Updating from 4 to 5 stars. we have visited several times now and its always wonderful. issues with staff have seemed to be addressed. The place is always clean and we are helped quickly to our seats. we have had the same waitress a few times and i apologize i cant remember her name. but she is very polite and professional. always smiling. it seems the staff knows many regulars which gives a more safe and homey feel to the restaurant. It gives a sense they really care and want to make the experience a good one. FYI they have pretty nice bathrooms and they DO have a baby changing station. They also have highchairs. What i want to point out for management/owner: We have a toddler. sometimes that means picky tastes. or what was a favorite food yesterday is now mortal enemy number one. its so nice that the staff is understanding when an order of fruit turns into ok quick we need corn and fries QUICK! lol. i can tell there are real parents working in the kitchen who understand. Great first impression. Expected to see the same old menu items from a cafe but it appears that someone with a pallet has opened this cafe. You can get a number of items not normally found on cafe menus and it appears that they have someone that can execute them. I had the standard eggs and ham and it was good. My wife had the open faced breakfast sandwich with spinach, tomatoes, artichoke hearts on toast and eggs with holandaise sauce. It was very good. Service is still getting their feet under themselves, they seem capable and friendly so I look forward to going back and trying their dinner/lunch items. After several visits from breakfast to dinner, we have come to a decision: Breakfast is the best. We have yet to be disappointed during our breakfast visits. Good food and service. However, the service and quality of the food falls short for lunch and dinner. During our last dinner visit we ordered my son the chicken fingers. When we cut the chicken in half, all the breeding came off. Fries were too under cooked and oily. My wife's Reuben was made with too little meat leaving the sandwich tasting of tart apples and sauerkraut. Worst Reuben yet and this is her go to sandwich everywhere it is offered. The service was ok up to the point of paying the check. Longest wait for change in a long time. This was at a time when he restaurant was not busy at all. read more

Went to this restaurant on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! I love restaurants that have a cozy family feel to them and this one hit the spot. Service was very friendly. A lot of the customers seemed to know the employees, which is always a good sign. The food was really good too! I got the chicken friend steak and it was delicious. My girlfriend got the fried catfish and she enjoyed that dish also. I will definitely return again soon! read more

These are really nice folks but I gotta say, this is as low-grade as it gets. I don't want to get into too much detail, but it was totally run-of-the-mill. Farmer Brothers-style coffee, super-greasy hashbrowns (the first order was so old and crusty i asked for replacement browns, which they gave me, and they were hot and fresh, but literally tasted only like the butter-flavored hydrogenated oil they doused them in), and uninteresting bacon. Buddy got an omelet and said, "I order this meal every day back in Santa Fe, but it doesn't taste like *this*." Totally low-priced yet not worth all 1000 pennies. Sorry folks! Found this little gem thanks to Yelp on a random Saturday morning. They were pretty busy for breakfast - it became obvious why once we tried the food. We ordered an omelette, which came with an enormous amount of sides. It was warm, delicious, and cooked perfectly. We also had a Belgian waffle, which was one of the best we've tried. This was our first time here. Casual and clean. I had oatmeal with sautéed apples on top. So much better than the generic raisins (which were also there), but the apples added a nice touch. So it was an off hour but a whole group of servers gathered together yakking away in our presence was annoying especially since the time it took for one lone cook to make our meals was way too long. We got there by about 3 pm and our sandwich and a salad didn't arrive until 3:45 so that's hard to justify. The Brooklyn Dodger was warm but lacking in meat. The grilled veggies was an upgrade and those tasted good as squash, onions, green peppers, and tomatoes are fresh right now but again the amount was just under satisfying. Hubby's Cobb salad was described as being just okay and nothing special. My unsweetened tea was drank down but I couldn't flag down a single server since the horde of them wouldn't make eye contact. Finally a bus boy helped me. Hubby's got refilled with sweet tea unfortunately. How difficult is it to keep track of the fact that both of us had unsweetened tea? Not sure how this place has 4 star reviews. Maybe we hit them on a bad day. It was not busy at all but the service was incredibly slow. Food took forever, and was cold. Coffee was lukewarm. Took forever to get the check. We ordered breakfast and it was average at best, even if it had actually been hot, which it wasn't. We all agreed that the eggs smelled strange so we opted to not eat them. We eat a lot of eggs so we're pretty sure about the suspicious smell. Server was sweet but not very attentive. Worst customer service experience we've ever had at a restaurant. It's our first time there and we are a little overwhelmed by the menu. Everything you could possibly think of is on there. We were there specifically for breakfast. We all found the organization of the menu to be a little wonky so it was taking us a little while. The waitress must have approached us three times in five minutes asking if we were ready. We felt extremely rushed. I guess I would have understood if the place was packed, but there were maybe 10 people in the restaurant. My mom was with us and having had the gastric bypass surgery she asked if she would be able to order off the childrens menu which generally is not an issue. The waitress says, "no" and starts to walk away. So my mom says, "so what? Am I supposed to order the big portion and have you guys throw most of it away? I can't eat that much." She storms off saying she has to talk to the manager. She leaves and goes to join a group of women at the front just talking. She comes back and says my mom can order off the children's menu but it will be an extra $2.25 on top of the children's menu price. It was then ultimately cheaper to ORDER something off adult menu or a la carte. This pissed her off and she was ready to go. We stayed.... The food was not good. Everything we got was either over cooked or under cooked. After we got our food the waitress never came back to see how we were doing or to see if we needed refills. This made us all tense and frustrated. When she came back with the bill I asked about the yelp check-in offer. She said they don't take that. She refused to honor it. She also said they don't take Groupons. Ummm?? Terrible terrible experience. We won't return. read more

We walked in and it was a very calm and quiet environment. Not many peopl were dining in as We came at an awkward time. We were promplty greeted and seated at a clean and well kept booth. The menu is extensive and diverse. They had everything you could want. It was a little overwhelming, but not a big deal. Our waitress was kind and polite.
