This place is a classic Michigan staple. If you have never been to the area or experienced a Kilwins, this is a must do while you are here. It always smells amazing and the staff is super friendly, eager to give you samples. This location is small, but primarily just for ice cream. I love the cake batter flavor since it is chocolate and vanilla and not the blue icing variety (although I do like that one too). They gave us a double kid's scoop in a waffle cone. It is a bit pricey, a bit pricier than other shops, but Kilwins is always an icon Michigan dessert spot.

Stayed in town for a week and stopped by Kilwins 2x. It was soooo good. Had a small Sunday the first time with super creamy ice cream and rich chocolate sauce. Second time had a blueberry single scoop cone. Delicious!

It's funny because I tend to go to Kilwin's more when I'm out of town, say in a vacation town like Saugatuck, then I do to the location in my own town. But whenever we go here I always ask myself, "why aren't we here more often??" The ice cream is delicious. The location is great. They're open late in the spring and summer months, and the small bits of seating outside make a lovely place to enjoy your cone on a nice summer evening. And the line is always much shorter than the other ice cream place down the street (which I also love but am always daunted by the line). I've never made a candy purchase at their candy shop next door but for ice cream? This place is solid.

Kilwins is by far the most average-ly solid ice cream place I've been to in awhile. Its homely, factory aesthetic provides a nice atmosphere to enjoy ice cream in and the workers were all fairly friendly and didn't mind some small talk while getting ice cream. Mind you, I also came at a very unbusy time. In terms of seating, I counted a total of 10 seats within the parlor which isn't necessarily a bad thing because most people walk and eat ice cream. However this place certainly would be hard to visit with a medium sized group of people since the area of the parlor is also fairly small. Also they have a waffle making station at the windows of the ice cream parlor which felt really out of place and awkward. The worker there wasn't super friendly and I just felt like I want intruding on her work. My friend and I got the Heaven's Hash with some waffle cone pieces in it and it was fairly good! The ice cream itself was a nice rich and creamy texture. I thought the flavor could have been more present but it was still there. The waffle pieces really added a necessary crunch that spiced up the ice cream because the flavor really wasn't pulling the effort. In conclusion, this was fairly good! I saw nothing wrong, except for a slightly lack of flavor and slightly expensive ice cream.

It's a great little spot tucked off the high end restaurants off Main Street. I stopped in after dinner and drinks with a sweet tooth that was screaming for ice cream. Besides only Kilwins can satisfy me when it's desert time. The place is very clean and very warm and inviting. A reminder of mom and grandmas house during the holidays. Always baking Christmas goodies for family and friends and filling the air with comforting smells. The service was spectacular and she had me try the salted caramel ice cream and it was heavenly in every way. I had my usual mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone and relaxed inside while I slowly favored every lick And bite of the savory waffle cone. I would recommend this gem of a business to anyone that likes ice cream and many selections of quality sweets. I promise you'll be completely satisfied.

The staff was amazing, the food was delicious and the prices were outstanding for the overall experience. But the above and beyond came from one of their employees, Alicia, who was kind enough to offer to drive us back to our cars because it had started pouring rain! (We had parked several blocks away because town was busy because of the Milford sidewalk sale) That level of customer care is rare, and was much appreciated!

Chicken was perfection! The perfect amount of batter, chicken was so tender and juicy! I'm not a huge fan of gravy so getting it on the side was perfect for me. My mom got the bourbon maple salmon and the woman ate the whole thing!! She's a leftovers lover, so her finishing her plate is very unlike her!! My friend go the best dish, in my opinion. He got the walleye and fries!! It's HUGE, delicious and fresh!! The tartar sauce is also a hit, something I find is always a hit or miss at restaurants!! We were celebrating a birthday so got the peach cobbler. So yummy!! The only thing I'd change is instead of whipped cream serve with ice cream!! 10/10 would recommend!! Live music on Tuesdays is also a great add on!! Our 20 month old loved the music!

The place is conveniently located on Saginaw HWY along with a lot of other eateries. There is lots of parking. The restaurant has some mileage to it as it is a bit dated, but I liked it. We enjoyed the big booths and large table. Lucky it was large because we ordered more than a few things. To start, we ordered the onion rings and the fried cheese for our appetizers. They were both quite good, but my favorite was the onion rings fried to perfection. Light and crunchy and just a great bite. We also ordered what Cheddars calls the painkiller. It is a large tasty drink that is sort of a combination of a piña colada Meets a Mai Thai. The meals included the Key West chicken and it comes with rice and two sides. It has a kick to it and it's really flavorful and tender. We also ordered the sirloin and the hand breaded chicken tenders. Both were quite delicious and I love the crunch on the chicken tenders. The sides were also really nice and they included the sweet carrots and the broccoli cheese casserole along with crispy fries. This was quite a meal and it filled us up in a very happy way. We ate up and we left very happy and full with the idea of returning here soon. I don't live around here but when I visit this area, I will definitely stop here again.

Floors everywhere were extremely dirty, bathrooms dirty, and when I peaked inside the kitchen (while walking by) so filthy (to be honest, we considered leaving before even ordering anything!). HOSTESS & SERVER: The hostesses were fine, not rude but not friendly either. Our server (male with dark hair) was very nice, he at times gave off a vibe of being new. The service is still very SLOW, so plan to be sitting awhile waiting to order, get food, etc. FOOD: This is what we ordered.... Cheddars Trio Sampler -- 3 Choices were: Chicken Tenders, Wisconsin Cheese Bites, and Queso Fries. Taste: Chicken tenders were good, cheese bites were very good (greasy though), queso fries were alright. Size: average. Price: $12.49 Cheddars Trio Sampler -- 3 Choices were: Chicken Tenders, Chips & Queso w/meat, and Queso Fries. Taste: Chicken tenders were good, chips were good, queso with meat was fine, queso fries were alright. Size: average. Price: $12.49 Monte Cristo -- Taste: it was alright but found it was too sweet and got sickening to eat after the first piece. Size: average. Price: $11.99 Baby Back Ribs -- Taste: very dry. Overall flavor was alright but we had a hard time getting past how dry and tough they were. Greens beans were not very good. Mashed potatoes were good. Size: average. Price: $16.49 OVERALL THOUGHTS: Server was very kind but service in general is slow. Cleanliness has definitely been lacking and I honestly would hate to see what happens in the kitchen!! WOULD I RETURN? Probably not, mostly due to the state of cleanliness the whole establishment was in.
