The seating and items on the wall were fine. Neat to see some of the sports games playing. They had a claw machine game in the middle that had money in it! Up to $100! BUT... then when you look at the fine print it is just fake. One customer said he spent money and got it, but then learned it was fake after wasting money on a prize that wasn't real. I dont like that type of misleading presentation. We ate a Philly cheesesteak and a BLATT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, turkey, tomato). For the price the cheesesteak was smaller than I expected, especially not including any type of side with it. The bread was warm and soft, but the meat was slightly dry. The BLATT has the different size option for meat and the mid size was ordered, but it seemed like the only meat that increased was just the turkey leaving my wife wanting more bacon in it as well. It was alright as one time try but not sure if we will be back.

We were looking for something a little different and I found Knuckle Sandwich on Yelp. The menu looked pretty good so we decided to try it, since it was only a few miles from the house. The portions were huge and the service was pretty fast. The atmosphere is casual and very Chicago oriented. (I'm from Chicago but it's weird to find it in Mesa) anyway the food was good and I'd come back again. Only drawback: if you've read any of my reviews at all, you'll know where this is going: Pepsi products. Bleh...

Very friendly staff. Clean place. Cole slaw was a bit on the tangy side but still good. Ordered the pastrami knockout (9oz) of meat with Swiss and mustard (no mayo as that would be sacrilegious). The sandwich was a knockout, the meat was super lean with a great taste. We had a garden salad which was huge.

We decided to get sandwiches from knuckle today based on the great reviews. We tried them about 4 years ago when they first opened and they were good. Although the sandwich was tasty, I was finishing up my first half, only to feel something strange in my mouth. Sure enough, it was a hair. And this is not mine because it was inside the sandwich and I bit into it. I also have curly hair. I'm very disappointed. I hope this will be noted so it doesn't happen to other people in the future. I of course will be throwing out the rest.

Holy moly where do I start? These sandwiches were M A S S I V E. High quality meats and toppings. It's a popular spot and is sometimes difficult to find seating. Soooo many sandwiches to try. The sides were just meh, but honestly, you won't have room for them anyway!

Knuckle sandwich is hands-down the best sandwich shop in the east Valley! They make all their meats in house - no "cold cuts "here. The turkey is carved straight from one of the fresh birds they roast every morning, and the ham comes in generous chunks from the several hams they cook daily. The freshness doesn't stop there - every sandwich is served on a bakery refresh roll that are soft, flavorful, and the perfect compliment to the fillings. You can taste the caring quality in every bite. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back and try every single sandwich on the menu!

This is a very nice place to grab a meal. Be advised they stop serving breakfast at 1030, which is too bad because they had some very good dishes on the menu. So we ended up having lunch which was very good. The Reuben sandwich with pastrami was very good. The chicken salad sandwich was also a winner. The staff was super friendly and were the ones that recommended the sandwiches... winner! The menu was pretty entertaining too. They had cute names for the different dishes. They also have "diabetic cookies" which were good.

6/7/25: Short version - drove 30 miles to try Knuckle Sandwiches and we would do it again. Very color restaurant inside, pretty wide patio (no misters), fun artwork & decor, and quite a few tables for customers (but not crammed together). Long version - the gal behind the counter (sorry for not catching her name) was extremely upbeat & friendly, she started right in being all helpful with bread choices, describing the sammy sizes, and offering advice when asked "coleslaw or regular potato salad?" She said coleslaw & it was a good choice. It was the creamy type, not the vinegary type. My sister enjoyed the German potato salad. I ordered the steak sub (sans onions), sister went with the heavyweight (three kinds of meat). Both came with a large, crunchy pickle quarter. The steak sub was loaded with meat that was well seasoned, and had just the right about of mushrooms, and a scooch of the horseradish sauce (just like the gal said it was so kudos to her again). :-) Everything was reasonably priced, too. I would take a Knuckle Sandwich over those other larger brand name sandwiches any day.

It was our first visit to Knuckle Sandwiches. There were eight people in our group. Ladies at the cash registers asked if we were new to the establishment and I said yes, and they were very helpful showing us the menu and explaining everything. The picture shows a Dagwood sandwich and a patty melt with cream of potato soup. In our group, we had a variety of sandwiches. The roast beef sandwich with provolone was given a very high reading by one of the people in our group. The chicken salad was ordered by three people, and all of them agreed that it was delicious and a lot of food for the money. Everyone in the group was very satisfied with their order. We will definitely be going back to Knuckle Sandwiches!!

I was at Bashas next door and decides to stop in for a sandwich. I've had their Ceaser Salad with chicken before and it was good but nothing special but it's salad. Their chocolate cake and Zucchini bread are great choices for a sweet tooth. My son liked the pasta salad and I enjoyed their sandwiches. Portion was big and filling The staff was average no one went above or beyond but at least they were courteous. I like the decor and it's got plenty of seating.

First of all I want to mention their excellent customer service. I know food is the most important part of a review but they were just outstanding. Now onto something fun. Great sandwiches! We could get to them for 35 min and evert hung tasted fresh. My favorite was the BLATT sandwich but they were all great. Only Miss was the Cole slaw. Too wet for my taste. read more

The steak sub was fantastic. It had a very Philly cheesesteak like feel with a hint of horseradish and the flavors of the mushrooms and onions tied everything together. I really hate to give a family owned business such a bad review on their food but I would be doing a disservice to other readers if I didn't share my opinion of this restaurant. The hot stuff chicken knuckle sandwich my wife ordered was so salty and rubbery from being over cooked by hours it wasn't edible for human or animal consumption. I could of bounced it off the floor I'm not exaggerating! My pastrami was grocery store bought. There was no fresh food served to us for sure. I'm sorry but they won't be around long with that cook and food so best they keep their temporary banner up on the outside of their building. read more

This seriously is my favorite breakfast burrito I've ever had. All day yesterday at work I was craving a breakfast burrito, but the hospital cafeteria was closed by the time I could get to it. Looking on door dash this morning I saw the picture of this glorious burrito. I decided it was time to take the plunge, hoping it would really look as good as it did in the photo. IT WAS EVEN BETTER! Huge burrito for a great price with the right ratio of ingredients. It has a nice smokey flavor and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I will definitely be returning to try more of their dishes in the future. If this is the first impression with delivery, I can only imagine how phenomenal it is in person. Go see for yourself! You won't regret it. read more

This place looks like it's going to be my new sandwich shop. I tried the knuckle sandwich which is like a braised beef roast with caramelized onions, and the Kaiser roll was so fresh! The sandwich was loaded with juicy beef, it was delicious! The potato salad was homemade and really tasty. Went into this place with high hopes with the great reviews but was disappointed. My wife wanted a good authentic panini but was given a sad sandwich with no filling on toasted sourdough. I ordered one of their premiere sandwiches the Dagwood. At first sight it looked great, stacked high with fresh ingredients on what looked like fresh bread but the chicken in the sandwich was incredibly dry, the cheese that was melted on the bottoms bun was cold and the pickles on the sandwich looked and tasted like jarred pickles from the grocery store which was weird since there was a much better crispy pickle on the outside of the sandwich. Won't be returning. Also spent $20 on this when I could have went to JJs or jersey Mike's for a more premium tasting sandwich. read more

This newer sandwich joint was busy on a Thursday afternoon, which I took as a good sign. The menu had plenty of choices, it was almost hard to choose one to try! I settled on the BLATT and didn't wait long to receive my order. The only critic I had was that my bacon was underdone, personally I prefer crispy bacon on sandwiches and this bacon was very soft still. Next time, and I'm sure there will be a next time, I'll just request crispy bacon. The staff was helpful and eager to make their customers happy! read more

Private owned and amazing! They cook the meats in house daily. 3 sizes of sandwiches depends on how much meat you get. Lots of bun selections. Ham and Cheese is amazing. Too bad this isn't in a more popular location because it would do a great business. No scrimping on ingredients at all. Very friendly staff. We had a pastrami sandwich- full of delicious meat! Also a spinach, turkey pesto panini. Great toasted panini, great flavor. Nice little place for casual lunch. Recommend it if you want to dine in or grab and go! read more

This spot was perfect for lunch! Portion sizes are generous. REAL meat, not cold cuts are used (think chunks of turkey and thick sliced ham). Served steaming hot! Just what we were looking for to do lunch with our 15 year old son on lunch break from the lacrosse tourney (our son only ate half of his sandwich and was full after playing 2 lax games...so you KNOW the food is satisfying if the teen boy cannot finish his meal!) read more

First time here. Had a restaurant.com discount code. Brought the family. Got various sandwiches and a salad. It was very much worth it. The sandwiches were plenty big for the price and very tasty. They use roasted turkey, none of that sliced deli turkey. If you want a delicious sandwich for a reasonable price, check this place out. I need to come back and check some of the paninis out. read more

I was repeatedly interrupted while ordering, my request to use the same soup base in two sections of the four-part pot for my child was denied, and after choosing the All You Can Eat option, I was immediately warned about leftover penalties before we had even started ordering. Those interactions made me feel more like I was being monitored than welcomed, which was very different from the level of hospitality I expected from Haidilao. Instead of ignoring my concerns, the dining room manager, Evi, took the time to listen to everything I had to say. I explained my entire experience, including my disappointment from a previous visit when I ordered a Zootopia promotion but was never told about or given the promotional gift. Evi was patient, professional, and genuinely wanted to understand why I was unhappy. More importantly, the management acknowledged my feedback and told me they would review and improve these issues. They also generously comped our entire meal, which I appreciated--not because I wanted free food, but because it showed they took customer feedback seriously. After those initial issues, the rest of our meal was excellent. The food quality was great, and the service for the remainder of the visit was attentive, friendly, and exactly what I had hoped for when coming to Haidilao. Nobody gets everything right every time. What matters to me is how a business responds when something goes wrong. In this case, they listened instead of arguing, took responsibility instead of making excuses, and made a sincere effort to make things right. Because of that attitude, I'm happy to update my review to 5 stars. I truly hope the improvements we discussed become part of the experience for every future customer, because that's the Haidilao reputation people come here expecting.

What Haidilao is really selling is the experience, not the flavor. As an Asian woman who regularly makes hot pot at home with family, I came in excited and left sooooo underwhelmed. The ingredients were fine, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The broths lacked the depth and richness I was hoping for, and overall the meal felt more focused on presentation and service than creating memorable flavors. And even then, the service wasn't great. I frequently had to flag down the waitress for a refill or help. If you're looking for a first hot pot experience, celebrating with kids, or want the novelty of the noodle show, you may enjoy it. But if you're already familiar with hot pot and are coming primarily for the food, you may find it hard to justify the price. For us, the experience was memorable (and only because it was our first time trying this place). The meal itself definitely wasn't.

I recently visited Knuckle Sandwich, a sandwich shop that's been on my Yelp radar for some time. The anticipation was high, and I must say, the sandwiches did not disappoint. The shop is spacious, and the fresh aroma of bread and ingredients hits you the moment you walk in. Their sandwiches are quite large, packed with fresh ingredients that tantalize the taste buds. I got the Philly Cheesesteak which if you see the type of cheesesteak it is and understand that then it does not disappoint. My wife got the hero sandwich which she liked as well. However, a small hiccup occurred at the cashier. She asked if I wanted chips and soda. Eager to support local businesses, I added sodas to our order. They have one of those fancy soda machines with 127 flavors, which sounds amazing in theory somehow they had like 10. I have never seen that in my life. Why push for soda and not give us a warning? We went with tea...I don't understand this was a letdown, especially considering the price. For two sandwiches and two drinks, the total neared $30, which felt a bit steep given the soda machine issue. Overall, Knuckle Sandwich is a great spot for sandwich lovers. Just be cautious with the drink options and pricing. I will say it's a 3.75 but I'll round up to 4. Wish it was a tad less expensive and they were more honest with the machine. Despite the minor setback, I'll definitely be back for those delicious sandwiches more often if it wasn't as pricey. read more

Been to Knuckle Sandwiches about 5 times now. Overall a great sandwich. First three times I had the Hero and it was great! I tried a meatball sub last week and it was just ok, good flavor and an awesome size for the price. The only bad thing I can say about the meatball sub is that it is WAY too big to be able to eat like a sandwich, more like a knife and fork kinda thing. Today my boss and I decided to get a couple of Hero's Togo. Wow what happened?! Bread was nearly stale, very tough. Don't get me wrong I know what good bread is... crunchy flakey on the outside but soft on the inside (I'm used to Amoroso kinda rolls not the stuff most westerns like). This was NOT that, it was horrible bread today. In general the sandwich was not what it has been in the past, just not as flavorful as the last three times we have had it. The sandwich seemed to be missing something. There was very little lettuce, a smattering of mayo that looked more like an afterthought, a couple of thin sliced onions (most of which were on the paper and not the sandwich) and two slices of tomato. There was plenty of ham but other than the pepperoni the other meats seemed to be missing. If this was anyone other than Knuckle Sandwich (and I KNOW that they can do a better job than this) I'd give this review only 1 star. But since I know how good their sandwiches CAN be I'm giving 3 stars. read more

My wife, particularly, was enamored with her wrap, devouring it with gusto, leaving me fortunate to snag a single bite amidst her enjoyment. The sandwiches are acceptable but it's hard to enjoy them when you are see TV screens spouting conspiratorial hate-filled nonsense. I don't need to Newsmax showing cartoons with CNN, BBC etc at a firing squad by Dear Leader 45 who can't accept he lost. Do customers really need to deal with politics at a sandwich shop? Can't your food stand on its own? The owner claims he is an just innocent bystander to what they program on their own TV's in their own establishment. Really? Tonight my family I attempted to go to your location for our Shepherd fundraiser. I have visited your location before and was looking forward to trying something new. When we approached the doors there was a generic sign on the door stating they were having plumbing issues and needed to close early. While there, dealing with another issue, I saw the staff complete 3 online orders and take additional ones, without word of closing early. There were at least 2 of the staff not wearing mask. My husband and i just tried Knuckle Sandwiches for the first time. We both had the Steak Sub. The sandwich loaded with steak, grilled onion, mushrooms and melted cheese on a 9 inch sub roll served with a dill pickle wedge. The sandwich was very tasty. We both agreed we would order it again. $10.40 ea. which is reasonable for that size sandwich. The place was clean with plenty of seating if you wish to eat in. I had a mixed experience. The food was decent, but I was quite disappointed with the portion size. I ordered a sub that cost $14, and it was small for the price. The roof was visibly dirty and added to an overall unpleasant dining atmosphere with the fans nearly rocking off the ceiling. Second time in. Greeted soon as I walked in, asked what the gentleman recommended. He was on point with everything I got the Dagwood. It was stacked higher then I was expecting.
