We ate our food so fast I didn't have time for pictures. Steak was so tender and delicious in both the nachos and tacos. My husband loved the fish taco, chicken taco and steak taco. My mom and I split a steak nachos. So delicious I may have to have a whole one for myself next time. The salsa has a little bite to it but not so much it burns your tongue. Our server was very attentive and we never had to ask for anything he already had it for us. We will definitely be back again!!! read more

Had a great experience my first time last year, so I decided to stop through again and sit on patio. It was a beautiful day in the ATL. Ordered the Veggie Taco (corn flour wrap) ($10-$11) a joke and horrible. However, made it work by adding my queso and jalapeños cheese sauce ($8) and salsa. Also, ordered the 32 oz. Margarita ($16.99). It was so good the time. Asked for it to be made with Silver 1800. Key words "made with" Silver 1800. Yes, cocktail was great. Let me not forget your waitress could not understand what my friend was trying to order and had to call over another person. Both ladies were nice. However, they still messed up the order. Ok, time to leave get my bill and they have charged me $9 for a shot of 1800 on top of the $16.99...WTH!!! Giving 3 stars only because of the weather, patio sitting, good company and convo and that expensive cocktail. I would have been happier just with by chips, salsa and cheese this time around. So, if you want your cocktail made with a specific brand, but clear and questions. There's no way a shot would have made a dang on different in a 32 oz cocktail. They got me this time. Lesson learned. Oh, not to mention they give me fake/hydrated fruit in my cocktail. Pic attached is from my first visit last year and had REAL fruit. So, restaurants are doing this now...SMH!! What is this world coming to. read more

Very nice ambience. Not just another Mexican restaurant. The food is good and I love the retractable door that leads from the bar to the outside seating area. Ample TVs, great food, good drinks, and a nice selection of Tequila. I hope it stays this way. I'll be back. read more

Went to the McDonough location as we had gotten a gift card for the restaurant. We ordered the tacos. since when do tacos come covered with oil on the outside. It was so greasy we had to take the filling out and eat it by itself. the margarita was so strong it gave me a headache after a few sips only. terrible experience did not even use up gift card but will not return read more

The steak tacos taste ok but don't let the picture fool you the picture and description shows and says . It is 3$ per taco I payed 8 dollars for 2 tacos and chips read more

This was our first time here after reading some of the reviews and just being in the area. The chicken, shrimp, fish and steak tacos were all very good. The margarita was fantastic! Usually, you get the sweet, the sour, but very little alcohol. Not the case here! Jose also provided excellent service. We will definitely be back, and not just because we're in the area. read more

My family and I have visited La Costilla Grill several times since it opened. I'm very surprised by the negative reviews because each time, we had a great experience. Large portions, delicious food, nice atmosphere, welcoming employees and great drinks. As a California native who calls herself a "blaxican" the food was pretty authentic to me. And I loved the fact that the owner came to our table and made sure we were satisfied and enjoying ourselves. My advice, go try it for yourself. Most if not all of the restaurants in Henry County are "Americanized" or "Tex-mex" but I didn't get that from here. I will definitely be back again and again. read more

I'm a foodie. I rely on Yelp and your review as I travel the world. I am warning you to save your time and money - it will surely be wasted here. To start .. the prices are sky high, I mean $29 to $39 dollars and some up to $60 so I was expecting a big bang.. no! Had the street corn appetizer.. the corn was boiled!! Not a charred flame mark on it!! The mayonnaise was hardly seasoned. Tacos have no fixings! I ate PF Changs in Jax beach last night with a $40 Chilean Sea Bass so what's going on here - Nothing. The service is slow. I'm hey brought my orderno read more

Poor service. Incorrect pricing on items. Waited 20 minutes for check. Asked for 32 oz beer and was brought regular size glass and charged for 32 oz. Refused to correct. read more

Love La Costilla I come here all the time on my lunch break and it's always friendly smiles and faces.

We are a group of 20 or 25 who attends every Tuesday. We noticed a disrespectful behavior for the last 3 weeks since our server Victot left. They are rude, bad customer service, food cold and delay, bills have bern added an extra $10, Manager never came to the table on the 2 occasions we asked for him. We are taking our business elsewhere. Waitress would go back and forth with you, gratuity included so you know how that goes. A waitress yesterday was extremely out of character. She said We need to let the host know we expecting large group . This was because we complaint because they took long to send someone to our table. I was like lady everyone in here knows that we come every Tuesday plus you guys ssgiukd be looking at your tables. A lady next to our table left due to waiting for a server read more

Came on Tuesday as usual with family and the DJ music was extremely loud. People dancing around while trying to enjoy food.

Yo G.Elite 2023 Atlanta, GA 19690254 12/22/2022 2 photos First, I'm originally from San Diego, born and raised. With that said, I understand that food is regional, and I will probably never find anything in GA comparable in taste to San Diegan Mexican food. The staff here is friendly, thanks Hakeem! The music was great! The complimentary chips (served warm) and salsa (mild) were fresh. We were off to a great start! I ordered a Margarita and three tacos, grilled fish, fried fish, and steak. The tacos were good, although I would've preferred corn tortillas instead of flour (next time). I asked for a spicier salsa and was given an avocado crema, which had the right amount of heat. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I will definitely return! Three Taco Combination! Margarita on the rocks! Nia G.Elite 2023 Atlanta, GA 177141472 10/15/2022 4 photos Certainly worth stopping in if you're local or visiting however I would not make a special trip. Excellent service and hostess- beautiful decor and very clean environment. Plenty of space for events or large group outings. The patio is the best- naturally shaded closer to the entry and fans are centrally placed throughout. I had 3 corn tacos- Fried Shrimp, Steak & Fried Fish - loved the Shrimp(plump, juicy and perfectly fried) the Steak was a little dry but I poured the salsa from the nachos over it and it hit the stop. Good sized portions, fresh and quickly prepared. Tony E.Elite 2023 Atlanta, GA 375149700 9/17/2022 2 photos La Costilla Grill compared to other Mexican eateries in the area really doen't stand out. A GREAT PLACE, such a nice vibe, the food was delicious and our server Alejandro was AMAZING!!!!!

Worst so-called Mexican food we have ever had. Tasteless, overcooked, unseasoned chicken and shrimp in the enchiladas and tacos, and the waitress was totally clueless about the menu and her job. Taco Bell would be a better choice than this place. read more

Stopped by to get to go food. Never been and needed a second to look over the menu. The gentleman at the front was very very patient and informative. Helped guide me through the menu. I ended up ordering the seafood soup and order the fried fish meal. The soup was phenomenal! Very flavor, tons of seafood and had a little kick to it as well. Came with bread as well. Great portion size for the price as sometimes restaurants tend to give smaller portions when ordering to go. (Pictured is in a bowl as I transferred it into a bowl when I got home but that was at least half of the soup in the bowl) The snapper was well seasoned and the rice complimented the dish overall. I could've lived without the fries as I did have the fish later in the day so the fresh weren't as great as they would've been if they were fresh. Maybe I will substitute the fries next time. Otherwise, had a margarita while I waited for my food which was also VERY yum! AlthoughI had a to go experience I really want to highlight the excellent customer service. I wasn't rushed to order or an afterthought. The gentleman cared about my overall experience even if it was for a short time. I wish I could remember his name :(, I just remember he had really nice teeth lol. Would definitely dine again and reccomend. Want to try different items next time to see if they can keep the momentum! read more

Prior to my most recent visit, I would have given them a 5. My husband, 2 kids and I visited Friday with my neighbors. We ordered food and drinks and were having a great time. My 3 year old son had to use the restroom so my husband took him. On the way to take him to the restroom, my husband blanked out and fell backwards in front of the bar area. I immediately went into panic mode and began to focus on my husband while my neighbors took care of our kids. The ambulance had to be called because he was incoherent, shaking and sweating. We hadn't had a chance to finish our meal or our drinks. On the way out of the restaurant to join my husband in the ambulance to ride to the hospital, the manager stopped us to ask us to take care of the bill. The bill was THE LAST thing on my mind with all the chaos and with us trying to figure out what was going on with my very healthy 40 year old husband. I stopped tending to my very sick husband who needed me to give my neighbor our part of the bill. How gracious of the manager to take off 2 drinks... a coke and a water obviously because our bill for 7 tacos and 2 regular margaritas, 2 other margaritas and a coke was almost $80...Let me say this, neither my husband nor I or our neighbors was looking for a handout, we were only looking for a little empathy which the world seems to lack sometimes. I expected him to comp my meal at the least because he didn't know and we still don't know what caused my husband to become ill suddenly. Me being me, I absolutely would have gone back to take care of our bill the next day, but I just feel more empathy should have been shown. I will not go back for sure. I called the manager the next day to speak with him and he didn't offer an apology and guess what, he didn't even ask how my husband was doing. Horrible manager who needs more training. I don't think he is the owner because I've met the owner before and am confident he would have handled this differently. I at least hope so. Thanks, Dr. Lattimore read more

Somewhat disappointed-came because of reviews- compared to 3 other comparable restaurants in the area prices much higher and portions smaller- Disappointed in my "steak" nachos- my "steak" was hamburger and my friends "steak" quesadilla was hamburger as well. My medium shrimp cocktail was 17.00 ! There is a restaurant in Hapeville - the same shrimp cocktail in a glass twice the size with double the shrimp for 12.00. There seemed to be a lot of staff but we were not checked on regularly. We tried it but other places offer bigger portions for less prices and check on customers more often. read more

This was a great experience I love the food and service abs would recommend this to anyone

We came with friends that recommended this place. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Hubster tried the salmon tacos that he really enjoyed. This is a very new location - open only a week or two. My family and I came here on a Saturday night. The wait time was very reasonable (20 minutes). They were doing a good job of spacing people out in the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is very well decorated and clean. The waiter was busy and appeared to have his hands full but he was so nice and was clearly doing his very best. The wait for our food was very long, but the manager (possibly owner) was continually coming up to our table and apologized for the wait time. He was still training his new kitchen staff so it's understandable that it would take time. He was so friendly and attentive - both him and our waiter. He even brought us a couple of desserts after our meal to apologize for the long wait for our food. That said, I'm happy to wait for good when it tastes good! The steak fajitas was off the charts. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked! The guacamole was delicious and seasoned nicely. Everyone enjoyed their meals! We will certainly be back soon! read more

Well, I do a lot of renovation work, and as Floor & Decor is practically adjacent to La Cotilla, me, the wife and three friends decided to drop in and check it out. Afre receiving the ubiquitous chips and salsa, we ordered the guacamole appetizer ($11) seemed a little pricey for what turned out to be a saucer of guac. We ordered a 16 oz. Texas margarita w/Grand Marnier ($17.00 ea.) and the three assorted taco entree apiece. The fried salmon that we wanted ($6.95) wasn't included in the entree, so we chose from the chicken, shrimp and fish tacos. A la carte, they are $4.50 each as part of the entree, $16.99 total (?). Great deal, eh? Anyway, my three shrimp were tough and overcooked, the fish and chicken were practically non-existant. The bill came to just under $100, with a "large party" 20% gratuity included. Not being used to paying almost $100 for modest Mexican fare, we have crossed this joint off of our go-to places. we can certainly do better...... read more
