After she brought it up, they told her she was wrong and because she didn't want to complain too much, she walked away kindly. The drink that I ordered was the Taro Black Milk Tea with Boba and Vanilla pudding. It was tasty. The boba was too soft though, maybe they overcooked it this time. When I bit into it, there was no chewy core but it was just stuck to my teeth. Originally, I would give this review around 3 stars but the extra star is for the customer service that Ive received. Laura? Lauren? I didn't fully catch her name, but she is amazing! She helped me pick a drink and accommdated towards the fact that I just had my wisdom teeth removed and made sure I didnt use a straw. She is very sweet and bubbly. The other staffs were not as friendly as she is. She is my go-to person now, every time I visit this location. Overall, I will try out this place with their top ten drinks. Kung Fu Tea is one of the better Boba place I've been too. They've got a wide selection of drink flavors and toppings so you should be able to find the right drink for you. The venue is chill and a great place for the UCF crowd to hang out. The boba doesn't have the chew to it that I like but it's not too soft. Didn't ask how they make their drinks but what I had didn't taste powdery which is always a plus. read more

I'm a huge fan of the Kung Fu Tea franchise and I'm glad they have one in Orlando. Drinks here are pretty consistent, never had issues with any of the drinks I've ordered. They drinks are also customizable. You can control ice level and sweetness, which I love about KFT. I find other places make it too sweet and overpowering so having the option to control the sweetness is beneficial for someone like me. I will say that they are more limited on their drink sizing and they are more expensive compared to competitors but it's because they use premium ingredients imported from Taiwan, you can definitely taste the difference. They also offer food options at this location, but I have yet to try. My favorite drinks I've tried that I would recommend: Taro Milk Tea (personal favorite) Mango Green Tea Oolong Tea Oreo Milk Tea Green Milk Tea This location is small and has a few tables which is ideal for studying/working. They also offer free wifi! read more

First of all, I live in Atlanta and I'm a big fan of kungfu tea drink because they are really good. However, at this establishment is 100% trash garbage from the drink to the staff. I have a classic milk tea with requested for 70% sugar. When I got my drink it tasted like vomit because it is so bitter. So I confronted the lady who made the drink and she had a little attitude saying that I ordered the milk with 70% sugar and this is what I get. Then I tell her this is too bitter and can you make it any sweeter, she kept pointing at the percentage of sugar saying this is what I ordered though (she looks old and does not speak english that well). I dont understand why she giving such a hassle about wanting little bit sweeter. Then another young girl walked out and I explained to her what happened, she said that the lady is wrong because that lady thought it was 70% less sugar meaning 100% sugar - 70% sugar = 30% so she only gave us 30% sugar. That's not it. once I paid for the drink and I thought to my self, why does it cost so much and then I see she charged me twice for the same drink, I tell her I didnt order that drink and then she said, "I'm sorry, there is no refund, it's the store policy". I was like wtf!!! So there is nothing I can do so I just have to get 2 drinks instead of 1. Okay tea but very poor customer service. They were very rude and impatient. They also didn't know what was on their own menu.

Arrived on a Sunday evening around 7pm for a sweet snack after dinner. I ordered the taro slush with boba and Oreo, while my girlfriend ordered the Oreo Nutella bubble waffle. After 5 minutes my drink was ready and I was eagerly excited. First sip the tapioca was extremely over cooked. They were really warm and super chewy, not very appetizing. When the bubble waffle came out we were pretty excited but wondered where the ice cream was only to realize it was one scoop at the bottom of the cup. I asked the cashier if there was any way we could get more and she said she could for a dollar extra. I agreed and she took back the waffle and came back with one extra scoop of ice cream. Not sure why they would be stingy with simple vanilla ice cream. Overall the taro was good but wouldn't recommend the boba. If you're craving an ice cream dessert the bubble waffle will not satisfy that craving. read more

I usually get regular milk tea whenever I go to a boba place but what makes Kung fu unique to me is that they can adjust the amount of sweetness by percentage. I don't know how it's done but being a type 1 diabetic I always get 0% sweet and after checking my glucose after drinking a small tea , it's not sky high. The flavors are usually pretty good. Unfortunately, the preparation and presentation are terrible. The bubble waffle took 20 minutes to come out AFTER the order before me, and I was the only order being worked on in back. It was burnt black, and tasted burnt. There's also some softserve they display for it that just doesn't exist. Even speaking to a manager (the deal was buy 2 get 1 free but we paid for all 3) they wouldn't give a refund. We also ordered a large and they gave us a medium. We only noticed after because we were so upset about the terrible cutomer service. The customer service there is always sub par. I seriously appreciate a business that handles complicated and long orders with professionalism and organization. Lemme explain- most of the time I'm in town with my boyfriend's family of (at least) 8 strong and whenever we go out for "bubble tea" (their words not mine) they seem to wanna try every flavor with every topping but forget what they ordered after it's been made. Today especially we had 13 different drink orders that we actually had to redo because this location doesn't do the creme cap thing like is shows on the yelp. But I digress This Kung Fu tea surpasses the Kung Fu here in Orlando on boba alone. The chewiness and consistency of the boba is just the right amount of soft yet chew. Really good. Their aloe too is delicious. My ONLY Complaint is that I wish there were stronger coffee slush flavors. For those rebellious ones like myself that get coffee at a boba shop, their coffee flavors are very light. For me especially I like my coffee strong and this one was like 2 parts water 1 part coffee. I sampled everyone else's flavors though and came to the conclusion that winter melon is a.ma.zing. forreal. Try it. Sample it. Fall in love with it. No, it doesnt taste like a watermelon. What a bad experience here today on 08/08/2019 @2:33PM. I took the liberty to bring my family visited from Georgia to this location in Orlando. The receptionist made a mistake and duplicate one of the order in our receipt. We then immediately address the issue to her (the staff) before she made it. The outcome was unpleasant. Not only did she not admitted her mistake but she didn't refund back the ordered that we doesn't need. The ordered we placed arrived, but the sugar level that we order was reversed (instead of 70% level, she gave us a 30% {Removing 70%}. And the 30% sugar level turned to 70% Sugar level super sweet.) The Taro doesn't taste anything like a Taro. Im very disappointed. Here I am wasting my time trying to help promoting this business to everyone that I know, and driving 1hr to grab these drinks. And yes, I think it still serves more offerings than it should. However, I'll hesitantly give them another star because once you know their quirks, I see myself returning here more times. OH! SWEET! As other reviewers noted, when ordering a drink, you can state your preferred sweetness level. I'm glad I only did 70% because my Matcha Milk Tea was still a tad too sweet! (This is coming from me who can handle shots of sugar cubes). Hub's Honey Green Tea was better; each flavor of green tea and honey danced individually yet in harmony. We've also tried their prepared Taro Cake-- very fluffy, moist, and spongy. First time I've had Kung Fu tea was in Vegas. And been hooked since then. I think this is the perfect location for this spot as they grow a following here. The teas are amazing and so are the toppings. I love the fact that you can choose your level of sweetness also. Besides the teas, they also serve shaved snow creams which are amazing!! The original is my favorite, but the other ones are great too! They're pretty big, so I would split with another person. Place is clean and the prices are descent. Finally got around to trying this place and I'm glad I did! The menu is a little smaller than most tea places but the flavors they offer make up for it! They also have a lot of promotions and discounts. We originally were going to order a Thai tea but they don't offer that, which is fine! Instead we ordered a large taro and green tea milk tea with honey boba, which is also the only flavor boba they offer. If you check in on yelp you get a free topping, so we got a fifty cent discount for the boba. The tea was absolutely delicious. The flavor combination worked perfectly and I would come running back for it. The honey boba was extremely fresh and had the perfect hint of sweetness. I'm really glad that they open a ucf location. Been craving Kung Fu Tea drinks since I went to the Chicago location in the summer. This location is nice and cozy to chill at with friends. Nice atmosphere. There's variety of drinks to choose and there's some food on the side you can choose such as salad, some Asian pastries. My boyfriend and I ordered coffee milk tea with pudding toppings and Oreo milk tea with pudding toppings. Since today's grand opening, they have their grand opening promotion; buy one get one free(only large size). Really good deal. My friend ordered yogurt green tea drink. It doesn't really taste like green tea and it tastes like the Asian yogurt drink(not the American yogurt snack). It has that Asian yogurt taste in the end. It was alright to me. If you don't really like the Asian yogurt drinks, don't order any of their yogurt drinks. Pudding with Oreo milk tea is good but I preferred with boba or no toppings at all. Their bobas taste good and have the right texture. Worth to spent 50 cents more. Defiantly coming back here. Defiantly completion with Chewy now. This is my new go-to place for milk tea! I've always enjoyed drinking KFT while visiting UF and USF, as well as in Queens, NYC. I was delighted to hear that they opened a new store right across the street from UCF! What I like about this place is the cozy, hipster-esque vibe that makes it a great place to study, or just hang out with friends. It's extremely clean and there's not too much decoration going on inside that it gets obnoxious. There's also free wifi :D In addition, KFT boasts the best quality of boba in Orlando, at least in my opinion. The texture is just right, and the edges of the boba are never broken apart like I've experienced at other places. And the flavor is just heavenly...quite sweet and refreshing on a hot Orlando day. But that's not to detract from the quality of the tea itself. Each tea drink is based off of Kung Fu Tea's signature Black, Green, or Oolong Tea blends, which each are extremely fragrant. Personally, I think the Green Tea is a little strong for some peoples tastes, but it really depends on the type of drink. Unlike other boba places in the city, I don't get the feeling that I'm being overwhelmed by sugary, artificial powders that flavor the beverages. Instead, the taste is very replicative of boba/milk teas I've tried in China. Which makes sense, because it looks like this is a Chinese founded business. To be honest, some may find the milk cap teas and yogurts a bit strong for their tastes. Not to worry, most of the normal milk teas have a flavor that is more mild but all as much satisfying! Yet another substantial selling point is the ability to add extra sugar or less sugar than usual. In addition, the equipment, coffee machines, shaker machines are all top of the line. Even with all the fancy machinery, the pricing stays decent. So with that being said, some of my favorites include: Oreo Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea, Red Bean Matcha, and any drink with the delicious Herbal Jelly. But what's my opinion to you. Kung Fu Tea stands out among its peers because you can actually taste the tea! I wandered in yesterday afternoon in search of a late lunch/snack and ordered a taro milk tea with boba (taro is the flavor by which I grade all boba tea shops). There are an incredible amount of flavors, tea types, and add-ons (as others have mentioned), but I was disappointed that there was no avocado smoothie option - a must-have for me if it's available. My drink took a few minutes to make, which is pretty average. The shop itself seems sort of... empty. The location and setup is nice but they could probably use more chairs and tables, or just something to fill all the static space in there. The front half of the shop almost feels cavernous. The tea itself was great. My first impression was that it was not as sweet as other taro teas I've had in the past, but it worked really well because the flavor of the actual tea was strong. It also wasn't purple in color, which is a first for me. The boba was chewy and plentiful; they definitely did not skimp. I will be back soon to try the taro green tea. read more

Went here the other day with a group of 9 people. We pulled up some chairs around the couches and were able to comfortably sit around the table. I was in the mood for something fruity, so I ordered the strawberry milk slush with boba. It was probably my least favored one out of the ones we ordered. I tried the passion fruit green tea, and that was probably my favorite - not too sweet and surprisingly refreshing. Reminds me of a drink they have in the Dominican Republic called Chinola. The taro slush was probably my next favorite, but I think it's an acquired taste. Some people really don't like the flavor of taro. I also had some of the Oreo Milk Tea, which is one of the popular drinks here, but I wasn't a huge fan of it. They have some board games in the back, and we spent about an hour playing Uno. I'm hardly ever on the East Orlando side of town, but if I'm ever craving Boba this is a great spot. The amount of flavors and options for toppings can be a little overwhelming, but their staff was helpful answering questions. The big pro to this place, unlike other Boba places is that customization. No ice, or low levels of sweetness are all available so you can create your ideal Boba experience. The only negative is that they aren't using proper use of their space. Certainly college kids will be flocking to come here and the seating is very limited, so I hope soon they add more seating. read more

My boyfriend and I are die-hard Chewy Boba Company fans (to the point where our visits have probably paid for a month or two of their rent...), so when we heard that a new bubble tea shop had opened, we had to go check out the competition. I have to admit... If we lived any closer to the UCF area, I would probably be writing this review from inside their store. A few points: - Boba is firm, chewy, and lightly sweetened. It's the perfect texture, and it's obvious that they're not recycling the previous night's batch. (Granted, they've only recently opened, so mileage may vary when the hype has died down.) - Drinks are worth the price. I have a tendency to stick to plainer drinks (simple green tea, black tea, or oolong would make me happy), so it occasionally pains me to shell out $4-5 for 50 cents worth of tapioca or jelly and a drink that I could have essentially brewed at home. Here? Even simple drinks like the Peach Oolong or Lychee Black Tea came with tiny chunks of fruit. It's a nice and thoughtful addition, and the price is already inclusive. :) - You can choose the level of sweetness! I love bubble tea, but I don't really love diabetes. Most bubble tea shops only offer one or two levels of sweetness (it's sweet or it's not, and even if you ask for half sweet, it still tastes like a 6 year old's dream beverage). At KFT, I read 6 choices for sweetness levels ranging from 0% to 120%. Half sweet was just right for me. - You can get your drinks hot! I know that the cold front is already ending, but at least you have the option of getting warm bubble tea when it's freakishly cold. The only other time I had that option available to me was in NY. - Even without additional flavoring, the tea is perfect and can shine on its own. For fans of unflavored tea, you actually have OPTIONS here! I highly recommend trying out KFT. Sorry, Chewy, looks like I'll be paying for KFT's rent from here on out. :'( read more

At first I didn't like the taste of Kung Fu Tea. I was contacted by the owner, Felix about my first experience and since then he has changed my opinion of his tea shop. Felix has informed me that I am able to change the percentage of sweetness in my teas so a drink like Sunshine Pineapple the sweetness could be reduced to 70% if needed. After I stopped by for a second try at Kung Fu Tea, Felix recommended the Strawberry Lemon at 70% sweetness and the tea was 10x better than my last drink I ordered. The boba is very delicious for sure. Best boba I've ever tasted, however some of the teas just tasted different from what I had expected. I've gone several times to try out different items on the menu, but the weird part was the addition of real fruit. I felt like it just kind of ruined the tea.
