First we spent almost $80 dollars for breakfast for the family my husband comes home starts sorting the food and my pancakes are missing. He tries to call them and the call does not ring goes to a automated greeting which says something like "Phone not set up to receive voice messages" so my husband has to drive back to the Waipahu Koa Pancake house to show them the forgotten item on the receipt. He tells them about their phone not working and he gets an answer of "I'm sorry" he gets the pancakes and brings it home. We were a party of 6, walked in and luckily another large party was just leaving so we were able to sit together. The service was pretty fast considering each meal is cooked to order! Something not officially on the menu but is absolutely the best pancake we have eaten anywhere is the Chunky Monkey! These are pancakes with banana, dark chocolate bits and crushed macadamia nuts! I had no idea Waipahu even had a Koa Pancake House. They are tucked in the shopping center that has New Hope, Payless, Goodwill, GNC, Seafood City and a few other stores. Came here for a late breakfast. There wasn't many people and no lines at all. The smell of coffee filled the air and we were greeted by the workers. We went to go order and I decided to go with the spinach, bacon, cheese and mushroom omelette. When you order you get a choice of rice, toast, pancakes, or house potatoes. And as much as I wanted rice, I decided to go with the potatoes. My other half went with the trio which is Portuguese sausage, bacon and sausage links, as well as eggs cooked your way. So she got them over hard. The same applies for the sides and ordered toast with it. You get a choice of wheat or white toast. We also go an Arizona green tea to drink. They have water cups if you would prefer water. You can either get water from the jug by the condiments table or at the soda machine. The food came out quick. The omelette looked big and stuff and ready to be devoured. The potatoes also looked great and I couldn't resist eating but had to take a pic for yelp before you know? Afterwards my girl got her plate and there was rice white on it. We told the server that we ordered toast and she went to get it and said we can have the rice as well. Got up this beautiful Saturday morning and of course my husband was craving for breakfast. Koa Pancake House is just one of those places that has a wide menu selection of breakfast items and to add to that their prices is very reasonable. ATMOSPHERE We went to the Waipahu location. And about 1pm it wasn't too busy. They practice social distancing so the tables were spread out. It was perfect for me and my husband as there was several open tables so we grabbed the first one that we saw. SERVICE You typically walk up to the counter to order your food and they will bring your order to your seat. The two gals at the counter were helpful One of the cash registers was down with only one open, however the wait time was very minimum. FOOD My husband ordered the "Big Deal Plate" which includes a bunch of goodies - 2 link sausage, 2 portuguese sausage, 2 spam, 2 bacon, vinha d'alhos (pork marinated in vinegar garlic herbs and spices), 2eggs, 1 scoop rice and 3 pancakes. All this for $15. I got a simple bacon, eggs and fried rice place. Again, their portions are very generous! Overall, if you are looking for a place to have a quick brunch this is your place. My daughter and I stopped by to pickup breakfast 9/27/24 at 10:43 am. The place was clean and busy with happy hungry people. ALICIA the cashier and her helpers JULIE and PRINCESS greeted us as we walked into the restaurant with a smile and gave my daughter and I time to look at the menu and decide what we wanted to order. ALICIA was very helpful very polite and attentive. We ordered 3 breakfast meals. Portuguese Sausage & eggs, Denver Omelette, Koa Omelette, an order of side bacon and Buttermilk Pancakes. Everything was made to perfection and very delicious. We seldom stop by for breakfast but when we think of eating out for breakfast we always choose Koa Pancake House Waipahu. They never disappoint when we go. We are always satisfied and happy. We usually visit the Waipahu location for breakfast about once a month, but since I have a newborn, we've been taking out breakfast about once a week. I love how they always provide lots of condiments to go with your meal. (They give whipped butter for the pancakes). My hubby and I usually get two plates, one with pancakes and one with rice (you choose your starch with your plates). They give plenty so we share our starch (he gives me extra rice and we share the pancakes). Price is reasonable too..it's usually about $20 or under for two plates. read more

Bacon, which, where ever I go, I should ask for it crispy, some people half cook it and I like my bacon well-done, it's not like steak for me, sorry. To each his/her own, but it's the way I like mine. I must say, I enjoyed this. Eggs weren't over or under cooked. The fried rice was tasty, with enough meat and veggies in them. I didn't have to add anymore shoyu to it for more flavor because I thought the flavor was perfect the way it was and they gave a lot of it, but everyone is different too.
