I just recently started staying in Brooklyn and I was looking for a decent sushi spot.. but I'm going to be honest this place exceeded my expectations!!! The staff is very friendly and attentive.. the food is amazing and their service is quick. You don't feel rushed which is another strong point. I came here twice and both times was a great experience. Their bathrooms are clean and their saki does the trick .. I recommend coming here whether you are alone or with someone or some people!! Nice clean space and plenty of room. They even have special rolls named for the area which I thought was pretty cool.. I just went here to order lunch and the waitress couldn't even say hello to me. I even waited and she gave me the yah what do you want face. I said you aren't even going to say hello? And she said nothing so I said never mind and just left. They've officially lost my business. I was literally the only customer in the restaurant and they had only been open for 30 min. There is no excuse for poor customer service especially when you are slow and not making money. This was my final straw with this restaurant. I've tried so many times to give it a chance but the sushi is meh and to have to deal with poor service it just isn't worth it. People work hard to earn their money and to spend it a place that acts like you are burden instead of a customer just isn't worth it. read more

I was not satisfied at all. For starters the person that delivered my order left my food in the lobby and texted me 5 mins after I was waiting for him to come upstairs. This is an okay place for Japanese lunch. I ordered a sushi bento box but the portion is not big enough to make me feel full. In the beginning I thought maybe it's my lifestyle is very active (workout 3times/wk at least and biking as a way of commuting) so usually restaurant food is just a dessert. They gave me a wet napkin to start off my meal which hasn't happened to me in a long time. I tried the kani salad and it was good, but it wasn't cold enough for me. I think a salad should be cold since it is probably pre-made, but that wasn't the case. The menu is VERY limiting. They do not have a lot of the original maki rolls that I usually get. The special rolls are so friggin expensive like $11-$13, yeah no thanks. My bf and I got a few rolls the Spicy Scallop roll, Dragon roll, Shrimp Tempura roll, Philadelphia roll and that's it. They were all very good and fresh. I liked the spicy scallop roll because it had a good crunch to it. The waitress was wonderful and she refilled my green tea very promptly. Since I am not a big SUSHI fan... My 4 stars are based on HOT cooked food and to my amazement - I enjoyed it. I had the Hibachi Chicken - I asked for it to be a little spicy with a side of brown rice - It was really really good and the portion was large. My friend had the fried wings - it came with a side of sweet sauce -it was also delicious. That deserved 3 or 4 stars, all things considered. Shumai was gross. Beef negamaki was weak. Spicy tuna roll was good. Then the sushi pieces came. Complete disaster. Tuna was stringy. Toro was awful. Uni was spoiled. I had to rinse my mouth for 10 minutes and still couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. Lesson learned. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Yesterday I have visited this business as it wasn't my first time eating from here but first time being seated. My girlfriend & I ordered appetizers, my miso soup was good, however for my girlfriends salad, she had found a LIVE bug crawling throughout her food. We told our waiter and he replied that it came from their plants, & not from the kitchen. We just asked for him to take it away and not to be charged. Due to me having their rolls from here before, we stood. Our food came out and it was pretty good as usual (reasoning to two stars instead of just one). However at the end, we paid and walked out. Our server RAN after us, completely embarrassed us, making it seem as if we walked out on the bill. We were confused, & then he said a tip was mandatory. We were shocked. They've gotten better! I'm not sure what happened, but the seafood tastes pretty fresh, and the presentation is nice. My initial review lambasted them for delivering scale filled fish. I gave them another try and have been ordering from them since. Try the Any Three Rolls lunch special. While their Yaki Soba is lacking a bit in flavor, it's not all bad. My cousin and I tried the ginger wings (lollipop style) and they were delicious, minus the hair. Sigh. At least they are trying. I hope they get better. read more
