I have absolutely no idea how this place has as many customers as it does, except that it provides a LOT of buffet food. It's dirty, nasty, worn out in seating and decor, and overpriced. By my west coast standards this place is not that great. I'm not typically a fan of food sitting out on hot plates for random people to sneeze or sweat on your choices as they mill about. But by Mississippi standards, it's really not bad. Panda House will screw your order up most of the time and Dynasty Buffet is resoundingly mediocre. King Buffet won't deliver but at least you can fill a small carry out container. Good chow mein and I love their sauteed string beans. They seem to have a lot of dishes that cater to a fast-fried-food audience but if you can steer clear of that it's all pretty tasty. Your standard Chinese buffet. Very clean and food very fresh, so it's definitely worth it for lunch, but dinner prices are far too high. Parking lot is rather narrow, so come in your compact car rather than your SUV. read more

I took my family here for lunch .. three adult and two children ages eight and nine when I went to pay the bill I realize that she charging me for 4 adult and one child instead of three adults and two children . when I ask the cashier she was extremely rude . She asked me how old my daughter was and I told her she is nine . Then she said she still nine for two years now , I seen her here before - just paid the bill . I am really upset because I did tip the waitress $15 and she literally do nothing and now this moronic cashier is accusing me of lying about my daughter's age ... when I asked to speak with the manager and she say he out of town ... I will never come back here again but if you decide to maybe you should bring your children 's birth certificate so you do not get accused of lying about their ages . read more

Let me start by saying I love Chinese food. I've been to hundreds around the country. I literally made an account on this website for the sake of writing this review after trying to think of a way of venting my frustration. Earlier tonight I went to try this place. It was disgusting. I tried several things on the buffet. The coconut shrimp while cooked hadn't been peeled properly! The General Tsos chicken was not hot. The roll was cold. Literally everything I tried tasted like it had either been out too long or not cooked well. The tea wasn't sweet (But I try not to hold a place accountable for their tea). The wontons were so hard and stale I couldn't bite through them. I nibbled at a few things and politely asked for the bill. The person I was with and I had a laugh at the fact that even the fortune cookie tasted stale. We were sat in a side room with several other people in a cramped setting. The waitress bumped into our table no less than five times, almost knocking our glasses over each time without an apology. Not only will I not be back, I will persuade anyone who will listen not to attend this place and I plan on placing a call to the health department in the morning to check that shrimp out. Possibly the worst chinese food ever. Licking the south end of a north bound mule would be more pleasant. Plenty of tasteless options if you have no taste buds. Although we, generally, are not buffet or Asian Buffet folks, we stopped in for a quick readymade lunch about two weeks ago and the food was very good, the service was great, the place was clean, and the price was right (& 10% discount for seniors and active military), so stopped in for dinner yesterday with the daughter, her husband and our grandkids [daughter and military husband are Chinese food quasi experts ?] ... we enjoyed friendly courteous service, delicious food (daughter and son-in-law ranked this above other area Chinese food they have savored), a fun Family time with fish&meat&vegetable variety selections, ... good stuff, and we'll be visiting again during our stay here in South Mississippi! read more

I went here as i have a few times before..thinking that the way the food tasted before may have been due to my own preconceived ideas about buffet style Asian food, However i instead was greeted with the same sub par food i usually get there, but this time i got home and 6 hours later here i am projectile vomiting and dying of food poisoning on the floor of my living room it hit me like a tank and for no reason at all, horrible wouldn't recommend at all. King's Buffet offers the usual dishes and a variety of sushi. As is typical of buffets, some dishes are better than others, and I personally find the offerings a bit heavy on fried or otherwise greasy selections. Even so, standards like egg drop soup, egg roll, steamed dumplings, fried rice, and General Tsao's Chicken are very well prepared; I never leave hungry. Not the best,used to be so good now with new management the food is not tasty just plain salty. The snow crab legs are pure salt and barely has any meat. The food is sometimes old and you can tell it's not that great when's there like ten people eating. Next if you ever go here go to the lunch buffet it is somewhat better than the dinner buffet. Of course walking into a restaurant they always start off at 5 stars, at least in my book. (If not why go? AmIRight?) However, upon walking into this Chinese "establishment" (as the word restaurant clearly means they serve food and not cow manure) I quickly changed my mind. The first star left when we were dryly shown our table next to the plugged in vacuum cleaner (maybe not a good enough reason, but I have my standards). The second star left promptly when my first plate of food was shown to be inedible. The "egg roll" was full of grey meat fat, the "seafood delight" was anything but delightful (unless you are privy to rubber in sauce), and it took about 45 seconds to decide on a sugar biscuit because when I picked one up and set on my plate the plate was left with a chip in it. The THIRD star left when I decided since they obviously didn't know how to cook Chinese food, maybe they were better with American cuisine. #no. My slice of pizza smelled, yes you read correctly. Smelled. How do you mess up ice cream? Really. It comes from a machine. They perfected the art of ruining my childhood favorite dessert. The cones for the ice cream have been sitting out since Kennedy was assassinated. The last star was obliterated when we got up to pay for the pound of horse feed we were offered under the hot lamps, and the woman charged us for the dinner buffet. Dinner begins at 4pm. We arrived at 3pm. Desperately tried to find something edible for an hour. And walked up to pay at 4:03. No ma'am. Stars. Gone. The only reason this place is getting one star is because they have a presentable parking lot, free of the homeless and pot holes. Don't waste your money. There's a garbage dump about 3 miles east.
