I tried a new Korean restaurant today and the food was delicious and affordable! The owners served us with welcoming smiles and prompt service throughout our meal. We enjoyed the ddukbokki, Spicy seafood noodles (jjampong), and pork belly with chives. Everything was a hit. The restaurant is located in the shopping plaza near Home Depot in the southeast corner of the plaza. Will definitely come back to try the numerous dishes in their menu!

I love this place so much. I come here for dinner when I'm staying in town for work. Such a cozy ambiance to dine in solo. The beef bulgogi is fantastic, arrives on the sizzling hot plate. Both the beef and onions perfectly sweet. Nice crisp on some pieces. The sides and miso come with your order with unlimited refills. You'll definitely get your moneys worth here, and the owner is kind and helpful. Amazing service. So happy I found this spot!

New Korean restaurant that opened up in the area that's great for your classic Korean foods! It's opened up by the same owner as 88Pocha in Gardena, so if you've been, you already know the food is amazing. They have similar menu items such as the Steamed Pork Belly w Chives, which is my favorite dish. The service was great as well! Our waitress was very friendly and hospitable. We were also able to say hi to the owner, which was nice. Inside, it's very bright and casual looking giving a comfortable vibe while eating. They were playing kpop dancing videos and playing some older gen kpop music. Will definitely be coming back here for great food and a great experience!!

This place serves absolutely wonderful Korean eats! Our family came in hoping to try a new Korean spot, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the owner is the same talented chef behind another restaurant we've always loved. It was no surprise that the food here was just as incredible. Everything tasted authentically Korean, comforting, and truly reminded us of home-cooked meals. We enjoyed an amazing dinner together -- the standout was the kimchi fried rice served in a stone pot, loaded with delicious melted cheese. The soy-ginger fried chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful, the Korean noodles were some of the best we've ever had, and the pork belly fried rice was simply outstanding. We finished with mochi for dessert, even though we were already completely stuffed because everything was so good. The owners are extremely kind, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the entire experience was a genuine 10 out of 10. We will absolutely be returning many, many times in the future. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal!

Previous Owners of 88 Pocha. Found them by chance. So happy as my wife lives their Kimchee Fried Rice. Very different Menu, much simpler. I hope they will consider bringing on special occasions, their yummy Duk Boki Place is much smaller, super clean and food is tasty!

Thank you so much for the delicious meal and great time

I visited KITCHEN SODAM for lunch since it recently opened near my workplace, and I was thoroughly impressed! The restaurant itself is exceptionally clean and bright, and every dish looked incredibly appetizing. I ordered the Fried Squid (Ojing-eo Twigim), and it was a true standout. It tasted as if it was fried in perfectly clean oil, resulting in a phenomenal flavor and a wonderfully crisp texture. The food had such a noticeable depth of flavor and quality that I was compelled to ask if the owners had operated a restaurant before. I was delighted to learn that the chef/owners previously ran 88 Pocha in Gardena, and decided to move here for better hours! My family and I were frequent, happy customers at 88 Pocha--we loved the owners and the delicious food there--so having them open a new place so close is a huge bonus! As a side note, I'm happy to say that the ownership transition at the old 88 Pocha location must have gone very smoothly. We've been back a few times and honestly hadn't realized the owners changed! The food there is still delicious, and the new KITCHEN SODAM is equally amazing. It's wonderful to have two great options now! The food is truly fantastic. I will absolutely be a regular customer here. Highly recommend!~

A nice traditional Korean restaurant with yummy bancham, great service, and good prices. Finally found a spot close to home to hit the Korean food craving. Also loved the way they decorated and wrote the menu about the different dishes. It was clean as well. Owners are very nice! They indeed used to run 88 Pocha as the other reviewers mentioned.

A small hidden gem in the South Torrance/PV area. This is what I would call an authentic bunsik style Korean food. Basically the type of food that students casually eat after school. I had bulgogi lunch box and katsu lunch box. Katsu was crispy and bulgogi was tender yet flavorful. I would recommend this place if you want to try authentic Korean comfort food.

Ate here for lunch for the first time. Near my job in the crossroads plaza, it's very good for what you get. Good food options and good service. The food was very authentic. The chicken was bomb. I would try the Bulgogi next. Definitely a place to check out if you want some Korean food.

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. My toddler ate 3 large pieces of it and kept complimenting how tasty it was. The kim chi fried rice had a great fried egg in it and had great flavor. Even the side of rice was delicious! It was moist and sticky without being overcooked. The bad: I didn't get to experience the food court dining in the grocery store. The interesting: The dishes came with a side salad with orange dressing, pickled yellow radish, and some citrus wedges. The dishes came with 3 pickled side dishes (including kim chi). and a soup.

So we scoured its food court for a quick meal and found this stall with a large selection of Korean dishes. After browsing through their wall mount menu, we ordered the following dishes: A1 Galbi Tang: Do you like juicy pork ribs in clear broth? Then this dish is for you. It came with 2 huge pieces of super tender short rib simmered in a light but flavorful broth with some soft texture glass noodles. It also came with a small set of traditional Korean Banchan side dishes (with kimchi, preserved turnip and seaweed salad) and a bowl of steamed rice. A16 Hot Stone Bibimbap: This dish is for those who like veggies. Inside the hot stone bowl, there were lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, turnips, mushrooms, and zucchini. Nicely arranged and topped with seaweed, fried egg, and slices of soft beef. On the bottom of the bowl, it had slightly burnt steam rice dabbed with sesame oil. Mixing them all together, it created a kaleidoscope of colors, and delicious blending of flavors and textures. This dish also came with one set of Banchan. For those who like spiciness, it provided Korean chili sauce in a sealed condiment cup. The portions were great and the prices were reasonable. Another great spot for casual Korean food in South Bay.

Wooga Sullungtang is officially one of my top places to grab some ox bone soup without having to deal with a longer, traffic-ridden drive to K-Town. The broth is silky smooth, rich, soothing, and honestly tastes wonderful on its own. But of course the salt, pepper, and plate of chopped green onions really amplify and improve the overall dish. Purple rice and banchan were delicious as well. I love how thick and crunchy their radish is and I loved pouring some of those juices into my broth about halfway through finishing. Kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and fish cake were so so addicting. Service was impressively quick. I came in while the Mexico vs. South Korea World Cup was broadcasted so the energy in the restaurant and servers was ELECTRIC. As for the food, you have to try the signature dish: gobchang (intestines). For a medium, you get to choose three of four types: abomasum (stomach), tripe, large intestines, and small intestines. Additionally, you get side dishes, a choice of a stew (kimchi or fermented soybean), corn cheese, steamed egg, and salad. They cook the intestines for you before bringing it out to your table, so that it says warm as you eat. They stir fry the intestines with potatoes, onions, garlic and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. We also ordered the beef tartare, since they had posters of it around the restaurant. The beef tartare is definitely in the top 3 of the ones I've tried around OC and SD. The cuts are thicker than normal and the seasoning is just right. They don't include a lot of ingredients like other places do, but it just hits better. It's within a plaza, so there is plenty of parking around the restaurant. I definitely want to come back for the intestines and the service. A++!
