Me and my friend had just sat down to eat, and a roach crawled across the table and fell onto him. He went to speak to the manager and what she said in defense to us finding a ROACH was "we have pest control and sometimes these things happen". She then proceeded to ask "was the roach on your food?" My friend said "No, but it was on the table and it was on ME." He then showed her the roach that he had to squish HIMSELF in a napkin! My friend suggested to leave and the manager only seemed to care if the roaches were on the food. We were not offered any type of compensation and were treated very poorly. They finally agreed to let us leave without having to pay and the manager rudely said "OK you can go..." Absolutely terrible service. DO NOT GO HERE! Had lunch here yesterday with family and friends Rainy, windy and cold in Dallas. It's an all you can eat buffet. Over 200 items to choose from Chinese, American and Japanese food. Including their Mongolian Grill section where you can choose your food items being cooked on a very large round stainless steel pan in front of you. I tried their Mongolian Grill. Got a plate of beef, chicken, crab meat, bean sprouts, mushroom, 2 eggs, onions, garlic, pepper and soy sauce for garnish. It's fresh and delicious. Tried their hot and sour soup too. Taste good. It's the largest and spacious buffet restaurant that I've been to within Dallas area, about 12,000 square feet of several food counters and different sections. Serving Staff are quick to help and courteous. Interior decor is fascinating and uniquely designed. Price per person is reasonably affordable. Seniors, 60 yrs old and up get 10% off on their bill. Make sure you inform them before you get the bill. Clean and separate Men and Women's bathroom. I will try their Dallas Dinner Buffet next time. I don't know if the first time I went it was a fluke or the fact that it wasn't a weekend night, however I was embarrassed that I was so determined to bring friends here. Saturday night, lots of cars in the parking lot and had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table. Unlike the last time I came, tonight there were crabs on the buffet. I did notice that if you want them hot, they ask that you like up your plate and tell the waitress, but they charge you for warming up the food. Also the food seemed bland this time, the teriyaki chicken was tough as was the beef and broccoli. First time here. The selections are overwhelming and we came on a crab legs and oyster night so it was super busy in the parking lot. We got there around 5pm on Saturday and by the time we left, the lobby area was packed full of people waiting to be seated. The table service was excellent with our two pot continuously filled each time we open the lid indicating the pot needs a refill and our spoil plates were cleared right away. The flavors of the clams were excellent and I like the little spiciness taste to it. The crawfish was good but some of it was too done that the shells were smashed. The spoon used should be a slotted spoon to help with the water drainage back into the pan. The sushi I had I felt the rice was a little off because it wasn't sushi rice and was a little grainy that the fixings on the sushi not come together. The oysters didn't look very appealing because it was so mushy and like it had been sitting out for awhile not fresh. I usually love this place BUT after today I will NEVER be back. I was in line for crab legs when the gentleman brought FRESH ones out. Upon taking the fresh crab legs to my table I notice a UFO on my plate. After further investigation I discovered it was a wet NAPKIN. I pointed it out to the manager (that didn't seem surprised) and she suggested that a guest put it in there (which was suppose to ease my concerns ) 0 out of 10 I was really disgusted. King Buffet is a freaking amazing Chinese buffet and my absolute favorite at the time of writing this review in the category of Chinese buffets or buffets in general or maybe even Chinese food in general lol. Do be aware that they are a bit pricey at about $15 a person before drink but also keep in mind that the quality of this Buffet far surpasses any others I have been to with the exception of the King Buffet in San Antonio Texas. I'm not sure if the two are related in any way but they are both very similar and both have very high quality standards in my opinion as far as buffets go. A few things I would like to point out about this buffet is they have if I remember correctly over 200 items on the buffet (I did not count them personally it's just advertised that way) and SOME of those 200 items you won't find on any other buffets or at least not that I have seen. One of my favorite things on this planet is seaweed salad made with sesame oil which they have on the buffet, I've personally don't eat oysters on the half shell but they also have those on the buffet, They also serve three different types of fish eggs on there sushi bar, and not only do they have steamed snow crab legs they also serve fried crab as well, and last but not least where as most Chinese buffets these days serve some type of muscles King Buffet included also serves steamed shelled clams. Of course they have all of your Chinese buffet Staples as well but I won't make this review any longer with that. The buffet is 14.99$ a pop and well worth it. Was invited here for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food at King Buffet. There were plenty of choices to choose from more than other Chinese buffet and all of the food were pleasable. They have a lot of goodies with some of the highlights including crabs, crawfish, sushi bar, and Mongolian grill. They even have a chocolate fountain for dessert and that's saying something. All the food were hot and fully maintained for guests which was surprising for a Wednesday night. Staff were friendly and attentive all night. Came here on a Friday night. Place was busy, which is always a good sign of fresh food. Not necessarily great tasting food, but it is the basic Asian buffet. We tried the Mongolian bbq first. Both my son and mine were a bit saucy and oily as I know I didn't put that much sauce on mine. The other food were standard buffet with the exception of chocolate fondue. But the chocolate tasted watered down and all the bananas sitting nearby were all dark colored as in being outside too long As it's weekend, it's a tad more for seafood. So we went earlier today, and we were surprised by its first impressions. The indoor environment is makes you feel so zen. The staff there is fast and friendly. Their food was cooked perfectly and delicious to the taste. Moreover, it was all at a reasonable price. King Buffet I think ties with Uno One in Irving for best Chinese Buffet palace in DFW if not Best in the nation for their vast variety of food, desserts, as well as their salad bar. First time experiencing this place with the work crew. We went at lunch which was pretty busy. You walk in and they seat you right away. You don't pay right away like how you do at other buffets which I thought was odd. You immediately see the custom hibachi/grill area that is the focus of the buffet. You can custom build a hibachi style dish or select from the sushi bar. The hibachi does take a while to get so I would suggest you go on a less busy day to try that. Behind the grill station is where you will find all your steam tables with different food options. Everything looked fresh and delicious! I would say I don't recommend the Pepper Steak. It was chewy, almost similar to chewing a rubber band. I had multiple people confirm this at our table. The servers were constantly picking up plates and providing refills without hesitation. The food was hot and fresh, but I do feel that it could have used more seasoning, but that's probably a personal preference. I think this place is good for a buffet style restaurant.
