Came to my house cleaned my sectional couch, they also treated for anti-stain (don't recall what the product was called). The guy did an excellent job cleaning the couch, the only reason is not 5 starts is because whatever products they used they were... the fumes were very strong. I had to leave a door open to help with the odor, also the couch stayed smelling very strong for about a week and over 2 weeks later I can still smell it but not very strong. The tech was prompt, quick, and friendly (maybe even a little too talkative! I am normally one to just keep to myself when service people are at my house). I will say the tech was a little unfit so moving my furniture seemed to be kinda hard for him and he needed my help. But overall my carpets looked good. I am happy to use them again. read more

Did well on the carpet, but the two men who did the work broke a vase my mother had received years ago that was passed down, they made us tip (not supposed to tip apparently), and overcharged us on top of the tip. The company is not at fault, but the cleaners were terrible and lied to us. read more

I will never contact this company ever again for any carpet cleaning needs. I had a very unprofessional experience today. My sister is the one who originally told me to go with them because she was charged $150 for her entire house. Once I called them, I was quoted around $760, with a discount so the actual total came somewhere around $350-$380. I told the lady that I spoke with, that I am unsure and she told me that she was going to schedule me in and to just call and cancel if I ended up deciding to use someone else. Anyways fast forward to today.... I received a call for a reminder on my appointment and called back telling them I thought it was already canceled and said I need to go forward with canceling this service as this was too much when I am doing a move out clean. Our landlord requires us to get a receipt for carpet cleaning regardless of how clean the carpet is at the end of your lease term. So I was not interested in their year warranty or anything of that sort as I just needed a quick cleaning so I could provide the receipt to my landlord as my carpets were in great condition already. When I was trying to cancel, a very polite and nice gentlemen told me he would give me a new quote for $7 dollars a room with no warranty and I would have to make sure all furniture was moved and the rooms were clear and vacuumed before they arrived. He told me the cost would be $121 with the $7 a room and a $37 trip charge. I agreed and told him that number is a lot better and more realistic and I would keep my appointment. About 25 minutes later I received a couple phone calls back to back (I usually don't answer numbers I do not know), so I decided to call the number back since they called a couple times. The lady who originally talked to me when I spoke to them the very first time answered and started going on about how he should have not quoted me that price. She kept mentioning their warranty and was saying if I pay that amount iwth someone else they are basically going to do a shitty job on my carpet. AGAIN MY CARPET IS IN GREAT CONDITION, I JUST NEED PROOF OF A CLEANING FOR MY LANDLORD. She went on to say the manager was not happy with him quoting me that and they went BACK on their quote and told me they won't do it for that amount anymore. She then quoted me $299 under the same conditions he said (moving all my furniture and vacuuming...etc). I told her no, that is not what I was told and I am not paying that much for CLEAN carpet to give the new renters the option of them coming back out. That was extremely unprofessional and they should honor a quote that THEY GAVE ME. I will NEVER use this company, and will make sure anyone in my family does not use them again either. This is for KIWI carpet cleaning, and I am unsure which office location was calling me, but I live in Wylie, TX so it was one of the locations near me. read more

We had them out to clean & seal our grout. Their employees are subcontractors. They sent a team of two with equipment that didn't work properly. Their buffer tripped our breaker. The equipment wasn't wired together properly. My husband took a look at the plug & two of the wires weren't even connected. It could have caused a fire in our home. The ladies told us they have been trying to get it fixed for months but Kiwi wouldn't fix it. We called Kiwi to tell them what happened and we would get a call back which we never did. The ladies had to leave to Home Depot to buy new parts for the buffer. When they "sealed" our grout they clearly did not. They sealed the tiles but not what we wanted. The tiles were very sticky. The grout absorbs water very quickly which leads us to believe the grout was never sealed. We paid extra to have it done. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Not happy customers. read more

After the agreed upon price of 149 when the tech showed up I explained to him I was listing the house and only wanted th carpets to look better not perfect as the new owners will most likely put in new. He saw a few pet stains that were years old and had been steamed cleaned a few times so no oder was involved. He then said to clean the floors it would be 149 plus 155 a room for the stains. That would have been 600 dollars and I am pretty sure I could get a cheap new carpet for that price he rooms are only 10X10. I did my best to get him to just go over the carpets and not worry about the stains. He said he could not do that so I asked him to leave. Please stay away from these people or bring the lube. This was a clinical definition of "bait and switch" when it comes to pricing. I was quoted $139 to clean carpets for 2 bedrooms. Once technician arrived, I was notified the closets were not included in the price and would be an extra $30 per closet. By the time it was over, My quote of $139 plus tax ended up being $210. If they had been forth right with this information up front when I booked the appointment, I would have gone with an alternative. Considering I was limited on time because it was an apartment "move out" cleaning, I was forced to pay the extra money. I will never use this carpet cleaning service again. RUN! read more

I sent this e-mail 7 days ago and have not received a response: Your representatives were extremely friendly. I told them I needed a sofa with cat urine on one cushion cleaned. They told me they could not quote on the urine removal, but basic cleaning was $60 to clean a couch with a discount for a recommendation. I completed that discount. When the cleaners showed up I was not offered a new estimate. They just started cleaning. They asked me if I wanted pet treatment, and I responded yes, as they were there to clean one small, three seat sofa with cat urine in one cushion. I was told on the phone by the initial estimator that she could not give me a quote for the cat urine because she didn't know how many passes it would take to remove the cat urine smell. My couch was cleaned with only hand spray fluid and a heavy duty vacuum. The couch still smells of the exact same cat urine. I paid $102 for the service, 40% more than what was quoted. I paid this because I assumed it meant they had taken care of the issue. The issue is unaffected. I feel I have been engaged in deceitful business tactics. My couch either needs to be clean, or I need a refund ASAP. read more

He was the rudest, most unprofessional, disrespectful employee of Kiwi that I have encountered this far. He told me "he was a trainer", hard to believe you would allow an employee with absolutely no customer service skills train other employees. He literally walked up to our door, I said good morning, we don't wear shoes in our home. Would you wear shoe covers or remove your shoes? As he is walking away from my door saying you'll need to "reset". I asked him if he had shoe covers in his truck because he was already back at his truck. He again said I need to reset. I said could he wait while I called? He said "he will not be removing his shoes or wearing slip covers as he could slip and fall and it's against Osha (sp?) and he is a trainer and will not do this". I asked him if he had tarps he could put down against wood floors? He said "I guarantee you my shoes are cleaner than your carpet" and entered his truck. He had no patience, no customer service skills. His entire demeanor and attitude was as if I had spit on him or did something to totally insult him. All I did was ask him to remove his shoes or wear shoe covers. When we purchased our home in May we had our carpets cleaned by you. A lady and a man came. They were a totally different experience and wore shoe covers. Shirley and Crystal at the office have always been extremely helpful and professional. A++++. Art however, was awful. No other words to describe his actions, attitude, and words. I am putting this on yelp, google and any other sites. You should really look into this. Unacceptable!!! Very upset at 8:00AM in the morning. So now that the technician left without any type of resolution. We are sitting here with all of our furniture moved out of rooms, waiting to hear when the next technician will be out. When this was originally scheduled over a week ago to be the first carpet cleaning of the day between 8:00-10:00AM. Poor, poor customer service. Unbelievable! After the previous work I had done by Kiwi my tenant still complained of smelling the pet odor, so I decided to give Kiwi another chance and called to get a quote on a pad replacement. They quoted me some obscene price (around $600) to clean and seal the sub-floor and replace the pad. (The original carpet and pad install didn't cast that much!) When I balked at the price they offered to reduce it by 20% and apply my $100 credit from the last job that I complained about. I decided to get a second opinion from Empire before agreeing to the work and they quoted me 1/4 of what Kiwi wanted so I scheduled them to come out. (The house is unoccupied right now, and I live two states away. I was trying to get this taken care of before the tenant moved in.) Last week I get a bill in the mail from Kiwi for the amount quoted on the call; Apparently they came out and did the work without my permission; or so they say. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all costs, it's not worth the hassle. Clearly their sales person screwed up and they want me to pay for it. Even more interesting, according to their notes I agreed to amount and paid by credit card over the phone; Which begs the question of why they sent me a bill.... And if I did agree to have them do the work, why would I then schedule Empire to come out six days later? read more

Do Not, I repeat, Do Not use this company for hardwoods or area rugs. I haven't seen my rugs since 05/02 (were supposed to pick up on 04/29). And oak floors, spots in every room, some worse than others. On their 5th visit, tech seemed to work hard, but no improvement; said discoloration due to sunlight. News Flash: heavily wooded lot with sheers always drawn! Can only pray my rugs aren't now gracing someone else's floors.
