Gormet burgers! Quiet time (3:00ish) Food was delivered to our table quickly. Will return!

So I have to start by saying I'm a big fan and I've only been twice! The food has been awesome both times and the juices are good and unique. I've been for lunch and had their great big Cobb salad and also for a date night with an appetizer, main course and dessert. I was a fan from the first time I came BUT the service I got the second time was possibly the best I've ever had! I walked in and explained that I had been once and I brought someone who was coming for the first time and that's when Cam showed us his skill and care! He walked us through the menu from memory with excellent recommendations from every different part of the menu. It was seriously impressive how well he knew the menu. If I had to guess, I would have thought he was the business owner! I ordered strictly from what he recommended and he did not let me down!! I got the fried risotto balls, steak tacos and the pumpkin Bundt cake and they were all delicious! Cam also recommended the vanilla rosemary with some sprite in it and it's a new favorite drink of mine! The pumpkin dessert was also the best pumpkin dessert I've had this season and I try all of them At the end, he came and checked on us and I honestly feel like I can go in and ask for Cam now like he's a close friend. 10/10 recommend read more

An absolute hidden gem! I just wish there was one closer to my home. I've been a couple of times now, including once with a professional chef. I was struck by how wonderful and diverse the menu was. They didn't just stick with the same menu items that you see everywhere else. It's bold and fun and classy all at the same time. The burger is one of the best I've ever had. This place has been on my "must try" list for a LONG time and I finally made it happen with a friend. The ambience is bright and clean - super cute. I was expecting a fancy, sit-down restaurant but it's faster than that. You order and pay at the register and then sit. So that was a pleasant surprise!! I had a really hard time trying to decide what to get because everything looked SO YUMMY! Luckily I was there with a friend so we could try more things!! She ordered the bruschetta (which was amazing) and I got the fried risotto (also amazing). Her steak tacos looked enormous and my tri-tip sandwich was simply divine. The star of the meal was DEFINITELY the hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. They were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. I've been here a couple of times and ordered a myriad of things. All in all, it's a solid fast-casual dining experience! One of my favorite things I've had is probably the chicken tacos--don't expect traditional tacos tho! There's cheese melted onto the tortilla, chicken, and a fresh mango slaw. Heard so much hype about this place so I took a friend here on a much overdue catch-up lunch date. My friend ordered the tri-tip steak on top of her cobb salad. I ordered the tri-tip steak plate, which comes with mashed potatoes and a side of green beans. I did ask the cashier (you place the order with the cashier and pay for it before sitting down) if I can sub my mashed potatoes with a side salad, but that was not possible. I also ordered a side of fries to share. The cobb salad looked pretty appealing to the taste buds - looked like it was appropriately proportioned and the presentation was good. The fries came and it was on the borderline of warm/stale. So I asked if I can get freshly cooked fries and they were more than happy to replace the one they originally served me. My tri-tip steak plate was just alright. Nothing to rave about, nothing super special about it. The mashed potatoes were decent, the green beans were OK, and the steak - well I was just not impressed. Maybe I'm not a tri-tip steak cut fan, but there were a couple of bites that were chewier than it needed to be. I asked my steak to be well done, and when it was served it still had pink in it. Plus my entree didn't leave me with a feeling of "oh this plate is super fresh and just out of the grill" kind of feeling. I had high expectations of this place, and it was a bit of a letdown. This place is SO YUMMY! There is something on the menu for everyone and the prices and portions are really reasonable for the quality. It's counter service so it's like fast casual, but it's such a step up from Cubby's. I had the pork tenderloin and it was so delicious with their mushroom risotto and asparagus. Staff is very friendly! The food is very fresh and I appreciated that the grilled chicken wasn't dripping in grease. I will say that the char on the chicken made it bitter so my child didn't love it. The French fries were a great size and well seasoned. I will note that they were slightly underdone so they did not have that *crunch*. I was a bit surprised to find that the fried risotto balls were not gluten free. We have previously come to this location and been told it was gluten free, so it makes me wary of the rest of the menu. The staff did not seem very knowledgeable about what was safe to eat for GF on their menu. I do know that historically we were told their Nutella cheesecake is GF though! The spacing is great here. Love K88! Been going here since they were just a wee little food truck traveling to my work in Draper (back in the olden day's when people didn't work 100% remote ). Fav is the tri tip with a blend of the chimmichuri sauce and mustard sauce, but the apple salad is also super delicious. Tried the Thatcher burger this time around too but it was bland to me and if I got it again I'd definitely add lettuce and tomato, though probably won't go for it again. For starters recommend the risotto. Tried the bruschetta too but it's a basic artichoke dip on toasted bread (and it was slightly cold), so not worth $8 to me. Outstanding. Every single time. I found Kitchen88 many months ago when they were still food-truckin' it near my office in Draper. I waited what seemed like an eternity for them to open their restaurant location and the food was great with the truck and it's STILL great at their AF location. I've been 3 - 4 times now and taken family and friends each time to introduce them. They still nail it every single time. Service is always outstanding, it can get a little busy and the lines a little long but clearly, there's a reason for that. The decor and interior is fairly basic but it's clean, easily accessible and just worth it. It's all about the food and that's what keeps us going back. I have two words (or one hyphenated one) for you. Tri-Tip. This is where K88 shines! Tri-tip salads, sandwiches or whatever it's just excellent! (See attached photos) If you're decide what to get, let me save you the trouble: Tri-Tip sando (a mess to eat to break out the napkins) but you'd be hard pressed to find something as meaty goodness as that thing. Also try the cobb salad w/ Tri-Tip. PS, the appetizer "Beehive" is a plate full of awesomeness. This is my first time visiting the brick an mortar shop for K88! And I was super super excited but ultimately a little underwhelmed. I love their menu, I love the concept, and love the potential they have. Unfortunately tonight everything except the fries was under seasoned. We ordered the spinach artichoke bruschetta, and fried risotto for appetizers. They sauce for the fried risotto was packed with flavor, but unfortunately the fried risotto came out almost cold (maybe that's the way they wanted it - I'm not sure). The risotto in both this dish and the pork tenderloin was missing seasoning. Great concept and a great sauce. The spinach artichoke bruschetta wasn't anything special for me - it was good but nothing amazing. We ordered the steak sandwich and the pork tenderloin. I was so pleasantly surprised with how tender both the steak and pork was. The steak, however, was under seasoned. And I think the pork would've been lacking seasoning as well but luckily had the delicious peri peri sauce to go with it. The risotto was lacking seasoning. The asparagus was delicious and cooked wonderfully. My steak sandwich was good and I loved all the components but the bottom bread of my sandwich completely disintegrated and I didn't have much to hold onto after that. The hand cut fries were the highlight. Really really delicious. The food came out quickly which I was surprised about. I loved the presentation. The deliciousness of this pace was reflected in the super long line haha! Great and fast service, and the food was so yummy!! We got a Cobb salad (and added tri-tip, it's about $4 extra to do that), tri-tip and mashed potatoes, and a thatcher burger. We also began with the spinach bruschetta and everything was delicious!!! So good. I enjoyed every moment. When i first saw the sweet potato fries, my thought was, "are those overdone?!" But they were actually perfect! Delicious dipping sauce as well. This restaurant was so good! I had the pork loin with the spicy mustard sauce. Although it sounded funny to me, I decided to go ahead and try the sauce. I must say this is one of the best I've had! I loved the meat and the sauce that came with it. The meat was super tender and the presentation was beautiful. Surprisingly, I also really enjoyed the asparagus! Unreal!! Seriously, go check this place out for lunch or dinner. It's a fast-casual restaurant and the food is incredible. If you're looking for something fresh, healthy, and delicious - look no further! We got there right at around 6:00pm on a Friday night. If you go at a busy time; be prepared to wait in line. We stood in line for 15-20 minutes, then waited another 20 minutes for our food. It was all amazing. Will definitely be back! Note - I give it 5 stars in terms of flavor/taste/portions and employee friendliness. However, I give it 4 stars because it took so long and because it's a little pricey.
