What a wonderful experience at Bazille! This place was such a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service truly made the visit memorable. The young man who helped us (I believe his name was Joe or Jesse) was absolutely incredible. He was kind, patient, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about their guests, and he was truly a gem. He made the whole experience feel special. The food was fantastic. The soups were so flavorful and comforting, and the dishes we tried were fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Bazille is known for its seasonal menu, creative American dishes, fresh salads, handmade pizzas, sandwiches, seafood options, and their signature cocktails. Their rotating specials and seasonal features are always a fun reason to come back and try something new. One of the highlights is being able to enjoy a great meal while taking a break from shopping at Nordstrom. It has a more relaxed, upscale feel without feeling stuffy, making it a perfect spot for lunch, a casual dinner, or catching up with friends. Bazille used to be one of my favorite Nordstrom spots, and while the food is still good -- the fish & chips were tasty -- the portions have gotten noticeably smaller for the price. The Lemon Ricotta cookie is about half the size it used to be, and even the crostinis are smaller than what they served 10-15 years ago. The service has slipped too. It no longer feels polished or attentive, and the restaurant overall just feels tired. Unfortunately, that seems to match the direction of Nordstrom in general. The store itself has declined so much over the years, and the experience just isn't what it used to be. It's disappointing to say this, but I won't be coming back. read more

Bazille is always a safe lunch spot in Stonebriar mall. Stopped in with some friends after some shopping and it got the spot. We had the salmon niçoise salad, soup, sandwiches and salad with steak. I've tried pretty much everything- love, love, the Kung Pow Brussels; so much I ask for the recipe and they printed it off for me and I cooked this as an appetizer/side for our Christmas dinner! Showed up Saturday at 2:30pm -- well within their posted hours (open until 8pm). We were seated right away... and that was the last human interaction we had. No menus. No water. No "be right with you." Just 20 solid minutes of being completely ignored while the staff wandered around like background extras in a restaurant-themed sitcom. Two servers walked by us. The bartender made an appearance around us - not to serve drinks, just to loiter. Two managers came out and hovered by the hostess stand like confused lifeguards. Still, no one acknowledged the fully visible, clearly ready-to-order table sitting right in front of them. Glanced toward the kitchen and saw the wait staff chilling like they were at a NASCAR pit stop, just killing time in neutral. Eventually, we left. And as we walked out, the hostess (who had to know we hadn't been served a single thing) hit us with: "Thank you for dining with us!" Dining?? We didn't even get a glass of water. That was performance art, not hospitality. If you're going to advertise being open until 8pm, maybe try acting open sometime after lunch. What a complete waste of time. I ordered the Caesar salad , there is a hint of anchovies at the right amount which I love , and the chicken cooked and done right. I also love the crispy Parmesan cheese. My son had a crispy chicken sandwich, he is usually very picky but for this one he said that it was full of "yummynies " , very flavorful in a sophisticated kind of way ( his words!). I went there on a Monday around noon and got seated right away , Rocky, our server was pretty quick and very attentive . The place was surprisingly quiet with nice music in the background. Have been here many times while shopping at Northpark. Their food is always top notch. I especially love the ginger sesame salad with shrimp added. My friend loves their cilantro lime chicken tacos. I held a lunch for my teenage daughter's birthday party recently and I am pleased to write a review on the service and food we received. My initial contact was with Walter, Assistant Manager, when setting up the reservations. He was very courteous and helpful. The restaurant has a policy about no outside food or drink but he offered up an alternative for me (cookie platter in place of cupcakes I wanted to bring). Cookies were excellent especially the white chocolate cranberry ones. I understand they don't have them all the time. The day of the party, the staff (Josh, General Manager included) were gracious to let me set the table with a few balloons so we were ready to go when the girls arrived. Both my husband and I were greeted with the most pleasant waiter. Someone else described Clint as the best!! I 100% agree. In additional to taking care of other tables, he was very attentive to our party of 11. The pizzas, salads, and mini tacos were all very good. As we arrived in Dallas we are looking for something quick within walking distance to our hotel, which is at the local mall. Typically, I stray away from mall food, but it's Nordstrom's... ‍and plus the restaurant had a lot of nice reviews so we decided to check out Bazille. Bazille is a small French style cafe within Nordstrom's. They have a fully stocked bar, full menu and other trinkets like sauces seasonings for purchases. I first noticed the open kitchen view from our table which is always cool to see. Reassures proper handling and cleanliness of the kitchen. Upon receiving the feature menu, I was immediately drawn to the Aussie Lamb and Tuscan Vegetables dish. The description of the dish, whipped ricotta, pistachio gremolata, roasted potatoes, petite tomato and spinach, it all read FLAVOR. And that is delivered on!! The lamb was well seasoned with a nice crust from the grill. The roasted potatoes were excellent. They had a lemon and herb flavor that paired perfectly with the lamb. The petite tomatoes, spinach and pistachio gremolata was a nice touch that added a nutty, acidic flair. There could have been a bit more of those add on. And the whipped ricotta added a nice creamy touch that brought it all together. Excellent dish and excellent price point, only $24. We also ordered the crab bisque. It was very creamy nice balanced flavors. I was hoping for a bit of crab chunks on top which it didn't have but still really good. read more

used to be my favorite place to meet girlfriends in Frisco and the food used to be wonderful. now the prices have gone way up, you have to pay for the bread they used to give you (even with those prices!) and the wait staff are mostly curt, unfriendly and can't be bothered. what a bummer. read more

The Crab mango avocado salad was very small and the dressing was lacking in flavor (the dressing is usually very good). The grilled bread that comes with the salad was charred and burned - threw it away. The avocado was bad when I turned it over so I threw it out and luckily had one at home I could use. My wife and I were going shopping in the mall and thought about getting lunch. We didn't want anything too heavy, so I got on yelp and looked at local restaurants, and this beauty came up. We were served by a waiter named Max. He was outstanding, I tried the tomatobisque as an appetizer and my wife and I both ended up eating the mushroom stuffed ravioli. I've dined at Bazille in Nordstrom's at the North Park Center mall in Dallas, Tx. Within 1 year, a photo I posted on Maps has over 1.6 Million views! So, visiting Bazille in Stonebriar Centre mall, in Frisco, Tx, on Floor 2 of Nordstrom's came a year later. This location is slightly smaller than the Bazille in Dallas, but just as nice in design and decor. There is a nice full-service bar here, too, and a good variety of seating for all types of dining guests. Staff was pleasant & helpful, and very active on the floor. I dove in for a Salmon Nicoise Salad which turned out to be big enough for two! The salmon filet on top was a decent size serving, good texture & flavor, and not torched to a crisp like at Bubba's! The greens & veggies mix were incredibly fresh, and top quality. Balsamic vinaigrette dressing was savory, not over-powering. It was like hiking through a farm, but I got down to the last bite, and my waiter hesitated, then asked if I wanted dessert! I felt like a termite that ate a front porch already, and I had an appointment soon. I tipped well, and strolled out of this Nordstrom's feeling full, feeling great. This Bazille's is less hectic than North Park, and judging by my meal, has a topnotch chef. Great for a first date, a small reunion, a special celebration, or let's chat over drinks. read more

My family and I love to dine here. The Frisco location has always been good to us. We are frequent visitors and sad that at our most recent visit we were notified that the bread service was discontinued. We were offered it as an appetizer for $4, not happy. We then ordered our entrees which took a lot longer than expected. After what seemed an extended wait I was notified my salmon was overcooked and being re prepared. After some time food was sent out and of course it didn't miss. The food is exceptional and the portions are more than enough. We were offered a discount for our wait and extra serving of bread. Sad about the bread service as this was something we look forward to but at least the food has not changed. read more

This was our Sunday brunch rotation of places to eat prior to running errands. Nordstrom is one of my favorite places to shop. So, that makes it enjoyable too! Our favorite things to eat are kale & manchego salad, Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts (favorite!), heirloom tomatoes and burrata (with an amazing fresh pesto dressing), crab mango & avocado salad (light and refreshing), Badillo burger, and French dip. My SO adores their sandwiches and their fries. Cocktails and drinks are always welcome. They have my favorite rosè, Fleur De Prairie. My SO loves the Husband's Daycare cocktail, which is whiskey based. Have not tried the desserts but if they're like everything else, I am sure it's delicious! read more

Bazille's humble location within Nordstrom belies its impeccable dining experience. Off the bat, they were accommodating of my seating preference, and the ambiance was pleasant and calming. The service continued to be great throughout. I ordered the halibut and chips, and my friend got the gnocchi with chicken meatballs. The serving size was very generous, and I managed to share part of my meal and still leave stuffed. The halibut had a nice crunch, contrasting with its flaky and tender interior, and the fries were great as well. I come here on a monthly basis and the food is always great. Nice ambiance and a great selection of entrees, drinks, and appetizers. Living in Down Town Chicago, I assumed that every single Nordstrom's had a bar/restaurant/cafe, but I was told that this mall has been here for at least 10 years, yet there was no restaurant or cafe inside this Nordstrom's. The interior design/décor and surrounding colors play a big role for my enjoyment and this place is relaxing yet chic and modern. The bar area looks comfortable for both solo drinkers and for a small group. They hand craft some amazing cocktails and have a nice selection of wines. Lighting helps create an atmosphere for each table, I scoped out the entire place prior to being seated and I noticed that each table near the bar had its own light above each table. We arrived for dinner at 6pm, and the lighting was just right and the entire restaurant along with other elements created a very pleasant environment. The service both from host/waitress and management was up to snuff. They synchronized quite well which made our dining experience pleasant and smooth. I really enjoyed the Lobster Mac and Cheese, especially because the cheese does not mask the taste of the lobster and the portions are generous. My favorite dish was the Crab Bisque, creamy and simply tasty! I also enjoyed the Billionaire hand crafted cocktail. I must say, Bazille came in for the win. I didn't have the slightest clue that there was even a restaurant upstairs in Nordstroms, but it was a delightful surprise! When entering in the restaurant, it was nicely lit, and the atmosphere seemed warm, relaxing and inviting. My friend and I made our way to the bar, and were greeted promptly by Laurel, our bartender. She grabbed two menus and made a recommendation for a cocktail she had created, which we ordered. We were invited to join a table with two other great guys, Desmond and Dan, and Laurel was great at bringing our drinks out quickly to the table. Upon sitting down, the 4 course meals began. The first course was a french onion soup, which smelled divine, and tasted just as divine as the aroma! The cheese melted just right and all the flavors were just amazing! Second course was a kale and baby spinach salad, followed by a heirloom tomato burrata salad with a balsamic vinaigrette. I must say, I am not a huge fan of tomatoes, but this was good. All the flavors were spot on. The final course was a seared chicken breast with kale, brussel sprouts, grapes and almonds in an orange butter. The chicken I was disappointed in because it was dry, however, the toppings on the chicken were great. The reason for a 5 star is because the atmosphere, the service, and the company made for a great time. The wine didn't hurt either! ; ) We will definitely be back to enjoy. read more
