Omg everyone here is so cute. The food is. AMAZING. I love when I place picks sometimes and just does it well. That is Kyushu. Their attention to detail shows and their food is so yummy! Highly recommend getting their veggie ramen (I'm allergic to everything but not this dish!) I got really lucky finding this place. I got spoiled with really authentic foods in LA and Orange County! This is actually better than my favorite joint out there so I feel right at home here! No other ramen bar is this good, this thorough and this consistent. High praise. Cute little spot. Clean and well lit. It has a bar you can sit at and watch them cook up the delicious food. We had the Honey Walnut Shrimp and the Karaage and Black Garlic Ramen. It was all good but I especially liked the black garlic ramen. We had plenty to eat, too. My ravenous teenage son couldn't finish his ramen. They had an array of Japanese sodas and we shared one. My exercise class was meeting at Grand Day Cafe after class, but they are closed on Tuesdays. Who knew? I do now. But Kyushu Ramen Bar next door was open. So we went in. What a great find. It is a nice menu, with lots of choices, but not overwhelming, or difficult to understand. Everyone tried something different, and no one was disappointed. I had the veggie ramen. There was so much going on in it that I couldn't stop eating it. Someone else had the fried dumplings and spring rolls. And a couple more had other ramens. The staff was very nice. Amazing!! I've been to many ramen places in Columbus but Kyushi Ramen Bar has been the first place in Columbus where I have had a flavorful and delectable Tonkatsu Ramen. The Shoyu Ramen was just as good and the noodles in both were perfectly chewy yet not super heavy like other ramen places tend to be. The Kyushu Karaage was perfectly crisp and everything was piping hot! It was such a pleasure dining in from our attentive and kind waiter to the cute decor and amazing food. UUUUUUMami! Loved the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with pork. Everything was cooked to perfection - wonderful broth, delicious noodles, heat with real flavor, not just heat and the pork was juicy and tender. The Kyushu Karaage didn't make it all the way home (yeah, I drove 35 miles to try this and nom nommed them the whole way!). I couldn't enjoy the ramen dish right away so it went into the fridge for reheating the next day. And yes, it was still an amazing treat. If it's that good reheated, I can't wait to visit and enjoy it on the spot. Ordered the vegetarian ramen bowl for a friend and he loved his as well. It's tough to execute this well during a soft opening but Team Kyushu did! I stopped in mid-afternoon on Tuesday and tables were almost full - great sign when a restaurant is busy between lunch and dinner. Excited to enjoy this again! read more

Wonderful little ramen bar than opened in Grandview. This was the best ramen we've had outside Japan, and certainly the best we've had in Columbus. The service was excellent as well, our teapot was never empty. Their vegetarian ramen was delicious, and I loved that their tofu wasn't fried but was still very flavorful. Their chef was trained by Ramen masters in Japan and LA and it definitely shows. I look forward to returning and trying everything on their menu. read more

Was greeted by a super friendly and upbeat staff - which we know can be so refreshing these days. I ordered and app and the spicy ramen and was in pure bliss through the whole experience. Dinner here was AMAZING!! Our server was so kind, he kept the drinks coming and was so helpful in making recommendations! We started with pan fried pork gyoza, which were really yummy and came with a delicious sauce. I had the spicy tonkatsu ramen, which wasn't too spicy and was so flavorful. The portion sizes are excellent here, we both took home leftovers. you're getting a great bang for your buck with the entrees and the ramen is priced lower than some other high-end ramen shops in Columbus. My dining partner got the yakudon grilled chicken and rice bowl and he loved it! The grilled chicken was so flavorful and his meal came with a green salad with a really good ginger dressing. I also ordered green tea which came in a cool authentic pot with free refills. We sat at the ramen bar and the chef was really nice to us. Dinner for two with tip under $60 was a great deal. The Kyushu Ramen Bar was an amazing Japanese Restaurant, maybe even one of the best in have ever been to. The ramen was easily the best I've ever had, I personally ordered the chicken in mine but my family who had pork said it was good. For drinks, they had some Ramuné soda with a marble that you push in using plastic. The Kyushu Dumplings were incredible, similar to the ramen being the best I've ever had. It was soft and flavorful, and not bland and overpowered by soy sauce. The service was great and the server we had was nice, was open to special requests, and even made conversations after our meal. The ramen was the main event and did not disappoint. The noodles were thin, but not too thin, the broth was flavorful and complimented the other ingredients well. To note they had many gluten free options for those who are gluten free. The mochi was also amazing. The dough was chewy and soft, while the ice cream was not too melted but not frozen hard, and the flavor was there! The pork bun was soft, the bun was chewy but not too chewy, and the pork inside was very flavorful. The interior was inviting and they had good wall paintings and cool decorations. The broth was delicious, spicy but not too spicy with a lot of flavor. The broth is lighter than what I have had at other ramen restaurants, which I liked. I chatted with one of the workers about the menu and he kindly explained some of the items as well as options that had been edited as they are still in the process of printing menus! I got the curry ramen with extra onion and mung beans. Super good! My only complaints was that I was missing the corn and the extra add ins are really expensive for the measly amount it got. 1.50 for maybe a half oz extra of each is kind of lame. Just found out that the owner of this restaurant (who also owns Happy House across the street) keeps tips on all take out orders. This is an illegal practice and is unfair to the employees, who are the only people allowed to receive tips in the state of Ohio. Additionally the ramen is mediocre and they barely give you any pork chashu. Plenty of better options out there. No need to support businesses that cheat their employees out of tips. read more
