Went here for breakfast and when they say you can't judge a book by it's cover nothing could be more true. When you park you see a shopping plaza and think it will be a small local place. Just another breakfast joint. You might be surprised that you have to put your name on a list and might have a 45 minute wait. But it's definitely worth the wait! The food is delicious, it's reasonable with massive portions and they have an excellent seasonal menu. I would recommend either coming with huge appetite and with multiple people because you will have a hard time choosing what fish you want because they all sound and look delicious. read more

Come early as this place gets packed for brunch time on weekends. It is smaller location hence why there is such a long wait. But onto the food. The food they give you is so much. One of my favorite breakfast places, I try to go during the week cause the weekends get crazy busy! Even this morning on a Tuesday it was almost packed. Anyway we check out some of the specials on their chalkboard outside before entering and being seated right away. Our server got our drinks orders and we both got their special brown sugar cinnamon cold brew which were delicious! The whip cream they use is super yummy and just sweet enough to give the cold brew a little hint of flavor. Can't forget about their coffee ice cubes so even when you're down to just ice left, just give it some time and you've got yourself a refill! My boyfriend always gets the same, the not-so Benedict & I tried their brisket & bacon jam sandwich which was amazing but definitely shareable, it was massive and came with a side, I got hashbrowns. We shared the banana caramel French toast, totally overdoing it but not complaining about it, the French toast was worth it! Took half of the sandwich & French toast Togo for some nice lunch later on. The waitress accidentally added something I didn't order onto the check but it was an easy fix. We had to go to Davie this morning and decided to stop at Kristof's Kafe for breakfast while in the area. My boyfriend and I both like biscuits and gravy so I was excited about the Not-So-Benedict. We started with coffee which was very good. Our waiter was pleasant and mentioned that the most popular item was the strawberry stuffed French toast. I was craving a more savory dish so i ordered the Not-So-Benedict and he ordered the biscuits & gravy. The Not-So-Benedict sounded like everything I wanted in a breakfast: biscuits AND hash browns topped with bacon, eggs and gravy. Unfortunately, the gravy lacked flavor and even had a grainy consistency like the flour hadn't been completely mixed in. The hash browns didn't have much seasoning either so this fell way short for me. I smothered my meal in hot sauce but didn't eat much being that the flavor wasn't there. If I happen to be in the area again I'd try the French toast but for $36.00 the gravy is a no-go for me. read more

Best Local Breakfast! This was my favorite spot I visited during July and my new favorite local spot. Very home feeling here Located in a very convenient shopping center. I took my mom for breakfast here since I read so many good things. We got there at around 9:30. The place was packed however they didn't even take 5 minutes to sit us... amazing. A no wait is always a plus for me. The waitress came right away. Took our orders and I want to say we didn't even wait 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Everything was exceptionally delicious Order: Shrimp and grits Steak and eggs Coffee: American coffee It's the only they have which usually I would say is a cons but it really goes with the spot. Wow, time flies! After a bad experience, I avoided Kristof's for many years. I tried it again for a weekday breakfast and lunch today. Much better experiences! There was a short wait at 12pm on a Saturday. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait and it was about 8 minutes. Kristof's hS a wide variety of options. Husband went for the old reliable Strawberry Stuffed French Toast and it was excellent. I ordered the Apple pecan salad. I liked the salad (with apples, pecans, and feta) and accompanying fat free dressing. The only negative was the chicken was dry as a bone. Service was friendly! Good breakfast and good service. Our waitress was attentive and good with giving suggestions. Their version of chicken and waffles has a different flare. It's a butterflied piece of chicken instead of the classic wings. And I asked for the hot syrup on the side but it was good! I appreciate the waitress for bringing us plenty of flavored creamers for our iced coffee because it is unsweetened. The flavored creamers add enough sweetness where you don't need to use sugar. Sugar only falls to the bottom of cold drinks. And they do provide free refills. This is a busy spot! I don't know what Sat and Sun brunch looks like but it was a 20 min wait on a Friday! read more

Over the last few months, I have been going to Kristof's weekly (sometimes 2x a week - don't judge) and I have NEVER not enjoyed the food or our service. With that said, I thought it was time for me to update my review, since the last time I wrote anything was in 2016! A lot has happened since then. A lot of good food has been eaten since then. I don't even know where to start...but here goes. Before you walk in, check out the special board. Some of my favorite things have been there. The lentil soup, the tomato soup, the ahi tuna salad (my new favorite), ect. Every dish is made with care and with the freshest ingrediants. The ahi tuna used to be a menu item, but our server told us that they were having a hard time getting quality tuna, so it was removed from the menu. WELCOME BACK to the special board, because the ahi was delicious and perfectly prepared - partnered with the peanut dressing....yep - so far I have had it 2x! I love the avocado toast. I add feta cheese to it, and OMG! So good! I know, it's simple - but believe me, I have been to places where it's just - well, not as good! Kristof's makes it perfect - with or without the added feta. We come during the week, and let me know this place is HOPPING! Some days, you walk right in and there's a table waiting - sometimes there's a wait. There is always a wait on the weekends. For the last 6 years, my favorite pancake has been the multigrain pancake. There is just something amazing about the texture and I feel it's a little healthier for me - I love that they have fresh fruit and when they serve something with strawberries, you feel like you're getting the whole basket freshly picked! Kristof's is also one of the ONLY places I get iced coffee. I normally get hot coffee, but once in a while I will have the ice coffee. Why? Because they have been using coffee ice cubes FOR YEARS! It keeps the integrity of the flavor of the coffee and it doesn't get watered down. I really could go on and on about how good the food is. It really is. I have never not enjoyed what I've ordered. I have had breakfast, brunch & lunch there. My husband has been known to order lunch at 10am. The service is always friendly and on point. The bathroom is the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen in a resturant as busy as they are. Is there anything I don't like? I am not a fan of the 2 tops so close to the 4 tops in the center. They know this and know we will wait for a 4 top next to the wall or a booth. I just don't like feeling I am sitting with strangers and that they are sitting with me. Pricing is moderate & fair. I ordered avocado toast to go. Picked up order in a timely fashion 15 minutes the order comes with egg whites and a tiny fruit bowl the fruit was quite fresh cut in tiny pieces one slice of harvest, grain bread and egg whites. The avocado was not fresh. It is from some kind of packaging. Had no flavor order came to $19 and change with the two dollar tip. it was actually not what I expected from the reviews. I have read about this restaurant. What does it take to have a fresh avocado instead of something filled with preservatives slice the avocado put it on the toast. This is where we had our first date 5 years ago, so Kristoff's has special meaning to us. (Like when an alien speaks or sobI've heard.) When entering, the "kafe" it appears ordinary. Kinda bland. But it's really quite extraordinary. Yay! It's a coffee shop that goes above and beyond, delivering flavors that have me hankerin' for a visit right now. However, the hash browns were terrible. They were soggy AND burnt Plain drip coffee. Let me tell you something about Kristof's Kate!!!! I have never had anything that wasn't short of amazing. I've been here the last two times I've come to stay in the Fort Lauderdale area, which is usually at the Hard Rock. The first time I came was with my husband and we were able to have a nice quiet breakfast on a Monday morning. It was the first time I had ever tried biscuits and gravy and it TURNED ME OUT. I have loved it ever since! The second time, I came with my cousin and got the Meatlovers Biscuit and Gravy! BOY, when I tell yall it is so much food, but it's amazing. I could barely eat half, but sausage, ham, bacon, eggs, cheese on a biscuit? WITH GRAVY? INSANE!! My cousin got the croissant and it was damn good as well. Just like BUTTA! They have $4 or $5 mimosas and coffee was damn good. The service was right on time and our waiter was super attentive. When I come back, I'll be stopping back in for sure! read more

Most recently when I came with friends, we shared my two favorites: not so eggs Benedict and the strawberry stuffed French toast Not so eggs Benedict (biscuits topped with hash browns, bacon, eggs, and gravy): if you love hash browns and gravy, this dish does not skimp at all on it. Strawberry stuffed French toast (challah bread French toast encrusted with cereal, stuffed with strawberries and cream cheese): I get this nearly every time I come here. Love the generous amount of filling that almost floods out when I cut into the toast. Can definitely see why this is a fan favorite. Overall the food is top notch and in such large portions that it's definitely worth every cent. I usually always have to take leftovers back. Also, staff are always super nice and on top of it. Parking is relatively easy since it's in a plaza. The only thing is the wait time since it's so popular, so be prepared for a wait (especially on weekends) so try to come early if you can. read more

This little cafe is honestly so yummy! I've been here twice and need to come more often. Last time I got the avocado toast on multigrain with fried eggs and it was full of flavor and refreshing! I also ordered while there the challah french toast with bananas on top, and I LOVE!!! It's a perfect home-cooked meal where you feel right at home eating. Definitely home vibes, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. Both times I've been here I had nothing to complain about. I was looking for a brunch spot for Father's Day and stumbled upon Kristof's on yelp. I liked the menu. It had a lot of good reviews and the pictures of the food sold me. It turns out that everything was fantastic from the food, the drinks, the service, all great. I like that it's independently owned and not part of a chain. It's not very big inside, but they put as many tables and chairs in there as possible. It was busy and people were waiting outside to be seated. Luckily since it was just me and my wife, we walked in and got seated right away. I ordered a bacon Bloody Mary and my wife got the mason jar cold brew which we forgot to take a picture of. She really loved the coffee and the Bloody Mary was good, a little horseradish heavy but I like horseradish so I didn't mind. It came with two strips of bacon, three olives, and a lemon wedge. I ate the bacon before we took the picture. Oops. I ordered the Kristof's not so Benedict and my wife got the meat lovers biscuits and gravy with breakfast potatoes. Both dishes were really good hard to tell what's going on from the pictures since they're smothered in gravy. But trust me they were good. They were pretty similar, but I'd have to say when I go back (not if, when) I would get what my wife got, the meatlovers biscuits and gravy. Scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, ham, and bacon on top of biscuits smothered with gravy. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and the service was fast. I don't know why I hadn't tried this spot sooner. I was always told there would be a wait, but on a Friday morning we got right in, even though every table was full. Such a good, local gem. It's a quaint little Cafe with a hometown feel. The food was phenomenal, definitely very comforting. I had the stuffed French toast, it was incredible. Creamy and coated perfectly and the strawberries were a perfect balance. I added a side of bacon, perfectly crispy and delicious. My husband had the chicken and waffles and really enjoyed it. Amazing and yummy!! Great food. We ordered the brisket with poached eggs and hash browns- 10/10! Everything was flavorful. The service was quick, with a short wait for a Sunday afternoon. Inside was pretty packed but considering the delicious food, it made sense. The text service app was helpful, it would be great if they provided approximate wait times in the text. Overpriced and Over hyped. I've heard good things from friends about this place so I had high expectations. I wanted something simple and quick. Saw they had a meal going for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 sides of potatoes, and some pancakes. The Kristof's 2-2-2-2, it's called on the menu. Can't go wrong with that, right? Since I don't eat pork I asked if it's possible if they can switch the bacon and sausage with turkey bacon or beef patties. Waitress says no problem (remember this part). Also ordered some of their fresh orange juice. Or at least I hope it was fresh by the time I ordered it cause it certainly didn't taste that way. Took about 40 minutes for my order to make it's way to my table. I won't fault the kitchen for that, as I understand I came in during a pretty full rush. What I do fault them for was the quality of the meal for what I paid for. You could taste they made this in a rush. I asked for eggs hard scrambled and it comes out runny. Barely would even call it soft scrambled. Potatoes were hard in some parts. Could definitely tell it didn't have enough time on the skillet before moving on the next order. Turkey bacon may as well have been turkey brittle. Like I was crunching on a cracker. The pancakes were doughy and broke apart at the slightest touch of my fork. Overall quality was way below what I was expecting since I came here on recommendation. Now the thing here is, I wouldn't have minded any of that. I've been to worse diners with worse quality and service and I have seldom bothered with putting out a Yelp review. The reason I am here writing this is specifically, and I admit, rather pettily, is because the waitress charged me extra for switching the bacon and sausage. 2 extra dollars for the bacon. 2 extra dollars for the beef sausage. What would have been a total of 13.99 rocketed to 17.99. I checked for any sign in the establishment or something on the menu to indicate there would be an upcharge for any modifications/substitutions. Nothing. Waitress didn't communicate any of that to me when I asked if it was possible to switch out the pork. Instead of making that known to me in any capacity she takes the order. I could have spent that money on one of their specials but instead I'm left with a barely finished and overpriced meal. If I wanted Waffle House quality I would've gone to Waffle House. At least you get what you pay for over there. If you're going to to weasel your way into charging me 18 bucks for some of the most basic things you can order at a diner, do me a favor an at least do some quality control to make sure it's not something you guys barely managed to get out of the kitchen. Also a Western Omelette with crispy fried potatoes & toast. All perfect. The service is spot on with refills of beverages. Servers happy & friendly. The restaurant is in a very busy strip mall so parking is difficult. The only big problem is the Wait time for a table. Between 30+ minutes anytime you arrive. I have been going to Kristof's Kafe since it opened. And today, because we were close by, hubby and I stopped by for brunch. As usual, there was a wait (Sunday afternoons are busy). So, we browsed in the nearby Bells. But our table was ready within 15 minutes, instead of the 20-30 minutes wait time we were given. We tried some new items on the brunch menu. A Brisket Benedict and a Cannoli French Toast. We did halfsies. They were both deeelicious! I am not a fan of red meat but the brisket with the poached egg on a biscuit with hash browns on the side was savory. The Cannoli French Toast was divine. I did my half without syrup (it was sweet enough). Next time, I am going to tickle my tastebuds by adding some strawberries to that cannoli concoction. I have never had anything bad here. And I am so happy to see the place is still alive and kicking. This is good, homemade food at its best! read more

We came here for brunch about noon on a Saturday. When we arrived there was a short wait and they took our name and phone number and told us we would receive a text when they could seat us. We walked over to Beall's and browsed and received the text about 10-15 minutes later. We were seated and immediately provided menus and our drink orders were taken. I was skeptical at first based on the pics I've seen. They don't do this place enough justice. Its in a plaza that is not the typical breakfast/cafe mom and pops shop. Going inside in the morning at about 11am this place was packed on a Wednesday. The servers were extremely polite and attentive and the decor was very fitting for Halloween in-terms of pumpkins and little odds and ends decor. It was very quaint to say the least. I had the cookies and cream waffles and my friend had a customer omelette. If you like sweet and savory, this is a great waffle to have as the Oreos crumbles were not only on top but also in the batter of the waffle. This also came with chocolate drizzled syrup and powdered sugar. This was a tough choice between the chicken and waffles or the chocolate chip but seeing that cookies and cream isn't the norm, that was the obvious choice in this case for me. The menu had a good selection of choices for breakfast, enough variety for the whole family. The ice coffee came with the coffee on ice (coffee cubes) no creamer or sugar added as you would have to do it yourself. Typically personal opinion, I do like my iced coffee made completely as some places offer but it doesn't take away from how good this place is or the coffee itself. read more
