One word: Horrific! My friends and I wanted to go for a foot message so we made an appointment at this place. The person who answered the call said there was availability and told us to come. I didn't even get a chance to leave my name and the person hanged up. Hmm, that's weird... When we arrived, we found this place to be small and packed with people. One of the massage therapists(or manager) told us to wait a few minutes so we sat on an empty bench. When there were a few chairs opened, the manager told us to sit on the chairs. However, he didn't even change the towels where we are supposed to rest our feet. Totally gross! They brought out a bucket of blue water for each of us to soak our feet in. However, the water was a bit cold. One of the massage therapists started to give a foot massage to one of my friends while the rest of us waited. The manager was my massage therapist and he started to give me a foot message. After 30 seconds, he ran away to talk to another massage therapist. After a few minutes later, he came back and started the massage again. Then, more people came into the massage place and ran away to take care of the new customers. WTH? During this whole time, people were walking in and out of the massage place asking if there was availability for a foot massage or queuing up to pay for their service. He constantly jumped around to collect the money at the cashier's desk or bringing in new customers and taking them to the basement. Then, he came back and continued my massage. Did he even wash his hands? He tells me that my service is free and i'm done. I was totally pissed. He hardly kneaded my foot for more than 2 minutes over a 30 minute period! Then, he jumps over to one of my friends and starts to massage my friend. Again, after 30 seconds, he leaves my friend and switches to another customer to start her foot massage. What the....??? So unprofessional! We were so pissed that we just decided to leave. The manager kept on apologizing and said that it was free for all of us. Even if he invited us for a free future foot massage, I would never come back! I wished I could give 0 stars! read more

Got a 1 hour full body massage. The guy I got used great pressure but he massaged me through a towel the whole Time! And he just pressed down. Probably the worse massage I ever got. He asked if I wanted oil and I said a little but he never used it. Literally waited the whole time for him to take off the towel to start the real massage but it never happened. Very disappointed. read more

Exhausted from walking all day in the city, I walked in for a 1 hour massage. Even though they're quite busy, the owner was very accommodating and just asked me to wait briefly. 1 hr later I feel amazing. They're tucked in a less busy street in Chinatown but would definitely recommend this to my friends as they're clean and very attentive! read more

Masseuse had zero English. She couldn't even understand me asking her name. Upper body massage was very good except when she walked on me it was too heavy. I've never had that problem before. Leg massage was very weird. She had me lie on my back and shift my legs to the side. My genitals were partially exposed. She repeatedly massaged the top of my thigh. I got the feeling that she was wanting me to indicate that I wanted her to jerk me off. read more

So, I've been here a few times cause the reviews are generally good. I usually get the foot massage, cause I believe they can't go terribly wrong. And to be fair the foot massages have been above average even if there was sometimes miscommunication. The confusing part is I can speak Chinese, but sometimes the masseuses and management don't seem to be in sync, so there is a lot of confusion about what service I want and for how long. Today, I thought I would take a gamble and go for a full body massage and to my dismay it was terrible. From the get-go the room was a mess. A towel was sloppily thrown onto the massage bed and the disposable sheet was tattered and looked like it had been used. I told the masseuse and she assured me it was new. But, when I was about to lay down I saw old oil stains and so did she. But instead of immediately changing the sheet, she tried gaslighting me and told me I tattered the sheet by laying down on it. I was like WTF, "no it was already like this when I entered the room". She changed the sheet but not the towel. We get on the massage but it was terrible. It felt lazy and there was very little technique. She spend 5-10 wandering in and out of the room and then tried upselling me on cupping and scraping, which I turned down. Then she started acting creepy and started talking to me about my skin tone and my tan line . 45 minutes into the massage, she said she was running out of strength cause I had too much tension, so for the rest of the 15 minutes, she basically just moving her hands on my body, which kind of just felt creepy. When she got to my neck her nails were scraping my skin and I had to tell her to stop because it became really uncomfortable. Anywho, even though I had some previous good experiences at Kimberly for foot massages, this body massage was so terrible, it really overshadowed the other experiences. I told the manager at the front desk, but he sorta placed the blame on me, like I should have known to tell them prior I wanted someone stronger or I should have switched people in between my massage. I dunno dude. I would imagine that there should be at least some standard of quality and skill with the masseuses. With all this said, I will go to other Chinese massage parlours. I was really sad when then one I liked going to closed during the pandemic, which is why i sought out Kimberly's. I'm still dedicated to supporting Chinatown businesses, just not this one. read more

aright one of the worst massage places I've ever been. My bf and I did foot massage and back massage. They didn't even ask do we prefer guy or girl doing our individual back massage. For back massage, the girl asked me to undress and she never put the blanket over my legs. Her skills were terrible... I've no idea what she was doing. Foot massage was even worse. The guy pressed really hard on the side of my foot and I said plz use less strength and then the rest of the massage was just rubbing my feet instead of a relaxing massage. The place was a bit damp and overcrowded. They put 8 chairs in a tiny room so that's 16 ppl in a room for foot massage. It is cheap. It's true. But what a waste of time. The one i did the weekend before at another place was $75 for a full hour full body massage and it was amazing. Will never go back. read more

Good massage. I did a body and foot massage for an hour. I felt very relaxed afterwards. The music was soothing and they had separate rooms and rooms for couples with a curtain to separate the beds. There's a room when you enter for foot massages and there's many chairs available. Would recommend. read more

**AVOID AT ALL COSTS** Really not understanding why there are so many good reviews on this place. The business owner is sketchy, a scammer, and gaslights people. I had previously booked a massage for a party of four over the phone for a specified time. I specifically requested female masseuses. The owner stated that it would not be a problem. Upon arrival, he quickly ushered us all into separate rooms. Only one female masseuse was present and quickly started working on my cousin while the 3 of us were waiting over 15 minutes naked in our own rooms. I went out to ask the owner when the female workers would arrive and he said the other female workers were on the way. Half an hour later, we were sketched out by this and no longer wanted a massage. The owner was all of a sudden furious and verbally abusive. Own of his workers had to even intervene and calm him down. My cousin (who had the only female masseuse in the shop start working on her already) said she would meet us after. She later told me that the female worker made a sexual joke to the owner about seeing my cousin naked. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I wish I could give this place zero stars. read more

I've been going here religiously for 4 years. This is by far the best massage spot in Chinatown and nyc. The staff accommodates groups, they always fit us in and the prices are good. The hour long foot rub is the best, but they do excellent body work too. We adore coming here and will continue to do so!!! read more

Came here with a party of two for foot massages and back massages. We were sat right away and revived immediate service. The massages were fantastic - as most reviewers, we also had walked miles (over 10 the day before) and were feeling sore and achy. This was the antidote to that. Was very resonantly priced and they clearly knew what they were doing. We didn't get cupping, but that's a service they offer, so if you're interested that's something to look into. My spot for a massage is when I'm in Chinatown as I found this location through Yelp. NOTE : Writing a review will earn you 10 minute of extra with your massage. I personally didn't get or ask the 10 minutes extra I normally got to Coco in Flushing(Flushing prices $30/full body per hour and $20/foot massage per hour) for a massage but it's hard to find time so Kimberly is the alternative. Even though it is not a big place here but the services is quick. I try not to come here on weekends on the "Perk" times. I did enjoy my massage the few times I have been here. The music is not always yoga music calm but still not crazy annoying I was told by the massager that hey have a reward system which you can enter your phone number and get points, I think it was buy 10 get 1 free (if I am not remembering wrong) also on your birthday you get a free massage. Usual Chinatown prices : $35/full body per hour(or you can mix half an hour for body,half an hour for foot) and $20/foot massage per hour I don't have anyone specific I go to but I have not had any problem with anyone here as of yet. ANOTHER NOTE: Most of the massagers only speaks very basic English so sometimes they might not understand you, as it has been a problem for me sometimes. read more

Favorite spa in the city - no frills and now $40 an hour for body! I brought 10 girls last time and they all really enjoyed it. I've visited here for 3+ years when they were at the old location. Attention! I don't know why I never establish up front exactly what I want. I guess maybe because it's a cheap Asian place. I'm not trying to knock Asian massage joints, but it is what it is! Basically, I came in for a nice long foot massage ($30) but for whatever reason when I walk in, the boss dude was like, "body massage?" I say, yes, then follow the therapist to a room. It was mostly back massage (not foot) which I didn't really want at all but I just went with it. I find it hard to speak up when I'm already being massaged and it's like I don't want to break their workflow. That said, let this be a lesson to anyone, talk about exactly what you want and the price before the session! At any rate, this place is highly rated on Yelp which is why I found my way here. It's relatively clean (for what you could see in the dimly lit room) and it seemed pretty professional. The prices are obviously great, why else would you be here? Don't be a cheap tipper to these hustling Chinese people! Pro-tip: If you're paranoid about something stealing your valuables, put it under the table where you can see it through the hole your face is sitting in (when you're facing down). We decided to try a new place from where we normally go. I had high hopes due to the review and when we walked in it was packed to the brim with people in foot massage chairs. We asked for an hour massage and half hour facial. Massage: the massage was very disappointing, not the best but not the worst. They were in and out and looking at my watch and the clock on the wall it definitely wasn't an hour at all. The guy was very unsure and kept asking me if I was okay, he seemed very uncertain which made me feel weird. His pressure was great and deep, no complaints on that. He even said I only need 30 minutes after I told him an hour. Again looked at the clock and the time didn't make sense. Facial: the facial was 30 minutes, and absolutely wonderful. No complaints here and would recommend completely. read more

Came here on a whim with my friend after a long weekend and had one of the best massages ever! Super professional premise located right across the police station. Started at 4pm and had a legit 1 hour massage. You're required to strip down to your undies but your massage is given through the towel. My masseuse, David, was super professional and unknotted all the tensions I had in my body, especially after all the weight training and long runs I do. Loved every minute of it and the cherry on top of the cake was that they even used hot stones! Check into yelp for a free 15 minute foot massage. The owner is super friendly ! Would recommend :)! read more

It has been a challenge finding a place to go to after Health Trail closed down. I've been to many others ever since and today I found Yuan Shi and they are what I've been searching for. I now have bad knees and back pains. I came in on a Sunday and got an hour of the Chinese full body Tui Na. Michael was my masseuse and little dude is strong. He was able to pinpoint all my pain areas and proceeded to roll, press, stretch and kneed it to death. The more squirming I did and wincing from pain, the harder he went. I wanted to stop showing my pain just so he would stop sometimes. But as the guy at Health Trail said, "No pain, No gain". The timer went off after and hour and he continued working my back for another 5 minutes. I really appreciated it, as he knew I was in need of this session. 1 hour was $50, and I tipped $20. He really earned every dollar. Im sore from the bruising but my back pains are relieved right now. I'm considering buying the certificate. 10 sessions for $500 upfront and comes with 3 free massages. This seems really worth it in my opinion. I'm definitely coming back again.

But it WORKED. I walked out of there feeling renewed. Or balanced. This is serious bodywork from expert and well-trained practitioners, at great prices. Which means that you can give a bigger tip :) They do charge a fee if you use a credit card.

This one called for a yelp review. Called around noon on Valentine's Day to schedule 2, 4pm, 1hr body bodywork massages. This was honored, me and my friend were excited because we also found on their site coupons for an extra 15 minutes of massage. Wins all round, 35/hr - how can we beat that? When I got there, the manager had us bartering for 30 minutes body and 30 minutes foot massage packages. This back and forth ensued over lounge chairs of dismayed people waiting for treatments and getting their feet rubbed. One tired girl sided, that it had happened to her too. We showed him the coupons, he then was like okay 45 minute body and 30 minute foot. At this point we wanted to leave, but he finally honored my friend with a 1 hr massage and me a 45 minute body, and would give me 15 minute foot. More couples were arriving with the same issue - scheduling for one thing and getting told they could offer you another service in real time. And mind you, the space was packed with arriving upset/confused people and blankly-staring patrons, who after being beat-down in negotiations, all in a carpeted living room set-up, where being submitted with peculiar foot dips. The mood was very "try your best not to look at another person's feet" & "act like you're relaxing". The commotion didn't stop in the bodywork rooms. There were only make-shift divider walls providing barely any privacy, so I could hear throughout my session people entering and receiving backhanded service, the manager arguing and masseuse's talking between rooms. When I was in the middle of changing before my session, the manager sprung open my curtain and shouted 45 minutes! I screamed back in naked horror, and demanded that I should at least get the complete hour after getting walked in on so rudely. The girl sided with me and gave me the full hour. Tried my best to concentrate on faint traditional Chinese music. At least the massage was on point! Got hot stones, and very good attention onto my whole back. I then got funneled into the main room again where I received a 15 minute foot massage, while the manager confronted unknowing couples. I couldn't stop laughing. Couples we came in with were being shuttled out. My friend came out and apparently during her's the manager walked in mid-massage with her complete body hanging out and she had to barter for more time with him in this compromised form. One couple was curious why they had received 5 stars on yelp - and we started to notice large signs everywhere that said if you wrote them a positive comment on yelp that you'd receive 15 extra free minutes for a variety of services. I recently visited Kimberly Spa, a place I've frequented for five years, but my recent experiences there have left much to be desired, pushing me to reconsider my patronage. During my last appointment, I opted for an hour-long massage and a cupping session, which was priced at $55 for the massage and an additional $20 for cupping. Unfortunately, the visit was marred by several unsettling incidents that have become a pattern at this establishment. The masseuse, Cici, exhibited highly unprofessional behavior right from the start by pressuring me into elective services without clear communication about their costs. This lack of transparency was followed by her disengagement during the session; she spent considerable time texting, with her phone audibly vibrating beside my ear, which was incredibly distracting and detracted from the relaxing atmosphere you expect in such settings. Moreover, the service itself was below par. Cici's attempt at cleaning my ears involved merely tickling them with a feather and blowing compressed air, which felt odd and unnecessary. More disturbingly, there were several instances where her touch uncomfortably grazed my private areas, adding to an overall feeling of discomfort rather than relaxation. The cupping session was equally disappointing. It was hastily done, focusing only on the back and completely neglecting the front of my body, contrary to previous experiences which were more thorough. The treatment room itself was in a deplorable state, strewn with the masseuse's used socks and other signs of poor hygiene that one simply cannot overlook. Upon concluding the session, the financial aspects were just as frustrating. I was unexpectedly upcharged by $45 and coerced into tipping beyond what I felt was reasonable, amidst the audible snickers of other staff members. This pressure to tip, regardless of the service quality, has been consistent over my last few visits. Previously, I overlooked certain mishaps like an unfortunate incident where a masseuse farted near my face during a session, hoping these were isolated cases. However, these recurring issues highlight a stark decline in the quality and professionalism at Kimberly Spa. It seems the spa has become desperate, losing the essence of customer care and service. Given these experiences, I cannot justify returning to Kimberly Spa. For those looking for a serene and respectful spa experience, it appears there are numerous other venues that would better respect their clientele and maintain higher standards of service and cleanliness. read more

I often walk around china town looking for a place to get a massage, never really knowing where I'll end up. I like to try all different places. Tonight I found myself in front of Kimberly spa $40/1 hr body work and $30/1hr foot work, not bad I thought, I gave it a go! As I walked in I notice the set up, Simple and efficient. They have 8 chairs at the front for foot massages and about 6-7 rooms in the back for body work. I asked for 1 hour body massage as I was shown to a simple room with 1 bed and enough space to walk around the bed. I asked for a female and for strong hands as I work out a lot and really need to have someone get in there. I was given Helene. A very nice lady with good and strong hands. It was a lovely massage. She really got in there and found the sore spots to fix them. It started with a light towel on the back massage and after about 10-15 minutes she started in with the oil and it felt so nice! She checked on me multiple times to make sure I was comfortable and the pressure was okay. Loved it! At the end she used hot stones and when I flipped over onto my back I was given a lovely facial massage and head massage. She worked the whole hour and was very sweet. My visit to Kimberley Bay Spa in Chinatown, New York City, left much to be desired. I initially requested a bodywork session, which started off fine but quickly turned disappointing. The techniques used were very poor; it felt more like they were just rubbing oils and lotions into my body rather than giving an actual massage. I found myself just waiting for it to end, as it was far from the relaxing experience I was hoping for. I also tried a facial massage, which was better than the bodywork but still not enough to redeem the overall experience. The pricing was another issue. At $80, the services felt extremely overpriced for the quality received. Additionally, I encountered difficulties when it came to tipping. They started with a 20% tip suggestion and were quite rigid when I asked to customize it to 15% or 18%. This demanding approach was off-putting, and I felt pressured to pay the higher tip. I had the worst experience there. I went there had massage and the lady kept coughing while my back is naked having massage and she's not even wearing mask. And then the owner literally took my phone to take pictures and write down the comments by himself. I feel very uncomfortable and offended. I've never seen any store owner just took customers phone to write reviews, and obviously it happens to not only on me. And at the end I paid 15% tips, they won't let me go. Even at the end I paid 18% the lady still said something in chinese like "Is there anyone like you?" in a tone like look down on you. Very very rude. We were in New York for couple of days visiting friends. It is such a pleasant thing discovering Kimberly spa. Very busy inside, but not noisy the massage therapists are polite and quiet, they do not chat among each other. They offer a variety of services such as Chinese cupping hot stone and regular massages. I had a 90 minutes massage from Lily, she's in her 30-40s, very detailed massage with firm pressures. She looks very professional and her massage was definitely a match. The massage was thorough and a lot better than others Ive had in the city. Was definitively something to get after walking the Brooklyn Bridge. I use to live in New York City but now I'm in Albany. Every time I make a trip back to visit my parents I always try to come here. Fair prices for New York City standards and excellent techniques from the staff. I've been to several places in Albany but nowhere compares well enough to this place. The staff are all very nice and courteous but the most important part is the level of relaxation you'll get after a session. This is my second time at Kimberly Spa, I was visiting my firend who lives about 5 minutes from Kimberly Spa. I was not expecting such high quality service, since this is a Chinese owned little store. But I was wrong, their massuer had massage license and it was posted on the wall for customers to see. She gave the best foot massage ever, the pressure was perfect, (i've had very painful massages, since the Chinese culture beleives in massage can cure certain biological disorders, so they do it with tensed pressure.) Came to get a foot massage with some friends. When we first came they were enough workers to accommodate all of us and they were welcoming. Got the one hour foot massage and my masseuse (Jack) asked how I strong I wanted my massage which was nice cause most would just go in and wait until you tell them to soften up. Upon entering the atmosphere is extremely clean, and there was Zen music playing. I greeted the man at the front desk and he did the same and he told me to have a seat in any chair. I did just that then got comfortable. The masseuse brought out a huge basin of water to quickly soak my foot in then he began to work half an hour, each foot and calf. It was very relaxing. I then decided to go on Yelp to check in. After I did it said I get a free 10 minute massage The guy who worked on my feet asked me if I wanted a back massage or another foot massage so I guess you have a choice. I told him a back massage and he placed the chair for me to sit and place my head in what I call the donut hole lol. This was done after my hour 60 minute foot rub. At the end of the foot massage I got a nice hot stone foot and calf rub which was fantastic. At the end of it all I went to go and pay, and I saw on there price list the 60 minute foot rub was $47 so I pulled up their website and I showed them that it says 45 online. She told me $45 in cash $47 by using card so I used my card since I didn't walk with any cash so keep that in mind. I definitely recommend this spot. I'm glad that my friend found it and I followed suit. I will be making this a monthly thing. I can't wait to go back again. So don't hesitate to check them out.

I was asked if I had a preference for a male or female masseuse, but I said I had no preference but stated that I wanted someone strong to properly deliver a deep tissue massage. I was assigned an older lady as my masseuse. She was very sweet, but she did not deliver the deep tissue massage I expected. I also felt like she did not focus enough on the areas where I had knots, which was a bit disappointing. It felt like a normal massage, not a deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, I probably will not be returning.

I had a 60 minute lymphatic drainage massage here in the morning. I want to say I was the first one in. Rooms have curtains for doors, but since no one else was getting serviced at the time, it was quiet and relaxing. While I didn't notice a massive difference in how I felt after the drainage massage (although my sinuses felt more open!), it was still very relaxing and the person who serviced me was sweet. I'm glad she used a wet towel after the massage to wipe off some of the excess lotion/oil used. An overall nice and clean place for affordable massages! :)

I was immediately greeted by the owner when i walked by. Luckily they had openings and I got my foot rub right away. My masseuse was great and she worked on my tired feet and my plantar fasciitis well. Then, I also got a 60-min body massage after. The bed was a bit hard because they put a paper sheet on top of regular sheet and there is no regular room but a curtain divider. Regardless, the massage was good and even comes with hot stone. At the end, it was a very relaxing massage and definitely worth the price. It is not the luxurious massage from fancy spa but you get a nice bodywork done. I ended it with a quick 15 minute back massage where she focused on my shoulders like I asked and was able to annihilate my knots after the 10 hour flight to NYC 2 days prior.
