    Very reasonable prices.

We were in the area for a local event, and the food trucks were ridiculously expensive. I spotted LA Crab Shack in the mini-mall, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is large and comfortable, relatively quiet and very clean. We were seated immediately, and our server was friendly and fun. We had fish and chips, a crayfish bag, and a shrimp bag. All the food was plentiful and tasty. Dinner for 3 with drinks was about $40 each, and we all felt the food was both excellent, and a good value. I will most definitely eat here again.

Came out with some friends, they already ordered before we got there. We got the family platter, and added sausage and side rice. I prefer everything to come out in the bag, but they wanted it on a platter, which I feel the food gets colder faster. The crab legs were awesome! No complaints there, but the crawfish tasted very fishy. Didn't even bother sucking the bodies, because there was no flavor to them. The shrimp also tasted rather fishy. We also asked for mild and I think we got no spice. I was told it's normally not like this, so I'll rate 3.5. The big thing keeping me positive about this place was the waiter. He was very welcoming and chill and had great energy as an individual. It made for a way better experience while eating here. He also kept all our drinks topped off and he made it fun to be there! I will try it again, next time get my own personal bag!

By far my favorite sea food boil restaurant / location. The food is always fast, hot, and tasty. I've never had a bad experience nor had to wait a long time to get sat. The restaurant is always clean, and has a lot of seating. The staff there are always really friendly. I got a bag with ramen, sausage, corn and sometimes I get potato's. I also like shrimp, but they only sell them by the pound and I cant finish a pound alone. My favorite seasoning is a medium house blend, and is super flavorful. Our waiter Phillip was super helpful and welcoming, he made sure we had enough lemons and our drinks were always refilled.

I visit Mesa every year and this has quickly become a place I have to stop! I only order one type of protein since I come with one other person, but I always enjoy it! I ordered the 1/2 lb of shrimp with medium spiciness and the house spice. I love all the flavors in the house blend and the shrimp is always cooked well. I usually get sausage and potatoes and it's a decent price for a good seafood meal. The atmosphere is nice, very open space where you can just see everyone chowing down. There's a few TVs spread out and while I was there they had college football on which a lot of people were into. Our server was quick and efficient and was quick to ask us for refills if we needed them. I hope to be back next year for my annual trip!

This is where my daughter wanted to go for her graduation dinner and it did not disappoint. We had a large crowd and they were able to accommodate and take our orders in a timely manner. Food portions are always on point. We always leave with leftovers. I don't have anything negative to say and still prefer this food chain over others. Highly recommend giving LA Crab a try if you haven't already.

The best seafood boil in Arizona! I always get the house blend hot and never lets me down!

This location without a doubt is the best!!!! I've been to all of their locations but the Mesa is top tier. Phillip and his team definitely have some recognition! The food is always flavorful, drinks are always full and the service amazing! If you haven't stopped by to try LA Crab shack out you're missing out!!! Best seafood boil in all of AZ!

Cajun chicken pasta looked & tasted like it was microwave.. disgusting, don't recommended going here at all

I'm basically a regular at this point. Have come back several times since I discovered this place back in 2022. Consistently great food and service!

Service was top notch and much appreciated. The gator nuggets and hush puppies were delicious and filling at a great price point. I always forget to take a picture with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Food was pretty good. I feel like it was average. Nothing special. The server seemed a bit annoyed/disconnected. I believe the staff were on break and having a meeting in the dining area, and there weren't many other customers so it was a bit awkward. The restaurant isn't a hole in the wall but the decorations kind of make it one. Wouldn't go back.

Honestly amazing happy hour deals, spanning from 12-6PM every weekday. However, the seafood quality was less than desirable hence the disappointing 3 stars. Entire place was empty during lunchtime so there was plenty of parking. Service was incredible and she came to check on me consistently. Food also came out quickly and I didn't have to wait longer than a few minutes for any item. The happy menu offered cocktails for $4.50 and the frozen versions were mixable. Server recommended the pina colada swirled with frozen strawberry which I happily obliged in. Alongside the discounted drinks were varied fried critters and $1.50 oysters. =ORDERED= *Pina Colada + Strawberry: honestly tasted better when it was partially melted since it gave me a brain freeze. Strawberry was subtle so I would only get the pina colada next time. Surprisingly boozy! *Fried Clams: disappointed with how much batter was on each clam. Ratio neared 2:1 in terms of batter to clam so I could only taste grease. Minimal flavor and heavily depended on the tartar sauce. Needed lemon slices to cut through the heaviness. *Oysters: boy did I get a beat up bunch. The oysters were shucked inconsistently, shown by the cut up presentation of some shells. While the first 6 looked poor, the following 6 were abysmal. Didn't taste fresh and I had to use the cocktail sauce to wash it down. Yes the prices were good and the service was stellar but wow was the seafood underwhelming. The cocktail options were fun but I don't plan on returning unless the fried seafood starts focusing on the "seafood" component instead of the "fried". Was not so happy with the oysters and I wouldn't even pay $1.50 for the ones I got, let alone full price.

Spice level was medium and went with the 88 Special seasoning (a combination of cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper) - AMAZING flavor!! Perhaps my favorite aspect was that their seasonings were not overly salty - I feel that most other seafood boil restaurants just include way too much salt in their seasonings... but at Pier 88, you can really indulge without feeling like you're going to end up with high blood pressure! Extras included corn, sausage, and potatoes... and those were all delicious as well! I couldn't have been happier with this meal... so I will definitely return again soon! This place looked like it did a good seafood boil and was located near where our hotel was. Upon entering we were greeted and sat right away. He ordered a shrimp basket while I ordered my usual snow crab. Heads up, all the supplies will be brought in the bottom of the discard bucket like gloves, lemons, and crab crackers. I wasn't aware of this, and placed all the discarded items on top of it while eating bareheaded as I didn't see supplies, and no one was around to ask. Usually places will bring on the side, and I wish I was told that in advance when it was brought to the table. It made for quite the mess, but if we return I'll know for next time. Once our server returned to check in after 10+ minutes that's when we were advised, and I adjusted though I had put my boil bag in there so most had been soiled. As for the food, he liked his shrimp while I thought the crab was okay in flavor/spice. It didn't really standout out like other places I've been to recently, but overall I would return if I was in the area.

Main dish, my favorite, was the Sauteed N'Awlins BBQ Shrimp. I've been getting this dish for years. This time, the shrimp seemed maybe a little overcooked, or something. The meat of the shrimp was becoming a little stringy, but they were still very tender. So, I still enjoyed it. This has always been our choice for a birthday meal, either mine or another family member's. We NEVER tell the staff because we don't want an embarrassing fuss. I stumbled across this restaurant while searching for the best restaurants in Arizona…read more I found an article that consisted of James Beard award nominees for Arizona. Chef Roberto was nominated as the 2024 up-and-coming chef. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date night or a large gathering. One side of the restaurant features a large bar along with smaller tables. Then, on the other side of the restaurant there are larger tables. I love how the intimate dining is separate from larger gatherings. Definitely a lot of thought and planning went into the Layout of this restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess. Behind her was a small case featuring oysters. The young woman that seated us was kind and showed us to our seat. Our servers name was Nicki. She was also very friendly and had very good recommendations. To drink I started off with The Phoenix and my husband had a bottled beer. My drink was very delicious. Freshly squeezed citrus juices gave it a bit of a tart taste. It was definitely a deliciously crafted cocktail. For dinner I chose to have the restaurant week menu. Please see photo below. I selected the Birria dumplings. They consisted of Wagyu beef cheek, cabbage slaw, roasted corn, confit, mushrooms, bok choy, beef, broth, and chili sauce. We both thoroughly enjoyed them and would definitely get them again. For my main course, I selected the K4 flat iron steak, prepared, medium rare. It was accompanied by Chiltepin sauce - potatoes - flour tortilla - beans. There was definitely something about the potatoes and how they were dry roasted, then added to the beans. The way the potatoes absorbed the residual liquid from the beans created a delicious melody of flavors. Steak was delicious and perfectly. K4 is a. premium Meat shop in Prescott, Arizona. There were only a couple of tables being served, yet our drinks were never refilled, our table wasn't bused, and our rice never arrived with our hot pot soups even after our server asked if we wanted it. It seemed to be forgotten. What really stood out was that we ended up eating dessert with a table full of dirty dishes still sitting in front of us and empty drinks that had not been refilled. I also noticed that the table next to us appeared to receive much more attentive service. Their drinks were refilled, their dishes were cleared promptly, and staff regularly checked on them to see if they needed anything. In comparison, our table received very little attention. I don't know why there was such a difference in service. It left me wondering whether we were being treated differently, though I can't say for certain.
