I'm not how this place gets such good reviews. Maybe we're unlucky. Service was sweet, but slow and not attentive. Food took forever to come out. Menu items have 'classic' names but not 'classic' ingredients, so read those descriptions carefully! Asked for appetizer to be brought with the main, which they said was okay, but it was brought as an appetizer. So we had to wait even longer for our 'main' as they never came to take the appetizer dish away. Reuben was so wet the bread fell apart and I had to eat it with a knife and fork. Up charge for sweet potato fries (which I didn't mind) but only received a grand total of 12 or 15 fries next to the sandwich. Pizza was incredibly poor - it felt like they had premade cheese and tomato pizzas, added more ingredients and heated again. That might not be the case although it inexplicably took a while for a basic pizza. Also sloppy in the middle, again, had to use a knife and fork. Asked if they had Mac and cheese and they said yes, on the adult menu. So we ordered. It took a long time and was a tiny, side portion when it arrived. Saw it immediately and had to order a second one straight off. Second one came out later and the size was even smaller than the first, as the side bowl was like half full. If they had told us it was a side, we would have ordered two right off. Asked for cold brownie with vanilla ice cream, which they said was okay, but made us wait for ages and then served it hot with ice cream and other additions we didn't ask for. Ordered chocolate ice cream and they brought vanilla, only to tell us that they don't have chocolate ice cream. If they had said that when we ordered, we could have ordered something else. Wanted to order desserts but everything had taken so long that we didn't want to be there any longer as they were closing. The large menu should have been my clue it wasn't going to be good. I've been ordering from this place for several times since I moved in the area, mostly from Uber or Door Dash. When I saw the opportunity that Groupon was offering a deal, I bought a voucher to order food at a later time. What a way to support your local business. When I placed my order over the phone I headed to the restaurant and waited for my to go order. I was informed that it was only for dine in only. What restaurant forces it's customers to eat inside during a pandemic? Every other restaurant encourages your business in person or to go. I ordered home fries and they brought me fruit asking if that was ok since the potatoes had butter. Again the fruit as in the past was very fresh. Love this place. It's far from glamorous on the inside or exterior, but every time I have eaten here the food is always great. And the wait staff is always phenominal. I have two favorites I always go between here, and that is the country fried steak and the chicken fried chicken. (Obviously neither are healthy - but you don't come here for healthy). I have to say that the chicken fried chicken is probably one of the best I've ever had. It's always cooked perfectly and never over done. Chicken is always tender and pair it with their breading and gravy, you won't be disappointed. I always match up both meals with the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese because really, what else would you eat with comfort food like that. I never leave still hungry. I've also done the breakfast for dinner here before which was well, just breakfast, as well as the brooklyn doger sandwich. The Dodger is ok size wise, it's pretty plain but to be honest the hot corned beef and pastrami kind of hit the spot if you're looking for a serious flavor punch. They did have a groupon for a while so I recommend if its your first time to take advantage of that if it's still available. And dont forget to finish your meal with some cake! read more

I am a resident of Lewisville and I have been coming to eat at this place for a long time with my family and maybe I had not paid attention but today I check my charges and I see that they charged me $.59 for a hot sauce and $.70 for ranch dressing, which I consider it to be a complement to my food. I can afford them and I did but it looks miserable to me and doesn't speak well for the place. It's a shame today I'm leaving with a bad taste in my mouth. It is a matter of perception, but when a family eats in a restaurant they look for quality, service, good food and a fair price and you know that you will pay for that. But as a customer I prefer that my dish costs $.50 more and includes the dressings and not that I have to pay for it. Check what foods people ask for extras with and add a few cents to the dishes that apply, that will not make people upset and you will have customers who will come back to you. I've been ordering from Korner Cafe every weekend since this stupid COVID19 hit and they have yet to disappoint. The selection of breakfast items is outstanding and every item I've received has been delicious. The breakfast quesadillas were particularly surprising. Bacon is cooked nice and crispy. We stopped here for breakfast after an overnight work trip to Dallas. Service was good only issue there was a minor language barrier caused some confusion, Otherwise was good. I ordered the kitchen sink scrambler with a coffee and my partner got a two chocolate chip pancakes with a large hot chocolate. My food was good I really enjoyed the hash browns biscuit and gravy but the eggs were a little over cooked and the coffee tasted burnt. My partners meal was a whole fiasco. Pancakes that tasted like they were out of a box all the chips inside the pancake were in the middle, the chocolate chips themselves tasted cheap, and their hot chocolate tasted like basic nestlé box hot chocolate. This review is based totally on the omelettes... if you could call them that. That was a fried egg crepe at best. They literally took 3 eggs, mixed them up, and threw them on a flat grill and fried them so it was like a large flat dry fried egg crepe or tortilla, and then rolled it up with a square of cheese in the middle that was not even spread or melted. Being new to Lewisville (moved in yesterday), I am looking forward to trying some new local small businesses for eating out. This is not the restaurant for me. I arrived at 2pm and noticed they closed in an hour. This is a workable timeframe for me. I was slightly overwhelmed with the large and varied menu and settled on a fried pickle appetizer, chicken fried steak, and a peach dessert. I ordered water as a drink. 30 minutes after I ordered, I was still waiting. No one had come to check on me or even refill my drink. I looked around and realized that the restaurant was emptying out and I still had not received any sort of contact with any staff. At this point my waitress came over and started telling me that the kitchen must have lost my order and she was going to put it in right now. When she opened her order book I saw the ticket with my order was still in her book. I told her I was going to leave. I tried to pay for the food I had ordered so the restaurant wasn't out any money and she started arguing with me about how she was going to pay for my appetizer. I just wanted to pay and leave so I could eat. I have been moving for 2 days and just wanted food, so I asked to speak to the manager. (I know... Kinda a Karen move but come on). She walked over and started having a conversation with another waitress. I waited another couple minutes and left because it was obvious to me at this point that I am not going to resolve this issue in the restaurant. I did call the restaurant and speak with the manager who offered to have my food prepared to go. Seriously? I went to a sit down restaurant for a reason. She had apparently been told that my meal was missing the appetizer because the kitchen had messed up. I informed her that I did not receive any food and she was shocked. The kitchen said they hadn't received my order at all. She did offer to have my meal prepared tomorrow (Monday) Come on Dude. Get it together. I wish I could review the food. But all I can review is the non existent service level. read more

I also asked for crispy bacon and hash browns and they were perfect. Our coffee was always topped off to keep it hot which I love as well. Average service. Well below average food. Came here to try out the crab cake Benedict and French toast waffle both of which were not good. The Benedict's were drowned in a supposed hollandaise sauce and the Benedict's themselves were overdone as evident in the picture I attached.
