I love this place. The atmosphere, music, food, service but tonight was the first time sitting at the bar. I have never, ever seen a bar ran so clean in my life. I been to my share of bars. The food was amazing! We had the fried calamari and the pepper shrimp as an appetizer and it was sooo delicious. It came fresh and well portioned for two. Our server, Lloyd, was very friendly and courteous. He stayed on top of our table and made sure everything came out in time and promptly. The homemade fruit punch was also pretty tasty. Lastly, for our entree, we had oxtail with rice and peas and jerk pork with rice and peas, and a side of the mac and cheese. The oxtail was super delicious and tender (literally falling off the bone). The jerk pork was tasty as well, although it wasn't spicy like i thought it would've been. The rice and peas was good and portioned perfectly. The mac and cheese was probably my least favorite thing... I feel like it was lacking something. Otherwise, it was a great experience! The even have a separate section I'm assuming is for private dinners or parties... they had soft rnb playing in the background which was nice. I went with 2 girlfriends on a Saturday afternoon. We had a 2 pm reservation. We were greeted by a friendly handsome young man who showed us to a very nice table in a large restaurant. The restaurant was NOT crowded or very busy. Our server came to our table unenthusiastically, never told us her name and seemed as if we were bothering her from doing nothing. After taking our our order, we waited a long time before the warm, not hot food arrived. Because it was lunch time we ordered quite a few appetizers and made our own meals from them. We had to ask for bigger plates as they only gave us plates for appetizers. Our server barely checked on us but we were lucky to grab people walking by if we needed anything. The food was ok, nothing spectacular in my opinion but there was enough for the 3 of us to share. We did request to go boxes for the leftovers which is usually a sign that we are ready to leave. After waiting a while for the containers, they were finally brought to us in a monotone voice of HERE YOU GO. For 3 people, our bill was $180.00, which is about average because it also included multiple appetizers and drinks. It included a tip that was not well deserved. Chef Chrissy has done it again!!! Went here for early dinner on a Saturday night with my fiancé and his mom. I absolutely love the ambiance. We sat in what is probably the comfiest booth imaginable. I even asked the chef's wife, "how is it possible for people not to fall asleep right here?" The strawberry sidecar was even more delicious than I imagined. I wanna take the time to acknowledge THE MAC AND CHEESE WOW! Mac and cheese done right. Not just right. It was perfect. I didn't finish my baby kale salad with chicken so I took it home. My fiancé took his leftover jerk chicken , plantain, and coconut jasmine to go as well. When he ate the rest at home he was actually upset that he didn't get a extra order to go. We were invited for dinner at this restaurant by my sister who was a regular. upon arriving and being seated we explained that my son has food allergies and while everyone else will be eating and ordering food we brought him a slice of pizza just to be safe. my son is only 7 there was 4 of us who were going to order besides him. Well we were told he can't eat his food here. we asked to speak to the manger he said he was the manager and we can't have my son eat his pizza.Wow we have been to high end restaurants way better places all over no one has ever had an issue. We got up and left. Found an awesome Italian restaurant around the corner. They made pizza and still had no issue with my son bringing his own pizza and even offering to heat up his food for him. I am so glad it didn't work out because we sure enjoyed our dinner at the Italian restaurant and from the reviews on here looks like the food is not up to most people expectations . Came here on a Sunday night with my boy. As soon as we walked in the hostess asked us to take our hats off which we immediately did. We sat down at the high tables by the bathroom. We didn't get served for quite some time. Finally the bartender came over to us. We got the Rum punch which was really good. It was so good we ordered another. Shortly after get the second Rum punch we saw a lady walk in with a dad hat, similar to the kind of hats we were wearing.
