We called on Monday to make a new patient appointment for my brother and was able to get an appointment on Wednesday. I was very happy that we were able to get one so quickly. The receptionist on the phone was very kind and easy to work with. The dental office is extremely organized and well kept. Getting checked in was easy, just a few forms to fill out. The best part of this place is the staff. They are amazing. The receptionist (I didn't catch her name) was so nice and welcoming. Juliet, our dental hygienist, was so awesome. My brother was so nervous but she was very caring, always checking in to see if he was ok during the cleaning. Thank you Juliet! Last but not least, Dr. Maleki is the nicest doctor I've ever met. My brother likes his "vibe." He is so friendly and knowledgeable. Super cool guy. We appreciated that he really took the time to explain the results of his dental exam in a manner that made it easy for my brother and I to understand. He was very patient, non-judgmental, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. I could really tell that he cares so much for his patients and his staff. Awesome guy. I came in because I was having tooth pain, and I was also supposed to have a cleaning but after dealing with her, I wanted to leave immediately. I was completely done with the place and decided I would rather find a new dentist. I explained that I had lost Medi-Cal a while ago because of income related eligibility issues and now had different insurance. I repeatedly told her that I am a low income mom and there was no way I could afford the large treatment bill right now. Her response was that I should have stayed with Medi-Cal because the treatment would have been free, as though that had been my choice. Instead of respecting that, she kept pushing me to open a credit account, discuss financing, ask a husband or partner, or somehow figure out how to pay for it on the spot. She repeatedly told me she did not want my tooth to fall out. After I had already said several times that I could not afford the treatment, I finally said, "Then it falls out." The entire conversation became an unnecessary back-and-forth because she would not accept "not right now" as an answer. It took a lot for me to mentally prepare myself to go to the dentist and this interaction made the entire experience extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing. My son heard the whole conversation and even said afterward that she was rude to me. Please train your staff to treat patients with more patience and compassion. Staff should not be aggressive/cutthroat when discussing treatment with someone who is clearly saying they cannot afford it. Pressuring a patient to open credit or find someone else to pay is inappropriate. I will not be returning.

Surprisingly, the extraction of my wisdom tooth was almost painless and so quick! He was even thoughtful to schedule me on a day with less traffic since I was coming from far. I would choose any day to drive farther to get this kind of care rather than to go to a closer dentist where I felt rushed and not given individualized care. I never have to worry about being upsold. I'm so thankful that Dr. Lee treated my mouth so that I feel healthier!

He took the time to explain the entire procedure step-by-step, made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and went above and beyond with the cleaning. Very thorough and professional. He also clearly explained after-care instructions (like use salt water to rinse for the first 2 days, no mouthwash unless it's the kind of mouthwash specific for preventing cavities etc.), which I really appreciated. If you're nervous about deep cleaning or just want someone who genuinely cares, ask for Tien. Highly recommend!

PSA for Dr. Sean's Patients - New Ownership & Aggressive…read more I'm writing this as a PSA for anyone who previously saw Dr. Sean. The office has been completely turned over--new staff, new doctor, and a completely different (and disappointing) approach to patient care. I arrived for my biannual cleaning only to find out the office had changed hands with zero notice. If you get a text asking to fill out "New Patient Information," be warned: they are treating everyone as a brand-new patient to justify unnecessary procedures. The Red Flags: Redundant X-rays: Even though I had X-rays done just last year, they insisted on taking them again immediately. Unprofessional Environment: The new doctor didn't introduce himself and was wearing a gray sweatshirt instead of scrubs or professional clinical attire. It felt very casual and unorganized. Aggressive Sales Pitch: Instead of focusing on my cleaning, I was bombarded with "treatment plans" and pressured into a consult with their in-house endodontist. It felt more like a sales pitch than a check-up. Rough Procedure: The cleaning itself was a nightmare. The doctor was not gentle--I experienced multiple painful numbing injections for a routine cleaning and significant bleeding. The suction was poorly managed, and the whole experience was worlds away from the care Dr. Sean used to provide. I felt completely blindsided. If you valued the gentle, professional care of the previous practice, you might want to look elsewhere. I will be canceling my follow-up and finding a new dentist who prioritizes patient comfort over upselling.

Extra shoutout to Clarissa, Liz, and Angela for being especially amazing. Overall, this has by far been one of my best experiences at a dentist office, and I'm so grateful I found them.

Very disappointing experience…read more The general dentist reviewed my X-ray and said he could perform the extraction, but during the procedure I experienced extreme pain despite multiple numbing attempts. It was clear the area wasn't properly numb, yet the procedure continued. He then stopped midway and said wisdom tooth roots were too deep and I needed a surgeon, something that should have been determined before starting. Because of this failed attempt, I was left with severe nerve sensitivity and constant pain for nearly two weeks while waiting for a specialist. I did not have pain before my visit. This situation could be avoidable. The unnecessary procedure directly caused significant pain and reflects poor judgment and lack of patient care.

He never causes any stress or pressure, simply giving his trustworthy (and very professional) opinion about treatment. Staff is very patient and helpful, great people who make visits easy and nice. Care: I've never had a painful experience here, even during deeper cleanings. They know what they're doing and they do it right. If you want additional care, feel free to ask (e.g., Invisalign, teeth whitening, etc.). I've been going to this office for years and would be really hard pressed to go anywhere else.
