Came out to Denton today and found this restaurant. It's unassuming from the outside but inside is such a vibe. It's perfectly decorated the little cozy rooms that you could sit with your girlfriends or have some private space. We ordered the lemon blueberry crêpes and the ham, egg and cheese croissant sandwich. Both were exceptionally delicious! But the star of the show was the sugar-free caramel latte. We are connoisseurs of lattes wherever we go and this was by far the best we've had. We got a second one on the way out after we discovered that between eight and nine Wednesday through Sunday they are half price. Great deal! Will definitely go there again!

Hidden around a small corner outside of Denton square is this adorable restraint. L'Amitie Bistro is tucked inside an old building, and the charm of the old place remains constant throughout your experience. It honestly felt like I was going to a families house for lunch... it was just that comfortable and peaceful there. They played old French music - but lightly so you can hear it but let it be the focus of your experience. I ordered the caprese panini and it came with homemade chips. It was delightful! Some caprese sandwiches feel like they're missing some with me at other restaurants... like I could have slapped it together myself. But not here, it was created with care and I tasted it with every bite. I also ordered one pancake with homemade blueberry compote - and oh my! It was delicious.

Our honest server sought us out in the parking lot. My daughter forgot this monetary gift (given to her by her grandma) at our table.

We came as a party of 8 this morning to celebrate an early Mother's Day. The French country ambience was lovely and our tables were ready the moment we walked in the door. Our server, Kate, was friendly and attentive. She even took our 80 year old mother by the hand and escorted her to the lady's room. But even more amazing, she sought us out and found us in the parking lot because my 19 year old daughter accidentally left a white envelope at her seat with "$100" written on the outside of it, a gift given to her from her grandmother earlier this morning. Kate could've easily kept it and we would have understood and considered it a good life lesson. Kate's integrity, alone, ought to be recognized and commended. Her parents raised a wonderful human being! She is an asset to this establishment, and anywhere else she lands.

Back again! The little building keeps trying! This time we are here for brunch before a big shopping day! The service was excellent, and we started with some nice latte's, and I had the French Madeline! They have a good selection of syrups to add in! The Dirty Chai was also amazing! We enjoyed the beignets, which were a little different, but we got gentle crispy outsides, and soft fluffy insides, so we were pretty happy! However, we came for the Belgian Waffle! Chocolate chips, bacon and maple made it rock! None of that made it to the take home bag! In and out, quick and easy, reasonable pricing! 5 STARS

Looked forward to visiting this gorgeous place again on our trip to Denton. Absolutely beautiful inside and outside Friendly staff and speedy service. Loved that they even stock the bathroom with items you may need. Feminine products and diapers! Just in case If all of that wasn't enough- the food is mouthwatering and the coffee is absolutely lucious! The waffles soft yet toasty and the ham and cheese omelette was so fluffy. Absolutely a must visit when in Denton

My husband and I had brunch here on our 30th Anniversary. We made a reservation in advance and they saved us the cutest table behind a half wall where we could still see the restaurant but were more secluded and it was adorable! This was our first time here and it did not disappoint! Our drinks were perfect- I got a London fog earl grey and my husband tried a seasonal coffee. We started with a biscuits and sausage gravy and it was absolutely perfect. The gravy had so much flavor and is not the boring bland traditional southern white gravy. I opted for a seasonal omelette and my husband had a seasonal/special waffle so unfortunately we haven't tried anything on their standard menu beyond the biscuits and gravy. But the food was all outstanding. The service was excellent. And at the end of our meal they brought us a chocolate croissant with Happy Anniversary on it! Have been planning our next visit to return with our family since we left. PS- parking is super easy/lot surrounds the building.

I went to yoga in the area and my friend wanted to go to brunch. I pulled up my hand dandy yelp and found this place. We drove up and this was a nice little restaurant in downtown Denton. There was a wait, so I ordered a Dirty Chai. It was pretty good but had to add-in additional sugar free syrup. We were seated and I ordered a cranberry mimosa and the croissant sandwich with breakfast potatoes. This was a decent sandwich. I only ate 1/2 of everything. I ended up having it for breakfast next day. If you are looking for a place to have a nice brunch this would be a nice place to eat.

What a cute place! Perfect for groups, couples, solo visits, families, and even a cozy mother-daughter outing. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the bathroom even has a diaper basket--such a thoughtful touch for parents! I had the potatoes with eggs and bacon--really flavorful and satisfying. I also tried the lavender latte with oat milk--smelled amazing and tasted just as good. My colleague enjoyed the Capers Panini and sweet potato chips--she said both were absolutely delicious. My other colleague had to take her food to go. The only miss for me was the pancake. The first one was undercooked and doughy, but they kindly brought out a better-cooked version. Still, the flavor just wasn't for me. Now I know not to order it again. Tips: Some signs for parking and the entrance would be helpful, since it's located in a residential neighborhood and easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area. The waitress was attentive and delightful! All in all, a charming spot with great food and a thoughtful vibe. I'll definitely be back with friends and family!

The service and food are always excellent. The decor has an English tearoom vibe. Not my thing, but the women in my life love it! Definitely will be back.

Great place to visit! HIGHLY recommend. Atmosphere is relaxing and quaint. The staff were lovely. And the Food was TOP NOTCH! No real issue, other than, possibly bringing a knife along with the Porc Au Cidre for cutting. Prices are a little steep for our area, but great dinner for special evenings.

I freakin love this place. I went to this place two days in a row and drove in the rain to try there French Madeline and crepes. Worth it and had to come back the next day for gravy and biscuits. I wish my tummy could handle more food because the French toast is so good. Customer service was great and the servers have great recommendations and there honest about the recommendations too which is nice. Ambience is super cozy and cute and it's like visiting your friends house for brunch.

We are pretty patient but dang this place has the worst customer service we've experienced in a long time. One disaster after another today made it really bad. Told half hour wait, after an hour I asked what's up and they sat us right away. Multiple tables open. Constantly told that the large parties were being taken care of before ours. Drinks never came out. Had to ask for them when food came out. No silverware. You name it, they jacked it up. It's a shame because food was decent.

Nice little brunch place! No one could tell me if we could bring our own bubbles though so that's an issue. BYOB doesn't require a license and I would like the option to bring my own. However, this was our first time here AND it was pretty good! We ordered a strawberry shortcake Belgian waffle for the table. My hubby and our friend ordered omelets. I had already had eggs that morning so I opted for the lunch, grilled chicken on a great Caesar wedge with romaine lettuce. The waffle was the hit of the table! Homemade strawberry cream cheese smack in the middle of a giant waffle with fresh berries. Next time, I'd ask for the waffle to be crispy, it was soft. Either way, it's delicious! Go there, get some. Life is too short for boring food! This is a very decent option in little D - away from the bustle of other places. You'll like it!

We started with the complimentary bread, and the butter served with it was so delicious I wanted to buy some--unfortunately, they don't sell it. For appetizers, my husband ordered the French onion soup, and I chose the escargot. He thoroughly enjoyed the soup. The escargot was enjoyable, though not my personal favorite. I especially liked the foie gras pâté, which was rich, creamy, and flavorful. For the mains, my husband had the beef tenderloin with cognac-black peppercorn sauce and thin French fries. He said the steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was exceptional. I ordered the duck breast, which was tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. For dessert, we shared the brandy ice, which was refreshing and similar to a smoothie, and I had the classic crème brûlée, which was a wonderful way to end the meal.

We spent about 2 hours enjoying the offerings of the restaurant. They advertise a minimum of $59 per guest, but unless you frugally navigate the menu and order water I would plan to spend $100-150 per diner to get the full experience . Location: the restaurant is in a very small cottage style "house", which was PERFECT. It had so much character and really was a unique dining experience. We loved the restaurant - and had zero issues with parking. Food (and wine): the food was very good and honestly you get a lot of it. We did French onion soup, scallops, tartare, steak frites, duck, the included salad, and two desserts. Everything was genuinely very well prepared. The only thing we did not enjoy were the scallops, they were seared on one side and honestly just seemed underdone - but we're not scallop experts by any means so take that with a grain of salt. Everything else was very very good. I would highly recommend the steak frites and the duck. We will 100% come back just for the food alone. We let our waitress and the wine expert guide us with a tailored wine paring with each grouping of our dishes. This experience was very well executed - and don't skip the wine room, take a look. Service: the service was good, not amazing. The staff to table ratio felt overwhelmingly in favor of the staff, but the service didn't necessarily directly reflect that. We were celebrating a birthday which was articulated in our reservation but unfortunately that was overlooked but happily accommodated when mentioned. This was prime time on a Saturday and we were in no hurry, so not really a major impact for us. Someone who was a stickler for perfect service on a rather expensive meal might say otherwise. Overall we had a great time, and will certainly be back. Thanks for providing Fort Worth with a taste of France!

As you can see from posted pics here on Yelp the restaurant is classy with a brasserie ambiance and vibe. We elected to be seated in one of the very comfortable booths across from the attractive bar with its red, upholstered swivel stools. My wife opted for a glass of Pinot Grigio and I a Sazerac. The Sazarac was OK, but overpowered in this pour by the bitters (and I'm one who loves both Angostura and Peychaud bitters. I drink them both straight whenever I have a slightly queasy stomach and enjoy them straight). For starters we shared a bowl of French onion soup which on this chilly early winter morning was a comforting and savory start to our brunch meal. My wife went with the eggs Benedict and I decided to try the Oeufs en Cocotte, a dish I encountered here for the first time ever. The eggs Benedict, my wife reports, was excellent. Perfectly poached eggs, large slices of a tender and flavorful ham over a croissant-like puff pastry that had been split and grilled to perfection in butter on the flat top, topped with a nicely done Hollandaise sauce. Happily for me, she left a half of the butter grilled pastry. It was divine. Likewise the Oeufs en Cocotte, eggs poached in a shallot cream sauce, was heavenly. Cannot wait to enjoy this again! Perfectly cooked eggs in a flavorful, steaming hot, shallot and cream sauce. So good. Our server was perfectly attentive and very helpful, answering clearly our questions about the preparations of the dishes. So looking forward to our next visit.
