We also had Avocado toast which was served on a toasted 9grain bread covered with a spring mix of greens and a drizzle of balsamic dressing. It was delicious. Been a regular since early 2021 but they lost my business. Food is great but service has declined... They've been understaffed since Covid but it's probably because turnover is so high. Also, servers are unprofessional. If you have no problem with patrons coming in after you but being served before you, give them your business. To me, it tasted like a Salisbury steak TV dinner. The meat was dense and tough, definitely can't cut it with a fork, had to use the knife with a sawing motion. Brown gravy was just ok. The potato-mac salad is not prepared local style (best foods mayo, egg, etc) but had a strong taste of mustard and vinegar, so I didn't care for it at all. But that's just a preference... my hubby's from the south and he liked it. Won't be ordering this again... but won't stop coming either because their pork chops are still the BEST!!! read more

Went here the other day on a recommendation from a friend, wow, we're they right. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the whole experience left us all feeling really full and really good. I had the omelet, ham, bacon, cheese, onion, and bell pepper. Made perfectly and the hash browns were to die for, crunchy outside, soft in the middle, and NOT greasy! The wait staff was on point throughout the entire meal and made the dining experience even better. And the size of the pancake...ohhhh boy, you'll be surprised, I know I was. Bf got the pork cutlet loco moco and comes with corn bread, wheat or white toast. They give so much cutlet that the bf was stuffed and couldn't finish the whole thing, which never happens. I got the kalua pork loco moco and asked for over medium eggs and got over easy. It comes with corn bread, wheat/white toast and I ordered the corn bread. All the food came out except my corn bread so I had to ask the waitress for it. Not even a minute later I got my corn bread, which probably means they have some corn bread sitting on the side. We were about halfway done when the waitress came by and served us with our check. This restaurant is busy so I guess they just want to be fast and efficient, but having the check given when we didn't ask for it kind of seems like we're being rushed. #1 for 2019 This is country living. Easy to get to with sufficient parking. Located in a short strip mall that includes Subway and KFC. It was early morning heading into a long day. Decided to get the standard ham and cheese omelette. A good test to get an idea how the food may be. It was my first time here. The coffee was nice. Just your regular cup of java. The omelette came. It didn't excite me. The ham was diced and hard. Could barely taste the cheese. Was it cheddar? It was also salty. I ate the whole thing with the plain toast and left the 2 scoops of rice alone. Staff is super friendly checking on you several times through out the service. Place is clean and pleasant to sit in. We were here for a meeting lasting 4 hours. Didn't get kicked out, wasn't rushed and laid down a nice tip for the comfort. I enjoyed the staff very much but I can't say that about the food. It was just my first time. Loved the interior of the restaurant as well, very cozy, lots of roosters on the wall lol. Big pieces of Portuguese sausage and the kimchee was not overwhelming. My mom got the loco moco. This tasted like a pretty basic loco moco with regular Packet brown gravy. We also ordered a ube French toast. This looked very good but gave off more of a coconut taste than ube flavor. The restaurant was very nice and clean and the wait staff was friendly. I ordered some food, but unfortunately, I didn't like it. When I brought this to the server's attention, she kept insisting that she had to pay for it, as if that would make any difference to me. I've been to many places where, if you don't like something, they offer you other options, instead of just telling you who has to pay for it. Frankly, I don't care who pays for it, as it was taken off the bill anyway. However, this whole ordeal has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won't be going back. Even though I enjoyed my first visit, I can't tolerate poor customer service. My boyfriend and I come here every weekend. It is our favorite Sunday morning ritual. He gets the sampler special and I get the 2 farm fresh eggs. Their Portuguese sausage is my favorite and yes it's gonna come out oily this is basically a diner so if you want some fancy place this is not it. This place will serve you a home cooked meal and you'll feel comfort the moment you walk into the door. Their pancakes are fluffy and so good I always steal a good chunk of my boyfriend's pancake in trade for my toast lol. You can do a yelp check in and see how busy the restaurant is. We come around 11 am and it's not too busy and we just walk right in! Truly a great feeling having this place so close by. The place has improved in certain aspects from when we came here when they first opened and was serving hard rice. Pros: Big Portions, very big portions. Excellent grilled corn bread that can somewhat compare to Livestock Taverns corn bread. Nice texture on the hash browns. Cons: Not enough help to service customers after orders are taken. We shouldn't have to flag people down to ask for water, coffee, a box, or even condiments. No one came back to inquire how our order was and to be charged 3.95 for bottomless coffee with no one coming to ask me if I wanted a refill is unacceptable. This is also the first place, I ever ate that charged market price, for corned beef hash patties. It would've been ok if local beef was used, but I was shocked when they said they used slabs from Costco. The French toast was soaked way to long in egg and tasted like soggy mush on the inside.
