KwikKar, Grease Monkey owned by FullSpeed Automotive. KwikKar stripped oil plug then had to replace it. I've had to go back 3-4 times to have oil added due to continuing oil leaking, at no charge. That should say something. New Mgr. Eric at this location refused to give independent owner name. Grease Monkey Bob Gilbert has same records of visits. (Why it's important to keep paperwork! ) Manager & employee turnover is high. That should tell you everything. Showed Eric a review about oil plugs being stripped causing engine damage. He told me to leave more than once. Next is BBB complaint. Oh and one big black guy noted what I was having to tell him to write did. Note was more than likely deleted when I left. One young black HS student talked of getting high and drinking excessively, partying with friends. I've brought my car here several times, and every time I come here the results are the same. The gentlemen that work here know their science, and they can fix anything they touch as second nature based on my experience. I used to bring my Navigator here before I replaced it, they were always great with how they handled the diagnosis and never overcharged me. The place is clean and the waiting room is pleasant enough that if you had to work from there you could. All of the repairs that I've had done worked great after, including today when they replaced the USB hub (may seem simple but its not) in my 2016 Navigator. They will scam you. I went in about a month ago for an oil leak under the car and they quoted me for a sensor repair and regular oil change which I agreed to over phone. The sensor was marked up over 200% compared to buying from the manufacturer but I needed it fixed on short notice so I agreed. We also discussed potential discounts which I appreciated. I dropped my vehicle off and when I went to pick it up, they had done some "premium" oil change instead of the regular we had agreed on over the phone and charged me significantly more. I pushed back but they just said they didn't have the regular and that the oil change was done. They also denied any discounts until I pulled up the website on my phone. Just another dishonest auto repair. If you must use Kwik Kar, I recommend the one further north at Craig Ranch; worth the drive if you want to avoid being scammed. read more

Woah! Amazing service! This is my 2nd time stopping at this Kwik Kar location, and they are extremely fast and polite! I drive a lot for work so I need oil changes very frequently. I had an oil change, lightbulb changed, tires filled up, and coolant replaced all in about 30 minutes. The tech was so nice he had an employee from Autozone bring a light bulb over for me since they didn't have the one my car needed. Very clean and updated waiting area and clean bathrooms. 5 minutes ago I decided to give this carwash a try since Trademark was extremely busy. It ended up being an expensive lesson and made me realize why they weren't busy. After I got my car washed I got home to clay and wax it and discovered that both wheels on the right side where damaged. I called the carwash several times but got an answering machine. I left a message but decided to return to the location and speak to the manager. Upon arriving, I spoke with the manager and showed him the freshly damaged wheels, which he replied that there was no way they could have damaged the wheels and was unwilling to continue the conversation and walked away. I advise that if you have a nice car that you take good care of to stay away from this business. The equipment is extremely dated and the customer service sucks. read more

Went this morning around 8 A.M. without an appointment. When I arrived there were no cars being serviced. I asked a young Caucasian man (employee) if they did tire repairs? He responded, I'll ask my manager. The manager (older Caucasian man wearing glasses) comes out and asks the young employee (with me standing there), "what does he want?" The young employee says, "he wants to know if we do tire repairs?" The manager looks at the young employee (with me standing there) and says, "we don't do tire repairs. To confirm, I said to the manager, "so you do not do tire repairs?" He never established eye contact with me but responded, "no we don't do tire repairs." As I was leaving, another employee (Hispanic man) was arriving for work so I stopped him and asked, "do you work here, and if so, how long and does this place repair tires?" He responded, "yes I've been working here almost 3 years and unless the tire isn't repairable, we repair tires all the time." So I asked, "why would the older gentleman tell me you don't repair tires here?" His response, "I have no idea Sir...tire repair is a service I personally do myself so its odd he would tell you that." Not sure how many would label this experience; lazy, tired, disrespectful, misrepresentation, or dishonesty but as a black man, I felt 1000% discriminated against. THIS LOCATION NOT RECOMMENDED: Came in on Groupon Apr 19, 2018 for Semi-Synthetic Pennzoil Oil Change. Looked like a good deal and I have used the Kwik Kar on Legacy many times no problems. This is for an older (1998 Toyota Sienna) that is well maintained and is driven less than 6000 miles / year (used only for trips to TN and Back to keep mileage off newer vehicles). I am aware of the age of the vehicle as well as almost every nuance regarding its health. The fact that there is some moderate crust buildup on the power steering lines as well as mild oil seepage around the front valve cover head gasket is old news. These issues are NOT functionally of concern and there is no oil or fluid or staining on the ground under this vehicle where is stays parked +300 days / year. (The White CONCRETE is CLEAN) I informed the service writer of the known issues as an appropriate courtesy and let him know that issues were of note but not concern as the vehicle is maintained and they will be addressed. Today, I required the Groupon Service performed as purchased. (I was getting ready to take the van on a TX - TN round trip the next day) The process was uneventful and in an appropriate amount of time, my vehicle was completed and brought to the front and left running while I checked out at the inside service counter. When I went out to my vehicle, I saw a significant trail of fluid and an active leak underneath the radiator (FRONT). This was brought to the attention of the staff who said they did nothing and declared that it was an old vehicle and had many leaks so this was dismissed as something that was happening when it was brought in. They were going to let me drive off the van with an active leak that they dismissed / declared as not their problem!!! (that did NOT exist before I received service a few minutes before) I insisted that they take it back to a bay and review more closely as this was not happening when it was brought in AND the ground under where this is parked is dry and unstained. I acknowledged again that there were the issues that were declared when I brought in the vehicle but this was entirely new and not to be just "dismissed" when I had paid for service. (Would not their "Full Service Oil Change and multi-point inspection" that I paid for have declared or listed this problem in the ticket? It was NOT! At least not when it was brought to me to pay for service) To make a long story shorter, it turns out that in the course of the service, the power steering fitting(s) had become loose. Whether this was due to moving hoses to perform the services or the combination of activities with just the age is still open for debate and not at issue. The nonchalant manner in which this problem was dismissed and the dealer's willingness to run me down the road with an unsafe vehicle are not only alarming but unforgiveable. Often, I send in my kids / friends or wife who are a LOT less capable of responding or even noticing issues. Had this been one of them, they would have left at serious risk to personal safety as well as that of others!!! This KWIK CAR could have become KWIK KILL. The mechanic identified a leaking power steering fitting where it entered the radiator for cooling and tightened. Then they sent me out saying that's all they can do. Again, I don't have issue with the fact that they tightened the fitting but the detached attitude and unwillingness to perform even the most rudimentary assessment without verbal posturing and coercion as well as the careless disregard for my or my family's safety are so far out of bounds as to put this dealership on my STAY AWAY / DO NOT USE THIS KWIK KAR list. Finally, I took the van to the parking lot on the side and inspected, cleaned and confirmed integrity and tightness of the fittings and hoses. I also added additional fluid to replace what had leaked out (SOMETHING KWIK KAR did not do). On inspection, I also determined that they left the coolant reservoir dry as well as the windshield washer reservoir. These are BASIC functions and I have not had other franchisees overlook them. We are now over 3 months past the date of this activity and outside of putting additional fuel in the vehicle, it has required no additional repair and the ground where it is parked is dry and clean. (We have make 3 trips to TN approximately 3000 miles since this service but I intentionally held off my review in fairness in case there was some underlying issue that was not the responsibility of the service provider and would support their posturing or blatant disregard for our safety.) Yes! I am angry 3 months later and NO, I would not return. In fact, this does raise concerns regarding the standards of care and service that are enforced by the KWIK KAR Franchise as a whole. For the foreseeable future, all personal vehicles as well as those used by my company will be serviced by a local garage that we establish a one on one relationship and there is trust formed. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation a few months ago. First off, they were extremely unprofessional. Also, the minute I left my tire pressure light came on. I called to ask why that would be and they told me I must've driven over a nail or my sensors are messed up. (I live across the street and did not drive over any nails on my way home.) I took it to Honda as they assured me it was nothing they did. Honda said that they failed to adjust the tire pressure (front tires require different tire pressure than the back - I didn't know this because my car is fairly new)....seems like something that should be pretty common sense to a company whose service is literally working on cars. Fast forward a few months, and I've only driven 3500 miles and my car alerts me that I only have 15% oil life left. I took it to Honda and they had no oil changes with Kwik Kar logged in their system. Meaning that Kwik Kar charged me around 90 DOLLARS for an oil change they never even did. I should have known when they put a sticker on my car that said "Next oil change needed at 65,123 miles" on my car which had 15,00 miles on it at the time, that they bs'ed everything, but I honestly thought it was a typo and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I also gave them the benefit of the doubt by not writing a review right after the tire situation...but I could not sit in silence any longer...PLEASE AVOID!!!! Calling the BBB tomorrow. read more

So, I took my perfecty fine car for state inspection and I was told by the technician that I needed to do a break flush in order to pass inspection $109.99. Innocent me believed it!!! Little did I know I was going to need a coolant flush, brake flush & radiator flush, however the manager brought information to my attention so I got it done. I was told that I was going to get a discount on state inspectionv(rec'd) & the brake flush & radiator flush, I did not see the discount for them on my receipt, hmmmm. The labor these days are to the roof I see. Spent $254.84 for this service I wonder if I paid to much hmmmm??? They said I would need thousands of $$'s of repairs - overhaul of my power steering system, new belts, coolant system repair, transaxle repair, etc. Suspecting that they were scamming me, I took my car to another place that has always been honest - Brakes Plus on Ohio and 121. They inspected my car and said that it passed easily. In addition, they are able to see what other shops have tried to inspect my car and they looked at the results from Kwik Kar. The database showed that my car had actually PASSED inspection!!!!! Kwik Kar lied to me and was trying to steal from me by recommending unnecessary repairs. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Went here last week 1/12/2022 due to oil leak , was told by the mechanic that they will check it from top to bottom ,was told that they need to fix the valve cover gasket , paid $581 for it and was told that it has a 2 year warranty, weren't able to drive the vehicle since yesterday because of covid in the family but yesterday my hubby found something is leaking again so we brought it back yesterday, left it there overnight and was told that they need to replace the oil pan as it was leaking cost is around $500 , NO ONE CAN GIVE A VALID EXPLANATION why they didn't saw it last week. When I brought it in to my dealer I found out that my radiator needs to be replaced, my oil pan is cracked and my radiator reservoir is cracked. All needs to be replaced. This has cost me over 1600$. I would advise any customer going in to understand what is required for a state inspection. I went in and they tried to up sell me on everything ranging from a cabin filter, engine filter and various fluid flushes. None of this is required for a state inspection. Furthermore, the employee tried to pressure me into a power steering flush and stating he would pass me this time but won't in the future. I got home and checked my power steering level and the fluid reservoir was filled between the low mark and full mark so it was properly filled, and I was well below the auto manufacturer recommended fluid change at mileage intervals. The nice part is they won't ever get a second chance to fail me for any reason as I am never coming back. The coupon they put out in the flyers for a discount on the state inspection is nothing but to bait you to come into the shop and they make that discount back and much more by the up sells they do. I watched innocent people being taken to the cleaners on unneeded fluid changes. Sure, fluids need changing but just because it isn't the same color as new fluids doesn't mean the fluid needs to be changed. There is NO metric for judging how dirty a fluid can be or shouldn't be to determine when a fluid needs changing. Thanks god I am a mechanic on the side and maintain numerous vehicles so I can easily detect BS. My last auto had nearly 300K miles on before I traded it in and it didn't burn any oil in between the 7.5k mile oil changes. All my other autos have had well over 100K miles before they were traded in as well. I advise folks to go to more reputable places for inspections and stop trying to save a few bucks with a coupon. I suspect 75% of customers get up sold on additional services, some may be needed but they have nothing to do with an inspection. read more

The place is nice on the inside, there's places to sit and a bar seat area with a plug which is great if you need to work on a computer. So I'm a girl in my mid-20s and I ALWAYS prepare myself for someone to try and screw me over when I get any service done on my car. BUT FOR THE FIRST TIME I was completely comfortable the whole time! Elliot changed my oil, topped off fluids, and checked out everything else for my car. He was not trying to sneak anything in that I didn't need. He was just letting me know to get it done eventually somewhere. I'm glad he checked my brake pads because my back ones were done for. Sadly, they didn't have a groupon for brake pads so I'm getting the service done else where but I really like this place! I think I'm going to designate it as my go-to spot because it's rare that a car repair shop will treat you like a normal person when you are a younger person. Took my SUV here thinking I was saving some money by not going to the dealer to have my oil changed...WRONG!!! Silly me, I should've read the reviews before I went by. My three-year-old SUV bought fresh off the lot, which has never given me any issues at all had the oil change and car wash ( Basic $5 car wash anywhere else) done by their Master Tech Jacob Mourad. After the service was done and I started my drive, I noticed black smoke coming out if the exhaust, I figured maybe because the oil change was just done it would go away but NO few minutes later still driving the check engine light comes on and my SUV start sputtering and shaking at this point in time I turn around and head back to Kiwk Kar to tell the tech what the issue was, my SUV has never had this issue before until after the oil change. The Master tech Jacob pulled the SUV back into the garage and went ahead to check what the issue was by using a diagnostic scanner and maybe rechecking his work. He concluded that he didn't know what the issue was but not before insulting the makers of the vehicle saying they were built here in the US and now are all P.O.S and regularly have issues. I left there feeling uneasy about the situation thinking my vehicle would stop on me, so I decided to just park it and take it to the dealer the next day but while driving home the SUV was still erupting black smoke. Next day still the same issue, while driving to the dealer clouds of smoke still kept erupting, I'm sure the people beside me on the road would've thought my vehicle was on fire. I eventually got to the dealer and they redid the oil change and changed the oil filters (same thing that was done at Kwik Kar) and the issue was fixed nothing else done. No Smoke, no engine light, no sputtering thereafter. I went back to Kwik Kar and explained to the Master tech Jacob and requested a refund but instead, I was met with rudeness and i felt insulted. Obviously, something wrong was done at their shop to cause this incident but they refused to own up to it. Post inspection I was told the air filter needed to be changed & the employee helping me would give me the air filter + inspection + a free car wash for a good deal better than the coupon. I was in a rush- my fault should've thought more about decisions- and said yeah sure I've been prolonging the filter change anyway. Midway through I changed my mind after doing quick research but the mechanic had already changed it. My total turned out to be $67 & I did not get a car wash! I despise employees that literally lie to your face about giving you a "good deal" and pressure you into making an instant decision. Moral of the story, buy your air filters elsewhere & take it to Firestone for a much cheaper installation & TRANSPARENCY. My wife took her car to this location for a state inspection today. She called me saying one of the employees told her the front brake pads were down to 10% remaining. They passed the car anyway, thank goodness. After she got home I removed the left front wheel (the caliper they showed her) and checked the pad wear. Both inner and outer pads had around 5/16"-3/8" inch of material left. I'd say that's AT LEAST 50% of what they were when new. My last review of this place never showed up on Yelp, but on that visit they tried to sell me every fluid flush known to mankind for a vehicle with only 27K miles! And they sent me home with 32 psi tire pressure on one side, and 40 psi on the other side. The sticker on the door jamb calls for 33 psi front & rear (and left & right). read more

I took my car to the shop and had a state inspection. I waited 90 mins to get the inspection done, and it was a very disappointing experience. The gentleman who did the inspection for me drove my car into the working spot and opened the engine hood, let it sit for 60 mins, doing nothing but chatting with other colleagues. 2 other customers came after me finished their inspections and left before the technician started working on my vehicle. The technician took 10 mins to pour some kind of liquid into my car, and then told me a bunch of issues that I need to address. After I said no to his up-sales, he left for another 10 mins before starting working on my car again. Finally when he finished the inspection and during the checkout, I told him there is a $5 off coupon for State Inspection on your website. He would not give me the discount, unless I gave him the coupon. Unfortunately, I forgot my cell phone, and I could not show him the coupon, I asked if he could use his computer to check its own website. He refused, saying his computer can not go online. I asked if he could use his cellphone to check, he replied he could not use his own personal cell phone to check for customers. So he did not honor the store promotion. I asked him if I can come back, get my phone and pay, he said no. So I had to pay the full price and went home to get my cell phone. When I showed him the $5 off coupon, and asked for a credit, he said he could not do the refund, only the GM can do that. He also refused to give me the contact of the GM. My invoice # 47663. I believe this is not acceptable customer service and it needs the attention from the management. read more
