese. The tortilla soup was hearty with chicken and veggies but again to heavy on salt. Chile Relleno was fried in old grease which lead to an odd taste. The BEST thing we ate was the very fresh tortillas. So we will not be eating here again. Feel like I need a diuretic to pull off the excessive fluid retention this meal will cause. read more

Two stars because the food isn't good. Waitress was sweet but didn't know what was in anything. She kept having to go to the back to get answers for simple things. We ordered three tacos at .99 each. One was incorrect so the waitress brought me the correct taco. The tacos were not good at all. The chips and salsa were better. When it was time to pay they charged me for four tacos. I explained what happened but they kept saying they had removed the cost of the one taco. We went back-and-forth about a few times with me and explaining that three times $.99 was $2.97 but they were charging me $3.98. Finally the cook/manager came from the back, looked at my ticket and said "we're charging you $3.98 because you ordered four tacos". I could not believe I had to explain again that I had only ordered three tacos not four! He looks at me, grabs a dollar out of the register, handed it to me and walked away without a word or apology forTHEIR error. I still left the nice too because the waitress was sweet but slow.
