I came in because I was having tooth pain, and I was also supposed to have a cleaning but after dealing with her, I wanted to leave immediately. I was completely done with the place and decided I would rather find a new dentist. I explained that I had lost Medi-Cal a while ago because of income related eligibility issues and now had different insurance. I repeatedly told her that I am a low income mom and there was no way I could afford the large treatment bill right now. Her response was that I should have stayed with Medi-Cal because the treatment would have been free, as though that had been my choice. Instead of respecting that, she kept pushing me to open a credit account, discuss financing, ask a husband or partner, or somehow figure out how to pay for it on the spot. She repeatedly told me she did not want my tooth to fall out. After I had already said several times that I could not afford the treatment, I finally said, "Then it falls out." The entire conversation became an unnecessary back-and-forth because she would not accept "not right now" as an answer. It took a lot for me to mentally prepare myself to go to the dentist and this interaction made the entire experience extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing. My son heard the whole conversation and even said afterward that she was rude to me. Please train your staff to treat patients with more patience and compassion. Staff should not be aggressive/cutthroat when discussing treatment with someone who is clearly saying they cannot afford it. Pressuring a patient to open credit or find someone else to pay is inappropriate. I will not be returning.

The first week of recovery was honestly pretty rough, but I reached out to Dr. Le and he responded right away and prescribed stronger medication. It helped a lot and made a big difference. Thank you to Valerie and Kevin for being caring assistants and taking good care of me. To the front desk team, I spoke to both team members and they were very patient and helpful! My recovery has been great, just like any other surgery you feel the pain once the anesthesia wears off but the fact that I'm not swollen and I feel good is amazing! Although it's the second day I'm still resting but I can gladly say I'm not in any pain or have severe swelling! I can't wait for my one week check up, hoping and praying that my recovery remains as smooth as it is so far! For years I've known that Dr. Le is the go to OS!! I had to wait a little while at the office, but it was remarkably short considering I arrived at the last minute and they were busy. Waited 25 minutes with no acknowledgment from the receptionist or doctor. 2. I then asked the receptionist how much longer and she said maybe 5-10 minutes, umm...we do not have an open room. She did not sound truthful. 3. Her rationale was because I was early and that they don't normally have patient coming in early. She made me get on the phone with the insurance company and the company told me they don't know what the problem is, because it clearly shows I'm insured. Just her demeanor made me want to walk out right then and there. I met with the doctor and we came up with a plan for what I needed. I liked him...he was great. A few days later I had an infection starting and called in. The Dr. had me come right in and gave me prescriptions. He was again great. But the front desk girl once again was incompetent. I needed a tooth pulled and she couldn't get the insurance to approve it. She said it was major surgery and could take up to 6 weeks. . She also told me I had to call the insurance company myself to get the approval. What? Isn't that your job? I've never had to do that. She was always rude on the phone and made it seem like she was being put out. I finally just googled another place nearby with great reviews and got right in two days later with my insurance approving the simple procedure. They needed the X-rays from this place and once again the girl couldn't even send them over when asked. The day of the surgery they called again to ask and she sent over a pixelated X-ray that they couldn't read so they just took another one and didn't charge me. She has been to three different dentists for implants, and she had the best experience at this office, which is why we keep going back here despite the very long drive. In fact, I've recommended this place to my friend's parents too. I took my mom to all her appointments. Dr. Vu Phan has wonderful bedside manner and was very patient with my mom through the whole process. He answered all of her questions thoroughly and gave her honest answers about whether or not she would need to do additional procedures for her other teeth. He even took the time to teach her how to floss properly. After my mom had the bone graft done, we had pretty frequent follow-up appointments (about every 2 months) to check on the development of the bone graft. In terms of billing, we had to pay half of the cost on the day of the first procedure, and we paid the rest of the cost later. The office did ask us to pay the full amount before they tried to bill the insurance, but my mom told them to bill the insurance first and let her know what the remaining copay would be, so the office did what my mom asked them to do. The office is clean and nicely decorated with a pretty fish tank. The restroom is clean too. Also they charge 3% service fee for credit cards, so I recommend paying in cash or check to avoid the service charge. Parking is plentiful. The staff speak English and Vietnamese.

One dentist, Dr. Kimberly, expertly analyzed and explained the problem, offering various solutions. Because I hadn't insurance, I chose a very difficult upper canine tooth extraction where the tooth had actually bonded to the bone! At that point, Dr. Dao took over The man is amazing. He must have struggled for a good 1/2 hour to get that tooth out! At the end, the cash bill was remarkably low. I am grateful for the experience I had here.

I went back a few days later to get it put back in, it popped out Friday and I returned Tuesday at 5:30pm. The next day during my first meal, the crown pops out again. I call to see if it can be put back in and she claims we need a new one. The new one would take weeks to get approved by the insurance. I said ok that's fine but can we put this one back in asap before my gum swells up over the tooth. She claims I have to pay $50. I question why. She claims because it needs a new crown. I'm like ok that's fine but in the meantime I need a tooth. She refuses. Without even consulting anyone. Before I came in for a cleaning the crown was fine. It never felt loose or irritated. It was only after this dentist cleaned my teeth that it popped out. And I remember him being extra aggressive in that area. Either this was done on purpose to force me to get a new crown or its negligence and a refusal to correct for their own errors. The thing that gets me is I was willing and ready to get new crowns done. I have a lot of dental work and it's really expensive to keep up with. When I came in for a cleaning my intention was to plan the next steps for my crowns to be fixed and updated. I'm just waiting for insurance to approve. The fact that they're doing all this to seemingly extort me is insane. Completely unnecessary. Terrible service. No regard for their customers comfort and ability to eat solid foods, they just care about maximizing their paychecks. 0/5 stars if I could.
