We LOVE LaFarm! Preston corners is a walkable distance for us and our family loves coming here for a perfect weekend Brunch. They have true sourdough based options, plenty for vegetarians and the BLT is likely the best in town. They also have very good coffee to pair with those offerings and have options for a bottle of wine from to sip on their patio. The deserts are wonderful and that white chocolate baguette shouldn't be missed! We also often get the scones and the orange flavor is a home run! French onion soup is authentic and a great addition to your meal for $5.99

Wanted a quick lunchtime snack on a Monday and therefore decided to stop here. You order at the counter and they give you a number to take to your table. We had the avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised it had so many good topics besides smashed avocado! Also had the grilled cheese + tomato basil soup as well as the BLT + potato soup - both combinations were filling and flavorful! Perfect for a quick lunch, meetup with friends, or work/study space with good food and drink options!

Great experience here at their RDU location. Friendly service. Good coded and decent Bloody Mary. Enjoyed my croque madam. Reasonably priced despite the airport location!

What a great little French bistro in Raleigh-Durham Airport! You can order and take-out or have table service. I ordered the Croque Monsieur. The bread was fresh and tasty and the sandwiches contents were delicious. The workers there are friendly and accommodating. Even their corporate office is great. I left without an itemized receipt to present for my company expense report. I emailed and asked and they sent it to me right away. Great location to catch a meal when you're at the airport to catch a flight!

I was so amazed at this bakery. I went for the white chocolate bread, but I wanted to get so much more. There were so many options to choose from. I was so intrigued by all things they make. I got my white chocolate bread and a raspberry beignet. Both were so good! I do wish they were warm, but it was still good. The cashier answered all the questions I had. I can't wait to go back down and go.

This feedback is related to a gift card with $25 balance that was rejected at the store at the corner of High House and Cary Pkwy. I gave my daughter this card and she tried to use it but was told it could not be used because either it was expired or had no balance. She even showed them the site showing the balance on her phone. She had to pay from her own funds even though she only went there because of the gift card. I just checked during this writing and the web site shows a balance of $25. I have also sent 2 emails via their web site and have not received any response. So now I feel like La Farm has stole money from me. The back of the card clearly states "No expiration dates or services fees." So, not a pleasant experience, I feel robbed, and now I don't feel like going to La Farm or recommending them.. Moral of the story, don't buy gift cards from La Farm.

Consistency of service & food has decreased a bit in the last few years. It is still a good place to go, but requires a bit of extra Grace & patience :) Went by to get a Pimento Cheese sandwich & was told they don't have in the kitchen. I've been ordering this for over 10 years & today, Alice told me they don't keep this in the kitchen. Oh well... it used to be one of my favorites. On the positive, they have gazpacho back for July.

Ordered an iced Latte with Almond Milk at Rdu location. All I got was iced whole milk. Girl had an attitude after the customer in front of me wanted iced coffee no milk and told her that they don't make it that way. Say what? I just wanted coffee in mine! $7.50 down the tubes!

Great baked goods and delicious bread. A little pricey, but worth it. Their sandwiches and salads are good too, but nothing exceptional.

Ask the Community - La Farm Bakery

Do they serve tarts?

I've seen tarts very often

Do they take reservations?

You can reserve the back room for events, but otherwise they don't it is just counter service.

What products have peanuts in it and how do you handle peanut cross contamination?

I think you should ask LaFarm directly and call them

Do they serve english fruit scones with clotted cream and jam?

Unfortunately no clotted cream and jam but their fruit scones and chocolate chip scones are delicious

Are there any Gluten Free options (cross-contamination is of course a no brainer in a Bakery)?

Yes there are gluten free options! Macaroons and desserts and I believe some bread options too!

Are there any vegan options in the cafe?

Yes. Very few but good options

Do they offer any sugar-free items?

There are a few technically sugar-free things (eg, salads). But it's a bakery - the nirvana of simple carbohydrates and glycogen spikes. And sugar is a basic ingredient to bread (it feeds the yeast when proving the dough). Good luck telling your…

We started with the beef tartare, which was absolutely delicious, along with the bread and butter. The butter was so flavorful that it deserves a special mention on its own! For our entrées, we had the chicken cordon bleu and the steak frites. Both dishes were perfectly executed. The flavors were beautifully balanced, with nothing overpowering the other, allowing each ingredient to shine. To finish, we ordered the crème brûlée, and it was divine. It wasn't overly sweet--just smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The service made the experience even more memorable. Our waiter, Red, was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. He was attentive without being intrusive, answered all of our questions, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. I can't recommend Jolie enough. Every part of the experience--from the food and ambiance to the exceptional service--was outstanding. We would come back in a heartbeat. We started with the French onion soup and it was so yummy. My only complaint is I wish it had more cheese... and more cheese stuck to the sides of the bowl because picking off the crispy cheesy parts is literally the best part. Mmmmm. Nice that they split it into two bowls for my bf and I to share! I got the steak frites. It was good, but my only complaint is it was salty. Like... salty salty. Both the steak and the fries were pretty heavily seasoned. My lips were starting to burn by the end lol. I also wish it came with garlic aioli. I saw the regular fries on the menu are served with it, and now I'm mad at myself for not asking to swap. Overall though, the service was great! The bartender was really nice, and our food came out fast. I'd definitely come back and just ask for a little less salt next time and that garlic aioli !

The reason for the low rating is the food. My colleagues could not believe that I ordered the liver entree, but I didn't care, I love liver, and my wife won't fix it. I'd never heard of Mustard-Seared Calves' Livers, but, loving liver the way I do, I was willing to try it. When the liver came out, it looked like a huge pile of greasy slop. I was not deterred and took a bite. The liver was mush; it had absolutely no texture, and the taste was just awful. Not wanting to tempt fate (I have had food poisoning before), I did not eat any more than that first bite. As I mentioned before, the waiter was excellent and removed the offending entree. He offered to put in an order for something else. I opted for the calamari appetizer, which was okay. They comped my calamari and didn't charge for the liver. I hope the restaurant will rethink this dish. I suppose it could have a following, but at the very least, make sure the liver is fresh and high-quality.

We also split the crab and avocado sandwich with house salad. The house salad dressing was amazing as was the crab and avocado. It was so good I asked for a catering menu for my next event. The salmon was dry, the chicken was on the bone with very little meat, and the mashed potatoes were surprisingly disappointing. I even took them home hoping I could improve them myself. I will likely return to the Tea Room because I enjoy supporting local businesses and genuinely like their drinks and small bites, but I would not come back for dinner.

My friend and I shared the Peach Gorgonzola Salad, Voodoo Trout, Yellow Curry Pistachio Chicken and Coconut Cake. Gorgonzola is first cousin to blue cheese and not a very subtle flavor but the peach salad was beautifully presented, light, slightly tangy and perfectly balanced. The chicken had soba noodles and the trout had mahogany fire noodles. Both were absolutely delicious and I usually don't care for noodles much. The trout was perfectly cooked with one of the most complex and delicious sauces I've ever tasted. Thai basil, ginger, cumin, garlic, coconut, shellfish sauce, with shrimp, cilantro, snow peas and tomatoes. There was a tiny bit of heat (spice) that was absolute perfection in terms of balance. The coconut cake was a yellow cake with a white frosting. Comfort food texture without being heavy. There was a delicate drizzle of lemon or caramel on top...we couldn't tell but it was delicious and I'm glad we didn't skip desert. We did end up taking some leftovers home but ate a lot when we were there. The thing that surprised me the most was I was full but not stuffed. Somehow, the very hearty, earthy, food wasn't heavy. I've never been to France or Italy, but based on the way I've heard people describe the food there, Maxmillion's is most likely on par with that. I'm picky about every aspect of my food and I couldn't come up with even one tiny complaint.

Server was attentive and did a good job of keeping our drinks and water filled. The food was a mixed bag. The ciabatta bread was quite good and we sampled from the octopus and mussels appetizers. I enjoyed the mussels a lot and my wife enjoyed the octopus (not my thing). The entrees were the biggest letdown. We had the cod entree and the scallops entree. Both were just ok. The rice that accompanied the code was bland, and the corn/snap-pea mixture with the scallops was very simple without any interesting flavors (heavy on the salt). We also had the sides Brussels sprouts and Japanese eggplant, which were average, and didn't have anything unique about them. The level of the food just didn't measure up to the cost for me.
