This is my first visit to the mythic realm known as Flavortown, a place inhabited only by the best meals on earth. I see a large sign, it is a kingdom's name and sigil illuminated by old lightbulbs. I walk toward His majesty's plaster castle walls to render unto him my peasant money in exchange for a morsel of his bountiful Mexican cuisine feast. Inside I see him, King Taco himself sitting atop a throne made of menu items and chalices filled to the brim with horchata. His ancient flour tortilla lips whisper, bid me come closer. I ask "I heard about the wet burritos here. I've come from far away, a couple blocks. It was not an easy journey. I lost many along the way, but mostly because I ran here." His tired eyes rise and he whispers "The days of yore are no more. The behemoth that once was the glory of this establishment is nothing more than a shadow of its former self. Here, witness. Lo and behold this. I am sorry." He slowly raises his clenched fist and opens it to reveal a wet burrito that betrayed its name. It was not a burrito and it wasn't the right kind of wet. I weep, this cannot be true. The King offers his condolences and offers me anything else off the menu, but I refuse. My friends walk in as I tell them the news. There is outrage, tears and in the end acceptance. As we walk out the King gave his death rattle. The King is dead, long live the King. read more

Great burritos mojados but my favorite was definitely tacos de chicharron with green salsa on top.

Have lived in LA now for 11 years, and have tried a lot of tacos at restaurants and taco trucks. Not quite GOAT, because some of the mom and pop taco trucks serve amazing food, but King Taco has consistently stayed at the top of my list for best tacos. It's also nice to not chase down a taco truck all over town to eat! read more

I always come here for there wet burritos yum! So bomb! Two things though they're stingy with there salsa(the green one is the best) and usually depends but they take forever but it's definitely worth it !! You must try the wet burrito ! Lol read more

This king taco has the worst costumer service my friend and I literally waited to get our one burrito for 20 minutes as we saw every one after us getting there food first when we asked where was our food turns out they hadn't even began making it they had forgotten I guess. Just got back from this location & it was horrible service!!!!! Just getting straight to the point to be exact I placed my order @ 4:15 & didnt get it until 5:10 NO JOKE!!!!!!! Really like about an hour wait!!! We would of probably been waiting longer if my fiancé wouldnt of got'n up to let them know about our extensive LONG wait. This is not the first time out of allllllll King Tacos which normally take long anyway this one is the worst!!!!!!!!!!! Food is always consistent and great; some well established franchises can't even get this right. However, they ALWAYS make you feel awkward when you ask for salsa. I've asked straightforward, in an inquiring demeanor "why so much resistance to serving salsa?" To which I've been told on multiple occasions "it's not me, it's management that only allows 1 salsa for every 4 tacos." Customer service is uniformly substandard at all locations, which consequently, leaves the customer feeling with an alienated dining experience. Having said that, and sadly, I believe this management style is nurtured and encouraged from the very top. Hope this changes soon, but I doubt it. read more

So my experience with king taco is the worst this is the third time I give them a chance to do it right. So today I went in there and order my food something simple something that shouldn't take so long to make I waited 30 minutes for my food . And I bet if I would've went up to the counter and told them that I've been waiting for 30 minutes that will probably take an hour to do make my food. And that's not the worst part I went up there I spoke to the lady and I told her I want my money back and she told me that she need to see my card? And I told for what ? I don't want money back in my card it would take up to 5 Business days to get my money back. And they told me is the only thing they can do. So plus making me wait for my food I also have to wait for my money. Later they to me sorry .. saying because they have to many customers. Okay So what am I? It's the bomb.com yo. Carne asada is moist and flavorful, I had the taco and sope. The sope is amasing. I tried an al pastor taco too. It was really good but I like my al pastor to be more well done, but to each their own. I would recommend this place to anyone and the 4 star rating is more related to me only giving out 5 star ratings when the food makes me cream a little, so it's not a knock on them. read more

Probably one of the best king taco shpots around. I love their tacos and wet burritos. They are also open late during the weekend which is a plus. The only downtime is the wait. Some staff SUCKS !!!! I made a phone order expecting to pay n go.. Well I was there for 20 mins before they even start preparing my order.. I've previously gone to this King Taco and i always order a wet burrito with salsa roja inside the burrito. Today i went and i got the usual and when i started eating the burrito, the "salsa roja" tasted different than the other times. It tasted as if it was Tapatillo. And when i complained to the cook, she just at me and said that it was the same salsa. After this experience i wont be returning there anymore read more

I really love king taco but By far this was the worst King Taco service! I was very disapointed going in today for this visit! I am extremely a king taco fan but im sure not coming back to this one... the food portortion was very small for the price that i payed and compared to other king tacos the portortion is lacking... also i ordered 6 tacos 2 nachos 2 burritos 1 torta and i was only being given 4 salsas!!!!! What is food without it's salsa... so plain! And i ordered a side of rice for my baby and it was plain to... very extremely disappointed... read more

I don't thing this is right. An employee becomes a customer in lunch time, like any other companies they need to go to the end of the line or they need to order the food in another register. Last time i went they didnt have limones, rabanos, and salsa. Burritos are small compared to other places and cost the same or more. Service is also bad, the women taking orders at front desk seems to have a bad attitude, looks and answers in not the best way. I asked if they could cut my burrito in half and she said: you need to do that yourself; which is the first place where they have told me that. read more

Good location with plenty of room and quality is good. Wet burritos are the best here with more than enough meat and always made right. 3 stars because it is always packed and horchata is not at its best. But if you don't mind that then you'll enjoy mostly anything you order. read more

This is place is fucken stupid it takes them 30 minutes to prepare any order even if it's a simple burrito! They are so fucken disorganized! The only cashier they always have Griselda takes the stupid order wrong. My husbands burrito had a hair! i have been going to king taco since the truck on 3rd and ford in east LA first got started there, my friends and i would go and when ordering we would tell Raul ponle un chingo de carne no seas tacano (he would just smile). i have all ways said the they had the best al pastor and red and green salsas the asada is ok. in recent years they have been a disappointment , yesterday afternoon we went to the location in Pico Rivera and i ordered 1 sope and 4 tacos al pastor and like recent hit and miss the sope shell was like rubber the tortillas were dry and worst the pastor meat was dry and burnt . i have called the kings corporate office before and complained about these issues and they don't say much and worst they don't do much about their problems. the only consistency is the salsas and flavor of their pastor but as much as i try to re-live the days when they where the best it just doesn't happen so with sad regrets goodbye King Taco.
