Everyone from the greeter to our server was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The space was beautiful and modern. It was a little loud with the live singer then people's conversation and having to talk over the singing.. I got "overstimulated". The food... everything we ordered 10/10! The Wagyu and Crab Kao Soi that came out as a table side presentation with a blow torch was soooo cool! The Salmon Ceviche ( BEST WE EVER HAD), Crabzilla Fried Rice which was $50 BUT you get a huge portion with a ton of crab you are getting your money worth and more because it was so good, and Drunken Noodles with Crispy Pork which was surprisingly equal with the best we ever had! There was so much more we wanted to try, but we will save those orders for our next visit because we will definitely be back. Ordered the drunken noodles, papaya salad, and the braised beef Penang curry. Papaya salad was refreshing; very fish sauce forward. Penang curry was spot on although I would forgo the beef next time. Everything we tried had bold, authentic flavors with a gorgeous presentation. The serve table side cajete. Similar to what most people know as guacamole, but its mixed with much much more. The flavors don't even compare. They add a sauce to the avocado mix that had sugar, fish sauce and lime juice, chilis, fried papaya and more served on a fish chip! GET THIS The curry was out if this world. It was the perfect balance of sweet, spicy (#4), and savory. We got the mango sticky rice for desert. Now, ive had this plenty of times in other restaurants. Their presentation at Krok was an eye catching work of art with the authentic flavors we were looking for. The Calamari give you two sauces...use them both together. Game changer!!!!! So I'm visiting from Arizona, right? And we decided to try this spot called Krok... and it was so worth it. We ordered their signature Khao Soi with American Wagyu and crab--yes, both. The bowl was massive, super sharable, and it actually had a really generous amount of crab meat. So honestly, for the portion and quality, the price is more than fair. We also started with the crispy pork belly--which, by the way, is done a little different here. It's got this light, flaky coating on the outside that gives it a unique crunch. So good. Krok is a new Thai restaurant located in Chinatown. You'll find them on Arville and Spring Mountain, across the street from Shanghai Plaza. There's good parking available. Soft opening was on April 16, 2025. Inside is bright, inviting, spacious, and clean with plenty of seating and good Thai music. Every table has a mortar and pestle with dining utensil. Menu offers Chef TK specials, tasty appetizers, salad, soup, curry, entrees, noodles, as well as noodle soup, fried rice, and desserts. They serve complimentary shrimp chips, it's a great snack with a fun crispy crunch! The chips are light, airy, and seasoned with tajin, Thai chili pepper, and garlic powder. These chips can be enjoyed with both hot Jasmine tea ($5) and Thai iced tea. I like their selections and opted for Chicken Satay (4 pieces, $15.95), very tasty and delicious! The meat is tender and marinated in coconut milk with curry powder, served with a yummy peanut sauce, and a refreshing cucumber salad which gave a nice sweet balance, it's really good! They have a weekday special for appetizers, if you buy one you get one free with a choice of pot stickers or egg rolls. I went with pot stickers (7 pieces, $12.95) which is usually served as steamed chicken & cabbage stuffing. I requested for deep-fried potstickers, and it was delivered nice and crispy, served with soy-garlic vinaigrette dip. For my entree, I chose something light and got Coconut Lemongrass Soup "Tom Kha Soup" ($17.95), it's comforting and flavorful! The soup has a lovely blend of lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, galangal, coconut milk, chili, lime juice, and mushrooms. I opted for veggies which included onions, cabbage, cilantro, and broccoli, soup is very good! Just a note, some ingredients such as galangal and lemongrass are used to infuse flavor in the soup, they're not meant to be consumed. Dessert was a nice treat! Mango with Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice ($14.95) is a generous portion and very filling. The sticky rice is nicely coated in coconut cream, topped with fresh sliced mangoes, chopped peanuts, and lightly sweet strawberry compote, Yum! Service from Win and Kate is exceptional, attentive, and remarkable! Everyone in the staff is very welcoming, friendly, and polite. My bf and I finished a long day of snowboarding and wanted Thai food on our way back to our hotel. We had gotten the holy crab fried rice and the beef pad see ew. It is a bit pricey, for 2 items it did come out to roughly $50 because the crab fried rice was $29 and beef pad see ew was $19. Husband found a YouTube video mentioning Krok and we added it to our dining itinerary for our trip. Stopped by on a weekday during lunch and ordered the tamarind shrimp lunch special, crying tiger steak, & American Wagyu & crab khao soi that they flame and arrange tableside. Everything was a hit! Not one thing was "mid" as the kids say these days lol. After trying another "viral" restaurant the night before and being disappointed, we were so happy this lived up to the hype. Husband said this is definitely staying on the rotation list of places we eat every time we visit Vegas. There was only one server and the restaurant started to get pretty busy during lunch but she handled it well and still managed to check on us frequently. We really wanted to try the dessert but I was way too full :( next time! Ordered khao soi and dino rib eye (not on menu, but had to request). Both were prepped tableside which was fun for the whole table. Rib eye bone slips right out - Tendiness! I don't think I need to be the one cutting up the beef to spread it in the curry, but part of the presentation is the full rib bone in for you to see. Food was excellent. Don't need to go to the strip for an fancy food experience - places like this may look unassuming in the front in the middle of a strip mall, but can be a total elevated asian food experience. Liked the neon modern color scheme. Server's aprons had the same aesthetic. Servers super polite - "excuse my reach" along with polite presentations of the drinks - really implies this isn't your day-to-day restaurant on spring mountain (not that anything's wrong with that - that's the bread-and-butter of chinatown). Really liked the mango sticky rice drink. Another employee was very nice to us - commenting on our children and discussing the drink menus with us. She said the mixologist was from Fountainbleu I think. Great experience overall.
