All-in-all, if you're looking for great sushi in a relaxed setting with friendly staff, I highly recommend checking out Koi Sushi.

Koi Sushi will not disappoint!! We stopped in for their Happy Hour specials to try out the restaurant since it replaced Yuki Hana. We chose a comfortable booth to start our first experience, and were immediately greeted by our server, Mico who was extremely helpful and friendly. We started with our drinks sake and beer to enjoy while looking over the extensive menu. Since it was Happy Hour we chose the coconut shrimp and lobster rolls to start off. Both were enjoyable, especially the coconut shrimp roll. We were able to relax and look over the menu for out next choices.

We chose Jade Dragon and Sunrise rolls to finish up our early dinner. Great choices with both. We'll definitely go back to try their full menu. Our server mentioned that their lunches offer great options as well.

We ordered chicken katsu curry, a jade dragon roll, and beef udon. Everything was very delicious, and the atmosphere was nice. I'm very excited to have this restaurant open near our home, and look forward to going back again.

I love this place. Food is always amazing and well priced. Service is also always great; Hallee is always my server and she's the sweetest and works so hard! I've been here when it's both busy and slow but it's usually pretty quiet. Love this place, recommend to everyone for easy yummy well priced sushi.

4 stars for kind service! We got two rolls, salad and two soups as well as a kids hibachi. For some reason, the food took a lot longer than we expected and our kids were ready to go. Hence, the two stars off. We also got there a few minutes after they opened. Jason and Jasmine were so sweet and helpful. I'm not sure if the rolls we got, but they were delicious! It was clean and spacious inside. High chairs are barely clean and this one was! Restrooms clean as well.

I've been here a few times. Once for lunch and twice for dinner. Are they my first choice for sushi prob not but they are solid. Nothing to write home about and open on Xmas In case you want an alternative to Chinese food so one extra star for that. The yellowtail poppers were great. The presentation on specialty roles is nice. And nobody has even been sick from this place as far as I know.

Delicious sushi for an absolutely unbeatable price! My wife and I stopped in here for lunch and we're pleasantly surprised. The wedding staff was kind and offered great conversation. The ginger salad had a delicious creamy dressing and the sushi was very good! Value for money this is truly unbelievable!

This establishment is located near the 417 exit on Aloma. There is a parking lot available for all the shops there. I came here to meet up with a friend for lunch. The place is deceptively big with plenty of seating. The lunch specials they have are very reasonable and include a soup or salad. I ordered hot tea and the sashimi platter with a salad. The hot tea came with the cutest tea pot and cup and stayed hot throughout. The salad is what you'd expect and the ginger dressing was good. The platter was filling and as mentioned before reasonably priced for lunch. The plating was beautiful. While I didn't get any other rolls other than the California that came with the platter, I think next time I may just offer some rolls. The sushi was good but it didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked compared to some other sushi experiences. That being said, the service was quick and efficient and the person I ate lunch with really enjoyed the rolls she got. Will go back to give them another shot for sushi and/or try some of their other non-sushi plates.

I've had Koi Sushi in my bookmarks for a while now and have finally had an opportunity to stop in for a bite. We arrived about an hour before closing time and were welcomed with open arms. It wasn't too busy so we were able to choose from several open tables. The restaurant is not too large but big enough to provide a relaxed dining experience. Our server Hayden was very friendly and was prompt with bringing our drinks. After placing our orders it took about 20 minutes for our meals to arrive. Nancy and I both ordered our own seaweed salad appetizer ($5.50 each). They provide the perfect quantity for the price too, no filler here. Nancy chose the Hollywood Roll ($5.95) and the Tampa Roll ($5.50), which were both delicious. I chose two of the higher priced rolls, the House Special ($13.50) and the Lover Tuna Roll ($10.95), which were excellent. Came here for lunch on a Sunday and was seated right away--no wait, which was a nice start. The miso soup was actually really good: flavorful and filled with seaweed and tofu. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't live up to that first impression. The chicken teriyaki tasted more like plain boiled/stir fried chicken breast with a light sauce than actual teriyaki. The gyoza filling was pretty bland, and even the dipping sauce didn't help much. The California rolls were small and just okay, not much to say there. That said, the service was great. The staff was attentive and very kind, which definitely made the experience better. I'd give the food 1 star, but the excellent service earns it a second.

This is a solid choice for sushi in Oveido! It's a little less formal than other spots, but the sushi was fresh and tasty, and the prices were great (insider tip: Check in on Yelp and you MIGHT get a 15% off to use!) The menu is huge! We came on Friday evening and it was pretty dead, surprisingly. But it was later in the evening and this area seems rather quiet. It's located in a little strip mall so parking was a breeze. We ordered squid, tuna, and smoked salmon sashimi. We also ordered the Sweet Heart Roll, Fire Island Roll, then decided we needed one last night cap and finished off with the Dynamite roll. Really tasty! Our waiter was very attentive and on top of his game! Friendly, too. I would definitely come back here, especially for a casual sushi lunch or dinner. If you're looking for something a little more fancy, other places may fit the bill better, but I recommend Koi as a solid option when in the area and needing a quick sushi fix.

When I'm in the area of UCF, I'm constantly looking for good options for food. I've found a few, and was happy to add Koi as another. Priced very well, the fish was fresh, the roll wasn't overwhelmed with rice, and the presentation was good. While my tasting was limited, I will surely return for more.

I'm always looking for fresh sushi places. Decided to give this little spot a try. It's in a shopping/restaurant area that gets pretty congested. So glad I didn't give up looking for a spot to park! The restaurant itself wasn't busy at all. Not sure why this hidden gem wasn't packed. The cucumber salad I ordered was quite the beautiful presentation (see picture). It was equally as delicious as it looked. My Krab Special Roll was pretty tasty too! A complaint would be that a majority of their rolls have cream cheese in them. Not my favorite item for a sushi roll. Also, a little stingy with the scallop topping and surrounding sauces. Other than that, it's a legit lunch spot!

Wow! I am so glad I found this place! Staff were incredible- Very friendly and great customer service. The food was very fresh and they had lots of different options of sushi rolls and they also have hibachi! I only had the sushi, sashimi as appetizer, and seaweed salad but I will be back to try the hibachi! I love that they didn't load the rolls with so much rice the way some other places do! I was able to taste the great quality fish!! And the prices are great too!! I highly recommend.

I have been here before, but since then it has had a management change. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He listened to our questions and gave great recommendations. There are a few dishes that are no longer on the menu since the last owners. I believe the menu I found online was an old one. The sushi was fresh and they offered a large selection of rolls. We will definitely return. read more

First time at Koi Sushi and definitely not my last! The sushi was incredible. Our server Stephanie was excellent, attentive, knowledge, and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and abided by COVID safety recommendations. Had the eel appetizer (not on menu yet) as well as garlic edamame. Volcano, awesome, and deep sea rolls. Very convenient neighborhood spot for sushi/sashimi! Overall, fresh fish quality and not bad in tastes, which makes it half of a win already for sushi/sashimi. I don't think it's the best sushi you could get, that's why I didn't rate it a 5. But for those who live nearby, it's good enough to satisfy Japanese cravings without having to drive further, and we'll be back for this reason. read more

If you haven't been to Koi, ya gotta go. This was our second visit to Koi and the wife and I love it. A new owner took over probably a year ago. Nice decor and very clean. We had the sushi on both visits, first time we ordered speciality rolls and this time we had the lunch rolls. All where great. Highly recommend their bang-bang shrimp. read more

I absolutely love this place. There sweet potato sushi is my favorite thus far I also love the New York roll. There sushi is fair priced compared to other spots and the service is really fast. I love how nice the servers are. The ambiance is standard for a sushi spot. I would definitely say it's worth checking out. I also would like to try other things on their menu. Love, love, love this place! It's small, but cute in decor and space. Took my daughter there for her birthday, and the sushi and entrees were excellent. The presentation of each meal brought out was eye appealing, and the taste was perfect! Our waitress was so nice and patient with us because it was our first time there, and we asked questions about the sushi menu. The atmosphere, the food, and the service are all great! Went for a quick late lunch and my daughter ordered a specialty roll and i ordered the 2 roll lunch special. . . while the service and restaurant itself was nice, the rolls were just 'ok' to me - pretty fishy tasting. My daughter expected so much more, flavor-wise, from her specialty and more expensive roll so she was disappointed. Not sure if we will return again since we are big-time sushi people. . . it may have just been the time of day, but time will tell. read more

Brilliant first experience this New Year's weekend at Koi Sushi. I arrived for lunch and was the first patron of the day (or so I told myself). I'd driven by many times but the day before the restaurant finally caught my eye. Prior reviews gave many props, so I figured why not? Best decision! My server was very polite and checked in with me several times during my experience. I ordered the steak teriyaki (medium) bento box which came with soup OR salad (I went with the salad). Soup options are miso or just clear. My bento came with sushi (4), veggies, gyoza, and white rice. You can see from my photo the portion size was just right. I didn't have to ask for chopsticks as they were readily supplied. Not sure if low sodium soy sauce is available, but I will assume so. The food was excellent and plenty of ginger was available for my sushi, which I appreciate. The steak was perfectly cooked with a sauce (hoisin?) featuring sesame seeds. The gyoza, upon first inspection, looked a little too cooked but that first bite turned out to be a delight. Nice and crunchy on the outside and hot on the inside. Separate gyoza sauce was also provided. This delicious meal, plus a soda, came out to $16. I have every intention of becoming a (not so) Koi regular. And with Happy Hour specials available on Sundays at 4:30p, I may just return tomorrow. read more

To save you time if you don't want to read the whole review...We highly recommend eating here and we will be back! Started out with a glass of plum wine which was a generous pour and very good. Then we had a seaweed salad which was a very generous portion and also very good. The Shrimp Shu Mai was EXCELLENT! Loved it. There was a sushi roll that is pictured on the menu but not listed on the menu (Fire something)...got it and it was very good.) Also for rolls, we ordered the Butterfly Roll, and the Black Pearl. Our favorite was the Black Pearl but would order the other two again as well. For dessert we ordered the fried Oreos which the server described as "there is nothing healthy about them." He was correct, nothing healthy but AWESOME! Favorite sushi restaurant as far as the food. The decor is fine for casual dining, but is not a fine dining atmosphere but the food is outstanding. read more

I've been on a big sushi kick lately. I was originally supposed to order from another place but their online ordering wasn't working. I'm pretty glad it wasn't. This sushi was ridiculously good! The Cajun was very well-prepared. I believe it was shrimp, but the flavors were incredible. The Mexican was very good, too. I have an allergy to casein, so I didn't know there was cream cheese in it (be warned all you dairy-free folk). They should probably have that listed on the online ordering menu. I usually get it prepared with shrimp, avocado and some kind of mayo. This was way better than all of those. I definitely recommend Koi. Everything tasted fresh! read more

Tried this for the first time tonight - food was ordered via Uber eats. Food was very tasty, however portion size was really inappropriate. Rolls were cut to six thin pieces (less than a finger width). The fillings were also poorly portioned. Given our experience with many other sushi restaurants within our area, this restaurant represents a very poor value in comparison. We will not be returning. read more

Since moving to central Florida I've struggled to find a good sushi spot, but Koi is my go to spot now! Literally every week. The quality of their tuna is so good and the consistency of my order is always so on point. I love the Cajun roll and then my boyfriend and I will customize specific tuna and salmon rolls to our liking. The staff is very friendly and make calling in the to-go order super easy (even with complicated orders). I definitely recommend them! Also, I'm very picky with how I like tuna and as I stated above their quality is SO good. read more

Nice looking interior. Waitress was super friendly and attentive. Miso, nice and hot. Right amount of salt. Conch nigiri, could have been a bit more fresh. A lot of spring of the meat was missing. There was small cuts into the other one for whatever reason. Godzilla roll was nice. Good blend. The dynamite roll seemed very muddied. None of the fish really stood out from each other. The roll could have used more rice as I could really see the nori under. read more

First off the staff here is very friendly. They also do a good job with their pandemic safety measures. But most importantly the food is very good. The miso soup was very flavorful. The order of garlic edamame was tasty and plentiful. We really enjoyed the Lava Roll and the Rock N' roll. They have a good mix of traditional and original sushi rolls. This is one of our favorite sushi restaurants in Orlando. read more

Fresh quality sushi!! The best sushi restaurant we have found in Oviedo and actually Orlando as a whole. (We are from Texas and have high standards for food.) Sushi chefs, Teddy and Sam, were great!!! We had the deep sea roll, dynamite roll and maguro. The deep sea roll was amazing and the Maguro melted in our mouth. This place is a hidden gem. We used to go to this location when it was Yuki Hana so we decided to try it out. Our server recognized us from when we used to come in when it was Yuki Hana, so that was nice we had her as a server. I ordered the delicious sashimi sampler, beef yakisoba and beef teriyaki sushi. It was all super delicious and the service was wonderful! I highly recommend it to anyone who really loves sushi or just Japanese food. We will definitely be regulars for sure. read more

Been waiting for my uber eats order for 2 hours. Paid for priority and they keep pushing the order back. Wish I new if food was good but they are obviously prioritizing people on the restaurant over delivery orders instead of filling orders as they come. Bad business and won't try again. read more

Me and my family have owned/managed numerous Japanese restaurant, but this one takes a special place in our hearts. My husband and I both worked in the restaurant industry for years. We know what it's like when the kitchen gets slammed, and we had absolutely no problem being patient. About 30 minutes later, our food came out, but we were missing two pieces of octopus sushi and the freshly ground wasabi we paid extra for. We told the food runner right away. We didn't think it was a big deal. These types of mistakes happen all the time at restaurants. About 10 minutes later, the wasabi showed up, but still no octopus. We asked again and were told it was coming. Another 15 minutes went by. We were really enjoying everything else, so we figured we'd order another roll while we waited. Over the next 20 minutes, several employees stopped by our table to ask how everything was, and every single time we mentioned we were still waiting on part of our order. That's when one of the servers explained that the missing octopus had gone to the back of the sushi line and we'd have to wait our turn because that was their policy. I'm sorry... what? This wasn't something we decided to add later. It was part of our original order that never made it to the table. A mistake should never go to the back of the line. The part that really didn't make sense was that the second roll (the one we ordered 25 minutes later) came out BEFORE the missing octopus. So if everything is truly made in the order it's received, how did that happen? After working in restaurants for so many years, I can honestly say I've never seen a place handle a missed item this way. If part of an order gets forgotten, you make it immediately and complete the table's meal. You don't tell the customer to keep waiting while every new order gets made first. At that point, we didn't even care about the octopus anymore. It was the principle of it. Instead of simply fixing the mistake, we were expected to accept it, and when we questioned it, we were basically told, "That's our policy." Maybe the waitress forgot to ring it in. Maybe management really does expect forgotten items to go to the back of the line. I honestly don't know which is true, but neither one is a great answer. It's such a shame because the food really was excellent. We walked in excited to find a new favorite sushi restaurant. We walked out disappointed, not because of the missing octopus, but because of how the situation was handled.

I started off with the Tom Yum Goong (Shrimp in a house spicy lemongrass broth with onions, cilantro, and mushrooms). The broth was so light and herbal, with a nice lemongrass zing. Mushrooms were the main player in terms of bite and chew here, and they were delicious. Loved this soup. We also had the Thai Fish Cakes (Deep-fried fish patties with red curry paste, kaffir lime leaf, and thin sliced long green bean, house recipe spicy and sweet tangy dipping sauce). Amazing. Crisp exterior with a moist, curry-forward interior that was fishy, but not too fishy. Perfect for dipping in that balanced sauce. For my main, I had my favorite Thai dish, the Phad Se-Ew (Wide rice noodle stir-fried with broccoli, carrot, egg and black pepper in mild soy-garlic seasoning). These noodles are So good. They're wide and hold the sauce really well. They have a good chew to them. And they were inundated with nice, crunchy veggies. I added chicken, and I got a ton of it. Very good entree. I also got the chance to try the Lemongrass Signature Curry (Shrimp, squid, scallop in special-recipe, stir-fried curry with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, bell pepper, onion, carrot, and egg). The luscious curry, the perfectly cooked seafood, yes even the scallop, and the myriad veg made this dish a stunner. The only think I needed was more white rice on the side. For dessert, we got the Durian Ice Cream. Yes, you read that correctly. And while you could smell it, it wasn't smelly. All of the steps between the durian being grown in another country and becoming my ice cream in Oviedo had teased out the horrible smell and left only a slight funk and a very smooth, actually delightful little bowl of ice cream. I had a salted lemonade and it tasted like something you would get in Thailand. They crush the whole lemon including the seeds into the drink. It is very good! I forgot to take a photo of it...

We discovered this family-owned Japanese restaurant about a year ago, and we've been hooked ever since. Their lunch specials are our go-to, offering wonderful prices that are hard to beat in the area. On top of that, the quality of the sushi is exceptional and consistently impressive. One of the highlights of our visits is seeing the little brother in action. He usually works the front desk, helps the servers, talks to guests, and takes orders. He's really cool and handles everything with such ease and professionalism. It's clear he's destined for greatness someday! My go to sushi restaurant is Fujiyama sushi on university in dean and miyako sushi in Oviedo now I have another favorite restaurant in Oviedo koi sushi the sushi is amazing very fresh and the ramen is def my favorite I will def be back to try their curry katsu and the staff is amazing highly recommend this place!!!! read more

I always love to order there! Fresh sushi, good prices but I really think they should ask us first if we would like the soup and salad, I always take out (not dine in) and only when I get home I remember that they send extra food that we dont like, so maybe its a good thing to improve. read more
