SOO great! I've been following this place on FB for a while, I always see the deals posted but just haven't gone yet. I called on a sunday afternoon to ask if they had any deals, they didn't. Staff was super nice over the phone, I decided to place an order online. Their online ordering system was very easy to navigate. We got the 2 snow crab, 13 shrimp, potato, sausage, and a egg (that was wild but hey, whatevs. It was a boiled egg) . And a side order of corn and fried okra. We did a pick up for 6pm (ordered around 4pm) food was hot and ready. The okra was BOMB! Not greasy at all, I usually get it at Ezelles and I feel like they are greasy. The corn was great. You all are sleeping on this place!! We came here for dinner last night and we each ordered a different platter. The place had one other couple in it but was super clean. Couldn't even smell the food being prepared. It's a hidden spot in a tiny little strip mall. The service took roughly 45 minutes however that doesn't take away from the food. I'd wait a little bit longer for it. The crawfish was seasoned to perfection. The butter and old bay was flavorful and throughout. They were not skimpy on the butter. The shrimp was cooked perfect and the egg was not over done. I love that the potatoes were cut into smaller pieces. Even the kids grilled cheese was elevated and the grand baby was pleased. Mehhhh Their fish strips were fine. Their signature tartar / fry sauce is pretty good. I really disliked their calamari though. It's cut very thick, the batter is thick and oily. I just ate here and ordered the loaded platter, crab cakes, and coleslaw. They didn't have the pasta today because their supplier didn't bring their sauce, but that's okay because just what I ordered was more then ample for my pleasantly plump self and husband. The crab is snow crab legs. I know people around here are all about the king and dungeness as based on what is available in this area and our close proximity to Alaska, but most the rest of the nation uses snow crabs. They were cooked properly with a decent amount of spices. The shrimp was delicious. I ordered a butter flight at the suggestion of another review and again, was not disappointed. The extra spicy was not as spicy as I would like but I'm Asian and we want to feel the pain as we swallow followed by our tears. The place was a little cold when we came in but they had just opened shop. I would suggest when they've been in business for a while to upgrade the thermostat to programmable or WiFi so they can start it up before they even arrive. The only problem I have with this is the butter congeals and the food cools too quickly. Otherwise, it wasn't uncomfortable to sit in. The decor was... well, they just got there. I'm sure over time the decor will improve. Also, would have been great if they could get their beer and wine license because a nice cold beer would make that delicious butter go down nicely. All in all, I REALLY suggest if you like crab boils and crab, try this place out. The price is not surprising for this economy, but in comparison to at home cooking might make you sigh. My first impression of King Krabz is Low Budget, they served us the platter with cheap utensils and paper plates. The food was good. I loved the fried calamari the sauce was super good. The shrimp and snow crab platter was good we got the OG seasoning because my mom only likes mild flavors. The spicy sauce was not really hitting on the spice meter. The customer service was efficient. My dislikes about this restaurant were they don't have a bathroom or sink to wash your hands after eating a crab boil, they also didn't provide gloves so it was messy. Small little restaurant, as you enter, there's a cashier desk where you would order your food and pay once they've entered your order. Gives you a number and you go find a table, they'll bring you the food once it's ready. They have 8 butter sauces to chose from. You're able to get all the sauces on the side, called a butter flight, which is pretty awesome. We ordered * #7 comes with 5 snow crabs, 40 shrimps, 4 corns, 4 sausage, 4 eggs and potatoes. Cajun (mild) they two other spice level; spicy or extra spicy. * Cajun pasta (spicy) with fried shrimp * Crab cakes (comes with 2) * 3 extra eggs (hard boil) * Butter flight * 2 cokes * 2 water * 1 Gatorade Total: 195.75 w/ tip First came the pasta, oh my goodness, it was delicious. Creamy white sauce with bow tie pasta, came with garlic bread, lemon and the star of the dish were the deep fried shrimp. Perfectly fried and great amount of flavor in that shrimp. Then came the crab cakes. I'm a super lover of crab cakes and I had to get it once I saw it on the menu. Now the size of these babies are huge. Perfect crunch. That sauce though! Get extra of the sauce or dip it in the butter. BOMB. The main course came lastly and it was big. It made all of us full. The bottom layer are cut up potatoes, layers on top were the seafood, corn, egg, and sausage. All soaked in that Cajun butter. Now I'm sure everyone seen the picture they have on their page. I was expecting those snow crab size. What we got were a lot smaller. And the spicy wasn't spicy. That was a bummer BUT the flavor was on point. Everything else was amazing!! People are not lying when they say the crab legs look like spider legs and to top off the tiny crab they only give you plastic forks, no crab cutters, no regular scissors or no regular forks. We got the loaded platter and it did come with 2 full sausages and tons of potatoes but nothing can make up for the barely noticeable crab legs. We also got the crab cakes which were a little burnt but good and the fried fish and shrimp platter which were both very good. We ordered 2 specials and 2 extra crab clusters for a total of 165. The extra cluster was market for 15 per. There was quite a few orders before me so she said it would be about 30 -40 mins. However she offered to walk it out to the car..which was nice. However my hubby was antsy and made me go in to grab it. It was ready in time. I will say by the time we got home it was like warm BUT I can say that this is the best crab boil I have had since we've moved here. 1st .. the shrimp are clean and shelled besides the tail. 2nd .. the butter flavors are . 3rd while we didn't get potatoes as they were out it was still good and for the price I can only imagine how it would have tasted. I was actually full. They also give you an entire sausage link. Other places say 5 sausages and it's literally a sausage but sliced and you get 5 pieces of that one sausage. Customer service was so poor with such a lack of communication, you should be embarrassed. I asked for a rag to clean the table, I was side-eyed for asking such a request! When asked when they'd be ready for use, the waitress replied with "she didn't know how to clean them" and couldn't give us a timeline.
