I brought my son in for an after-dinner sweet treat and we both were excited to see the "hot now" sign on since we drove out of our way (13 miles) to visit this location. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. We stood at the counter for a while without being greeted. When I began placing my order, the employee walked away to get gloves, then asked what I wanted even though I had just said it, so I had to repeat myself. The interaction felt curt and lacked basic courtesy, no greeting, no thank you, nothing to make us feel welcome. What stood out most was the inconsistency. When the "hot now" sign is on in Austin, customers receive a complimentary donut. We did not receive one, but the customers behind us, who placed a smaller order, were given three. (We were the only 5 customers in the store so being busy could not be the excuse.) That difference in treatment was hard to ignore and left me questioning whether we were treated differently. This experience really soured what should have been a simple, positive outing with my son. We don't eat donuts. But... Krispy Kreme has DC superhero (Batman, Superman, and Wonderwoman) donuts for a limited time. A couple of days ago my boyfriend ordered a dozen of the DC donuts for delivery. He ordered directly from the Krispy Kreme site. However, they use Doordash to deliver. The order arrived and it was three dozen freaking donuts. Not his order and none superhero, by the way. We received someone else's order. He called Krispy Kreme and the manager refunded his money. We gave the three dozen donuts away to neighbors in our apartment complex. The manager also said if we stop in, the next dozen would be on the house. We just don't have time to get there so he placed another order for delivery. They arrived in the proper box but... There were no Batman donuts and only half dozen of the DC Superhero donuts. There should have been 4 of each character (we got 3 WW and 3 Superman). Made another phone call, got another refund. Oh, side note about that first wrong delivery, one of the boxes had a missing donut! Guessing the driver ate it? It was the only box not properly sealed. I bought three dozen 1/2 glazed with the other half chocolate glazed. My second dozen was the same and my third dozen was assorted. Gave one dozen to a friend. They absolutely loved and then I took two home for my family because we never get it. Everything was wonderful service food time. The only thing that I'm not too impressed about is the price. Ordered 13 dozen donuts to be delivered on Valentines Day for a Resident event at work. Only two dozen boxes were dropped off. We spent over an hour on the phone with door dash customer service and Krispy Kreme to figure out where the 11 dozen donuts we paid for went. Eventually we were able to get in touch with a customer support representative from Krispy Kreme and had the order resent. The door dash driver just arrived with our SECOND attempt at donuts and only brought 2 donut boxes again. The door dash driver even said this time that Krispy Kreme only provided 2 boxes when we paid for 13. The donuts we did receive were not the donuts we ordered either. I understand it's Valentine's Day but this is absolutely ridiculous. I just want our donuts! Our residents are about to throw hands at this point. We got a dozen glazed to go, another single glazed, and a cinnamon sugar donut. I warmed the donuts up in the microwave for ~10 seconds and that made them really good. If they aren't warm, they just aren't great. I loved the glazed the best. I couldn't even finish the cinnamon sugar- it was just way too sweet (and I have a pretty big sweet tooth).
