Actually pretty disappointed by this place. I ordered the salmon rolls and while the first picture looks like it's very fresh, it's not. You can see on the next picture that the avocado is blackish and that must've been a result of old avocado or avocado that's been sitting there for a while. We ordered their kuro ramen in mild, shoyu ramen, and crunch roll via ubereats. The soups for the ramens were yummy, flavorful, and not overly salty. Noodles were soft and chewy. Our biggest complaint is that give very little food (noodles, veggies, and meat). We were left still hungry after eating the ramen. The crunch roll was okay, but it was mainly rice and crabmeat with a tiny piece of shrimp tempura. It was my first time having crunch roll that didn't have any avocado inside, so it was a little strange. All in all, the ramen broths were good, but i'll have to add extra noodles if I ever come here again, and the crunch roll was just okay. read more

We came here after going to the pumpkin patch at cal poly Pomona since there was not too many options nearby. Saturday was slow day to them I guess since most students went out or out of town. We didn't have any problems of getting tables for our big party. They don't have any severs anymore. You place your orders at the cashier and they will bring out your food. The food portion is huge and taste well (we ordered a spicy ramen, a Soyuz ramen, a basic udon, some dumplings and endamame). I got the ramen to-go, and it didn't taste as good as I would imagine it being fresh. But with the circumstances I thought it was pretty good. The packaging is super cute having the soup and solids separated all in one big cup was very convenient. I got the spicy tonkotsu and the soup was really tasty and not too heavy. Koji Ramen recently opened in the same location as a failed "Maka Ramen" restaurant, which I also liked, but had really slow service. Well, Koji has solved that issue. A couple co-workers and I stopped-in for lunch today and were seated right way, received our drinks pretty quickly, and didn't wait more than 10 minutes for our ramen and gyoza. I tried the Butter Corn Ramen, which had a rich and creamy broth and nice taste. My co-workers tried the Miso Ramen, one spicy and one regular. Both tasted great! The noodles were thick and a little chewy. Some may not like them, but I thought they were good and filling. Now for the best part, with my Yelp "check-in", we received a free order of Gyoza (4 pcs), which were deep fried, crispy, and yummy! I have been eyeballing this new ramen spot for the whole week and finally decided to try it. The restaurant is spacious and has a bar as well as regular seating area. There appeared to be 2 servers manning the whole floor. I honestly felt a bit invisible sitting at the end of the bar. The servers were always facing the tables and did not look over to me when I had to order and when I was finished with my meal. Nevertheless, they were very friendly. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with extra spicy, 3 pieces shrimp, and 4 piece gyoza(Free with check-in). The noodles are as other reviewers mentioned: thick, chewy, and slightly hard, but it pairs so well with the thick broth. I love the noodles. If you've ever had tsukemen out in LA area, this is similar. The broth itself tastes like the generic flavor profile popular out here in the Rowland Heights area, which is creamy and sweet, but lacks the depth of celebrated authentic tonkotsu ramen. I don't dislike it in local style, but it always makes the broth just okay. The gyoza weren't really what I saw on the menu either. Instead of pan fried, these were deep fried. I would not order them again. The fried ebi(shrimp) was good. For ramen out here locally, Koji's is pretty good. It is hard to find this type of noodle without driving 25miles out, so I will be back. A nice little business nearby Cal Poly, Koji Ramen gets the job done. They have a simple menu with items ranging from appetizers to dessert and of course, ramen. Our server was really nice and attentive, making sure we were enjoying our experience along the way. Pricing is fair and I can honestly say that I got what I paid for. I ordered the Veggie Ramen and I enjoyed every bit of it. I didn't have to wait too long for it to come out and the serving itself is fairly large. I also had the Fried Squid Legs, Gyoza, and Tuna Crispy Rice - all wonderful additions to the ramen. They also have Macaron Ice Cream, which is definitely the cherry on top. When I ordered and I had to go back to my car to get some thing, I told the waitress that took my order if it's ok if I came back because I needed to go to my car. What a jewel you can find around the area. You would not imagine finding a decent authentic ramen spot in Pomona. I happened to pass by after exiting on Temple from 57 freeway one late night and needed to find a place to eat. I saw Koji Ramen's light and we went in. I was pleasantly surprised and amazed. I am a ramen fan so I have been to many different ramen joints all over the places. One of my favorite is the "noodle" from Koji. I can be wrong but to me it tastes like the hand-made noodles with the chewy texture and you can taste the freshness of the noodles. The soup flavor is not too greasy like many other ramen places but just the right taste. I become a regular customer here since and I mostly order the butter corn Tonkatsu ramen. You can get a free 4 pieces gyoza with Yelp check-in. You can choose either vegetable or pork. I mostly pick pork. It tastes delicious. You can also do add on with minimum extra cost . My son loves their fried rice add on along with his ramen. I think their spicy tuna roll also taste decent as well. read more
