We ordered the Red Bludak fried chicken, the kimchi fried rice, and an order of fries. The fried chicken is obviously the star of the show - delicious and crispy. I love that it's not too greasy. This is bone-in chicken, not boneless. The ramen on top is fun and tasty - it is creamy and just a little spicy. The fries were perfect, not too fat or thin, and not too salty like a lot of places. The kimchi fried rice was good but I would have personally liked more of the aioli-like sauce they had on the plate. The portions are large, me and my husband ate about half of these three dishes. While it was good, but honestly it wasn't as good as some other Korean chicken places, and I feel it's definitely not worth the price. I've been waiting for this place to open since like April and they are officially open! This spot was such a great vibe and had such TASTY Korean food. The owners were extremely friendly and spoke with us about their menu items and experience. It was such a great encounter! They made sure all was well and really made us feel welcomed. Butterfly chicken (10 out 10 , extremely juicy inside and crispy outside - overall so flavorful) I really recommend getting this KR Galbi & House Bul-Kogi Plate ( very delicious and pretty big portion) Triple Tacos(one of each protein- chicken, bul-kogi, and spicy pork. Very delicious and a perfect amount of spiciness, and it comes on corn tortillas) Spicy pork fries ( omg this was SO YUMMY and the fries had so many toppings on it, like house cheese, onion and spicy green salsa) Kimchi fried rice - this was very delicious but spicy ! However, you can ask them to make it less spicy if needed. Sorry I shouldn't stare but they were so tempting. Simple fast food order and seated setting. There were not many options on the menu but already good enough for me to try for weeks and definitely I know many encores! Korean fried chicken with different dressing, you can choose the options of ordinary chicken, or wings, or boneless chicken with extra money. I ordered the Red Chon, hot spicy. It came on a huge tower, creamy cheesy red sauce covered the crispy juicy chicken! You can't find this anywhere else. They are super good! My hubby ordered kimchi fried rice! I was craving KFC (Korean fried chicken) today but did not want to drive all the way down to Duluth for the plethora of KFC options they have, and came across Kimchi Red in Alpharetta. It's a little shop in a smaller plaza, but don't let that discourage you from going in. When I entered the restaurant there was only one family in line and a few tables taken. After we ordered, it got slammed packed with a line all the way to the door from the counter. All the tables were taken in a matter of minutes. We questioned the high prices of the food, at least compared to competitors like Pelicana and BBQ Chicken. However our thoughts changed once we were greeted with a mountain of fried chicken with sauce dripping down. My eyes have never seen anything more delectable. Overall, the food was delicious, I'm familiar with Korean flavors so I enjoyed my choice of sauce. I'd recommend asking the cashier what their popular flavors are if you're overwhelmed with the menu. I would come back again if I feel like splurging on KFC! read more

I don't have much experience with Korean Fried Chicken so I can't speak to authenticity- but overall I thought the food was good. The chicken was nice and crispy and crunchy. I thought it had good flavor, versus what some reviews here say. You get a lot of chicken! If it were just the food, this place probably would have gotten another star. Mostly because there are no options to order a reasonable amount of food. I would also agree that it's confusing - it took us a good 5-10min to go over the menu, options and flavors with the cashier. If you want to order chicken you have to order a full order at like $30- it's enough to feed 4 people. We had half leftover of the Spicy Jeonju- it's also something that doesn't carry well out of the restaurant. It gets soggy and obviously won't reheat to its former glory. There should really be options if you don't want that much chicken. We had to order separately for the kids- they are little and don't eat spicy- but there are no kid size options. So we had to do a separate chicken order for them. We were able to do a half of the K-Crispy- apparently that's the one item you can get a half of. And it was still too much for two toddlers. And none of this comes with anything- it's all a la carte. So we ordered a small side of rice and fries- which is $8 but you get a mountain of fries. All in we weren't expecting to spend over $70 for a quick weeknight dinner out but I suppose we did have leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day. Just a note for parents- I'm not saying every place has to be kid friendly but I did not find this place to be kid friendly. I didn't see any booster seats or high chairs. No kids menu for smaller, reasonable portions. But all in all, I can see myself craving the chicken and wanting to go back. I started this review at a 3 but will give a 4 since I'd want to go back and try more. read more

The fries were so good with the cabbage topping I had to tell my family. They then, started telling me the chicken tasted amazing, also!. I had to try it! Saw this place multiple times on social media so I figured I would check it out. We went to the Alpharetta location. I was caught off guard by how small the establishment is. You can eat there but the size of the space makes it more suited for take out. It is also hot inside which makes it even more uncomfortable. We ordered a whole K-Crispy with the soy garlic sauce on the side. I would suggest purchasing the half if you are with two people as the whole is better for 3-4 people. The chicken was very crispy and flavorful. We ordered the Kimchi fries which has a bunch of sauces, cheese, kimchi, and pork however, I did not see much pork on my fries. The sauce really overpowers everything else. The kimchi fries are 13.99 and I think it is pretty pricey for what you get. I would not purchase again. Regular fries are 8 dollars. They are very crispy. Overall I think this place is good but it can get very pricey. I paid 76 bucks after tip and that was for 2 diet cokes, a whole chicken, kimchi fries, and regular fries. My recommended improvements would be to relocate to a larger establishment since the inside is not very comfortable for seating. The business seems like it gets lots of traction. Also the sauces are very expensive and should be cheaper or included. Basically 2-3 dollars for a ranch cup worth of sauce. read more

I've been trying to remind myself to write this review ever since my friends & I tried this place on a saturday afternoon and i finally got to writing now. We ordered jeonju chicken, kimchi fried rice and the mega fries. The chicken was my favorite among all - its among the best fried chickens i've had. The kimchi fried rice had great flavor too - we asked for it to be spicy and we loved it. The mega fries were good as well - however they could do with a bit more meat :-) The owners & staff were very nice too - helped us with what to order since we are not very familiar with the cuisine. The location is not perfect (only accessible on one direction of Old Milton), but, there is always parking available. The service has ALWAYS been exceptional. As my Uncle Ben said with great power comes great responsibility. Being named the top chicken restaurant comes with a heavy burden to bear. Ok, maybe that wasn't my Uncle Ben, and maybe I am not spider man. But lets not lose focus, lets talk chicken. I came here for take out and got the soy garlic pepper, and mala chicken. Right off the bat you can tell the chicken is good quality, they take the time to make it fresh, and they go by weight ~12-14 wings per portion (they say its for 2). The chicken itself is great with the huge wings, and cripsy. They really take the extra effort when they pack it to make sure the wings retain the crispiness. Then the sauces, mala is my soul food, and this one did live up to the billing. It was spicy, flavorful, and I would come back to get this. I think the soy garlic flavor though was a miss, it was sour and tasted off. Definitely one that I wish I had not gotten. I think overall as fried chicken places go, and korean fried chicken places. This place is great! Though the caveats being it is pricy (you can make the argument that it is quality?) though I do not think the portion sizes were enough for 2 people and they did not have any half orders. Would consider going again, though just for the mala wings. read more

I recently visited this Korean kimchi restaurant, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The food was poorly cooked, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste and quality. The place was very busy, which might explain the lack of attention we received, but it was still unacceptable. Adding to the frustration, they forced an 18% gratuity on us, despite it being self-serve for utensils, napkins, and disposing of our trash. This policy is baffling and feels unjustified. If you're going to enforce a gratuity, at least pay your staff better so that customers aren't forced to tip for subpar service. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out since I saw construction begin, hoping it would be good. We actually wanted Dakdoritang bur they since then took it off the menu. Either way, my wife ordered everything just to try it. Fried chicken with and without sauce, tofu / rice dish, and kimchi jjigae. The chicken came out first and was great. I was glad it wasn't completely smothered in sauce and I highly preferred the sauced version. But the kimchi jjigae, oh man. Best I've had that I can remember. But if it's part of a dish I like it a lot. This time we tried the Spicy Jeonju Chicken. We will call it a tie in first place with the Ma-la Chicken. Absolutely delicious. Legitimately the best fried chicken I've ever had & I am 40 years old & grew up in Georgia. The food here is excellent. It's a fun experience. The chicken comes out in a huge pile/tower & is covered in ridiculously tasty sauce. You wear disposable gloves to eat the chicken. Every plate I saw go out from the kitchen looked DANK. The ladies working the front were super sweet, courteous, friendly, & accommodating. I loved everything about this place. I can't wait to go back.
