The coffee is fantastic . The seating is excellent and marvelous .The live band on Friday , March 14 ,2014 was wonderful . Would like also to hear some : Hall & Oates. That hit song : ( Sara Smile ). That's my grand daughter's name .The drink my sister treasures when visit here is ,her favorite ,the : ( Vanilla Chai tea latte ) . She states is beyond expectations . My Hispanic friend ,that I came with asked one of the very nice customer service professionals ,would the owner ever consider have the : ( All Day Karaoke Sing Along Fun Day Night ). She didn't know . I spoke with sister and some of the ladies at the beauty salon .They think its a wonderful idea. This way small children can sing as well . Fun on a ,Thursday with out alcohol. Fun with out alcohol . Singing brings happiness and is great for the brain ,endorphins . Some of my friends have noticed some of the new karaoke machines on sale . Costco's has a machine that a customer some coincides with a smart phone . The customer asks the excellent customer service operator to please look up the song on ; You Tube and then the customer is now singing with the artist her self . Technology is so wonderful . Then Amazon has some machine called the : Voco Pro Hero-Rec 3 .Its called a home karaoke machine. Then some company named : www.singtonic.com Also : Has a selection of ; Karaoke machines. The other two I noticed were the singing machine :1sm9901 IPad. Karaoke system . There are so many songs my friends and I enjoy singing .Such as : A song called :( Natural High ).The song is on You Tube .Its by a group called : Blood Stone. Or another great hit song :( If You Don't Know Me By Now ).This song was sung by : ( Harold Melvine & the Blue Notes ). Then : ( A Thousand Miles Away ) by The Band called the :( Temprees ) Customers can here these great hits on :You Tube .Also another great hit : ( Ooh Baby Baby ) By artist : ( Smokey Robinson ). Also : ( You are everything ). By the ( Stylistics ). The other top hits they sang ,also on : You Tube are : Betcha by golly wow, also ; I'm stone in love with you . Also their best hit : ( You Make Me Feel Brand New ). Also my very favorite song : ( So Much In Love ) By the : ( The Tymes ). Also : The Manhatons : ( Kiss And Say Good Bye ). The Delfonics : ( La-La Means I Love You. I don't know if the owner is possibly open to new ideas but this is my suggestion .Why not ? Some people may not know how to play a instrument .However ; They can sing .Why not have a karaoke system ,where one can look at the words and sing along .Then the other kind : Where the Smart phone looks up the song on ; You Tube.Then you sing the song with the artist .It will be fun .For A all day : ( Karaoke day and night day ,when ; Thursdays ) . With one catch : $5.00 drink an hour minimum. Plus: A request a small sign please don't forget to tip the very sweet and nice lady putting you're favorite songs .Thank you. God Bless. The place is a typical coffee place. Furniture is a little old and disheveled with crumbs all over.... You need a password for the wifi.... The music is so quiet that you can't hear the loud customers talk. It has a feel of an old general store... Super slow service. If you like Starbucks or Peet's coffee, you may not like this place so much. It's not as commercialized as some people would like. Also some of the food items are different. I feel like it's really a very mom and pop kind of place. Also the location is kind of weird. You have to really drive through windy type roads in a commercial mall to get to it. So getting here is not as convenient as one would like. There is an outdoor area that is nice to sit down. However if you go early morning, be sure to get s shady spot, or you will get a sun burn. Overall the coffee was average. I'm unsure if I would come here again. read more

I'm sorry to be giving this place one star, but it had to be done. A Coffee roasting company can not be providing such bad coffee. Many things could have contributed to the awfully burnt taste of the coffee (how they roast their espresso coffee, how the baristas pulls the shot, checking the grind for consistency of espresso, etc), but the almond milk cortado I ordered was terrible. The barista was not sure what a cortado was, but I don't blame her. Don't believe this place caters to coffee "purist", but more the sugary drinks type customers. The atmosphere was like that of a 90's style coffee shop. After going to places like Lofty Coffee, Copa Vida, Cafe Virtuoso, James coffee Co., Blue Bottle, Four Barrel, sightglass, etc this place needs to improve dramatically. At least train your baristas to properly steam milk and correctly pull a shot. That's the least that could be done. read more

5 stars for being a perfect place to hang out with friends and hold business meetings. Features super convenient, easy-to-find location in La Costa, free WIFI, and live music at night. Plenty of space indoors and out, even when there's lots of people. Coffee varies from mostly pretty good to DANG GOOD. I'll add that some people, particularly those that hate Starbucks, LOVE the coffee here. I do like their quiche and their flavored coffee selection. Good old fashioned coffee and espresso drinks followed up with proper customer service and a comfortable work environment. As I sit here, I can see no less than 10 people on their laptops. Over half are regulars that I recognize as working on their business ventures. The rest are students hitting the books (or electronic screens, as the case may be). Established in 1990 and still going strong, I expect its ability to roast its own coffee beans will keep LCCR going for another two and a half decades. read more

La Costa Coffee Roasting is a great place for quality coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. The coffee tastes fresh and well-roasted, especially their espresso-based drinks. The ambiance is comfortable and suitable for both casual meetups and working quietly. Staff is friendly and generally attentive, though service can be a little slow during busy hours. Prices are reasonable for the quality they offer. Overall, a solid coffee spot that I'd definitely visit again. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! They make their own blends of flavored coffee's! I tried the Highlander, SOOOOOO good! They have a stinky roasting smell that lurks around, but.... the taste of the fresh roasted beans surpasses the offensive aroma. The employees are really nice and focused. I think Jody helped me. I've been going to this coffee shop for as long as I can remember and the staff for the most part have always been cheerful and friendly. In terms of drinks your best bet will be to stick with any drink that's primarily coffee since that's obviously their specialty. When it comes to prices they're fair and I've never left feeling ripped off. If you're in the area it's definitely a place to try out. read more

I love this coffee shop. The coffee is roasted right there and taste so great. My favorite is the decaf Moca Ice Blended. MMMM I would love one right now!They have very comfortable seating outside which is a great place to relax. Stopped by La Costa Coffee Roasters for the first time and was really impressed. The coffee was strong and flavorful, and they were incredibly fast at getting my drink ready. Such a great spot to support local and grab a quality cup of coffee. I'll definitely be back! read more

They're good but not the best. The smell sometimes puts me off when they are roasting. Smells like burned toast. Strange. But the coffee is decent, the flavor options are good, its a safe stop on a morning when I need an extra boost to get going. read more
