Crawfish (2 lb) The Awesome Garlic Noodles
    Nini M.

Door dashed this place and it was disappointing. The garlic noodles was made with pho noodles which is not a good combo. Crawfish lacked flavor but was fresh which was a plus.

The food was amazing. I took my mom there and we got some crawfish and I got the spicy garlic noodles. The service was great. and I'm glad the staff helped us to decide the flavors. The ambiance was good and the location was perfect for us as well.

I was excited because the one in Houston is amazing (all Houston locations) I've given them several chances and they just keep disappointing me. Giving ppl frozen crawfish during crawfish season is diabolical over $16 a pound for that frost bitten bullshit pissed me off, I will never go back.

Mango margaritas and seafood egg rolls and crawfish empanadas
    Paul J.

Stopped in to try their Mango margaritas because my niece said they were as good as the Purple margaritas I normally get at another restaurant. I have to admit they hit hard. We opted for a few of the appetizers the seafood egg rolls and the crawfish empanadas. The egg rolls were crispy hot and filled with a cream cheese seafood mixture that was not too overpowering but the crawfish empanadas were too crawfish flavored if that make since. All and all the margaritas were my favorite.

I found an unidentified bug in my crawfish while I was eating I'm sure this happens sometimes but I've had a lot of crawfish and this has never happened to me before

    Crawfish Crawfish Cajun Pho

I got the Crawfish Cajun Pho and it was actually pretty good. The broth was flavorful, to-go packaging was well sealed, and the staff was very nice. I'd prefer it to be a little spicier, but that's all preference. I don't think I would get it again, but it was interesting to try out!

Crawfish and snow crab boil with shrimp fried rice.
    Chanel B.

It was my first time trying it out and I thought the boils would come ready made with corn, potatoes, sausage like usual but the menu doesn't state it's not included. It's an upcharge to add it separately. I was a bit thrown off by that and didn't quite know what to order. The lady who was taking my order was frustrated and offered me no suggestions or help at all. I felt uncomfortable and just randomly ordered some fried rice I saw and got shrimp added. The shrimp was overcooked however but, the fried rice had a good flavor with chopped white and green onions which added some nice crunch to the dish. It's a casual spot to grab some seafood. I tasted some of the crawfish and crab and it was cooked well but could've used a more fragrant flavoring of garlic and spices.

Service was fast and friendly but the food was unacceptable!!!!! Run run run , i sit at the bar and u could see part of the kitchen and it look like people jus playing around! , i order 4 iteams each one was NOTcook properly the lobster was mushy uncook/ raw i had to send it back .. the pho was super oily with uncook shrimp and crawfish inside of it , clams was superr hard and burnt i felt something wasnt going to be right, the next morning i woke up sick went to the hospital and found out i had shellfish poisoning.. i hope the owner takes more time looking over the kitchen staff its a big hazard in the kitchen i was in the hospital for two weeks!!! I willl never eat here again or recommend anyone to come here.

The food was not fresh, the sauce was nothing but oil, the shrimp was mushy. Overall 2/10 the potato was okay though

It's been almost a month and I am still dreaming of our dinner at Este. When we were planning our…read moretrip to Austin multiple of our friends in the restaurant biz from Miami recommended Este, so we knew we had to make a reservation. First of all - the vibes are immaculate. It's cozy yet chic at the same time, creating a space that is inviting but not too stuffy that you don't feel right at home. I wish I remembered our servers name, but she was SO nice an helpful in our ordering journey. We had some things in mind, but she also helped steer us in the right direction. One of my friends does not eat red meat, so that guided our choices which are below: +Tuna Tiradito: my friend who lives in Austin said this was a must order and she was correct. Insane. +Cachetada Taco: the two of us who eat meat opted for this wagyu ribeye taco and wow. Our server said it was the best steak taco in the city and who am I to argue with that. +tostadita de toro: stop what you're thinking about and order this dish. The most incredible tuna belly with the perfect amount of chipotle aioli and a hint of citrus. D I V I N E +Mushroom Quesadilla: so much cheese, but great. +Camarones El Ricas: so good, shell on shrimp with a great butter on top. +Bok Choy: we opted to get some veg, and this was great. I loved the tahini maple dressing. For drinks I got the tropical marg which as passionfruit. My friend got the Verde which was refreshing and delish. Shout out to the team for the Guavamente cocktail which is N/A - while I did not order it, the nod to Elvis Crespo was not lost on me. I also noted that they did have a good amount of N/A drinks on the menu that were quite interesting. I love to see a varied cocktail menu with something for everyone's tastes. Este also has a bar adjacent to the restaurant that is supposed to be great, but we did not get a chance to go. Once again our server was so friendly and helpful with recs of where to go for the rest of our trip. We could have probably done without one dish for our group of three, but what is a vacation if not to enjoy trying so many new things. Loved my visit here and would recommend to anyone in Austin. I also see they have happy hour, which is great!

It is almost like a treasure hunt. We ordered 7oz Texas Wagyu Petite Tender and Seremoni Black Cod*cod for dinner with the associated vegetables. While the food is very good, the portion size is small. So do not come ravenous or you will end up spending quite a lot of money. A few extremely convincing photos of truffle tater tots. That alone was enough to lock us in for life. Over the years, we've celebrated milestones here and watched the restaurant evolve. Chef Jakub took a short sabbatical at one point, and while the food was still good, it just wasn't Garrison. Now that he's back, it honestly feels like he returned with even more passion than before. The kitchen is firing on all cylinders again. We recently came in for the Valentine's Day prix fixe, kids in tow, and somehow it worked beautifully. The kids loved every moment, and so did we. Favorites this time around were split between the truffle pasta (dangerously good) and the perfectly cooked rib eye, which was executed flawlessly. And then there's David, somehow always our server, and somehow always amazing. He has an incredible instinct for recommending the perfect balance of drinks, reads the table effortlessly, and isn't shy about making things right if something feels even slightly off. That kind of service is rare and makes the entire experience feel relaxed and confident. Side note: whoever the pastry chef is... you are an absolute menace (said with love). The chocolate cake, paired with ice cream and just the right crunch, has been living rent-free in my head ever since. I'm still thinking about it. Possibly dreaming about it.

Both times, the food has been spectacular, the service off the page, and the atmosphere and ambiance magnificent. We tried three mezzes last night, and each was killer. The hummus was the smoothest I've ever eaten and with the brisket, it was killer! We tried the whipped feta with pistachios, and it was special -- salty/sweet and a little something special to make you wonder just what the spice was. The lamb & beef keftas were also excellent, with the lemon rice and a nice tsadziki -- and we make keftas at home fairly regularly, so we know what a good one tastes like. The only regret that we had was that we only have one stomach each. A second would have allowed us to keep tasting... Don't miss it. Even the patio dining was cool and refreshing -- and it was 86º when we were eating dinner!

Music Lane is a beautiful area with corridors bustling with fresh air, which greatly contrasts the area not too far south of it. Aba lies within these corridors, so I was completely gobsmacked to see the size of the establishment and its number of seating. There are outdoor tables, a dedicated bar section, a decently large interior, and patio and sofa seats for the people waiting. Even then, the place was completely packed, so getting a reservation is an absolute must. Not only are the prices completely reasonable, the food itself had everything that I was looking for: a delicious spread starter, a balanced fiber dish, and an entree with intentional flavors and texture. The Short Rib Hummus is a must get! It is incredibly filling and completely worth the price. The short rib was a nice meat protein since I opted for a seafood main, and the pita bread that it came with was lightly seasoned and was as fluffy as it could possibly be. I could not eat much of my Brussel Sprouts because it was also very large. However it was not too oily or drenched, and each bite had a perfect light crunch, which is the standard for Fried Brussels Sprouts. Top it all off, the Grilled Branzino was the finisher to my savory dishes. The grill gave the fish a roasted flavor, which was complimented by the sweetness from the corn purée. The various greens, roasted tomatoes, and corn pieces themselves added bites of textures and secondary bursts of flavor. I can see why it took a month in advanced to book a decent time at Aba Austin. The atmosphere was so perfect because the air flows through all the doors and windows, allowing the diners to enjoy fresh oxygen. This place is a must visit, both as an experience and a meal that is WORTH the bill.
