I have to go to La Farm everyday b/c their croissants are one of three things my daughter will eat (with french fries and pizza being the other two). The people at La Farm are really great- they always give me free kids' cookies, even though I'm never actually "with" my kid (they just take my word for it). They know she's autistic, and just load me up with kids' cookies, telling me it's "for your baby" (she's seven lol). There are a LOT of employees here, but each and every one is very kind and helpful. I only wish this place was bigger, b/c it's usually quite packed with people (and if you have anxiety like I do, you definitely need a klonopin b/f walking in). The pastries are really awesome. Croissants are light, flaky, crunchy- and will keep for 1-2 days. The french rolls are delicious as well, but will usually only keep for one day, so eat them quickly! I don't get a lot of hot food here, but I've had a few of their sandwiches before (tuna and chicken salad) and they've all been very good. I'm not a huge fan of their homemade potato chips, but that's more of a personal preference, I think. I've also had their croque madame, which is good- I would imagine "dining in" would be even more awesome. I get all of my food "to go" (for personal reasons) and so the croque madame does get a little soggy by the time I race it home- but it's still awesome. They say "Don't buy pastries at a bread maker" in Italy. Exactly. I love their white chocolate baguette, even a little too small for the price. Yes, the hard crust breads are tasty! My girl friends came to my house with fruit tarts, chocolate cakes, and some other pastries from La Farm. Everyone picked one and started eating. After one bite, no one talked and just looked at each other, waiting for someone to say something. Finally, one said "...I had enough, so please enjoy the rest." I was left behind with a big box of pastries. They are just too sweet (I mean the pastries, not my girl friends). The only exception is cream puff. Since then, I only have cream puffs when I want something sweet at La Farm. Their service is nice. I'm glad that they've replaced big tables to accommodate more customers. To have a quick light meal, it is a nice place. Their plates have tiny portions of this and that to complete the meal. If I want coffee at a cozy place after meal, I stop by at the Crema. I don't know why, but the floor is always very slippery. So be careful! read more

This is one of the cutest little bakery/restaurants in the area, in my opinion. On one side, you can choose from tons of baked goods (croissants, different breads, macaroons).. (STAY CLEAR IF YOU'RE ON A DIET.. the temptation is real.) There are so many pastries to pick from and they are all baked and taste like real, authentic French baked goods. The other side is a seating area if you decide to order food. Nothing super special or extravagant for seating... but it does the job. As for food, I would recommend their Croque Madame - it is a classic French sandwich with ham, gruyere cheese, and an egg on the most amazing bread. To die for! I haven't tried their coffee, but I'm sure it's great too. This is a great destination if you want to feel like you have been transported to a little cafe in France. Amazing food, great quality.. We stopped by a couple weekends ago to buy some Rye, and weren't disappointed. The place is hive level busy though, and parking is pretty scarce. The bread was solid, and by that i mean tasty and dense as hell (we got both the Scandinavian Rye and the regular), the scones were also tasty, if not a little dry, but we did show up in the late afternoon. The standout from this trip though was the white chocolate raspberry bread, which although a little pricey, is well worth it. read more

I'm from NY and visiting family and read awesome reviews of La Farm and was super excited to visit. The breads and macaroons were delish, but my mom and I had Sunday Brunch here and it was not great and for what we got, expensive ! They pre- make the food so it wasn't hot. We asked if the French toast could be warmed up because it was cold, and they said its pre-made and can't really be warmed up. My omelette was SO disappointing. I ordered a tomato and cheddar omelette and it had barely melted shredded cheddar cheese in it with sliced tomato on top and I added avocado. To me, I thought the tomato and avocado would at least be cut up and put in the omelette. Skip brunch, get a scone or bread instead. read more

Food is always great! I would recommend something with bread ( La Farm is known for their bread and baked goods and it's amazing). Sadly the service here is horrible. I asked for my croissant to be on a plate they don't put it on a plate. I also asked if it could be warmed for 10 seconds. They tell me sorry we can't do that for you we're busy. I've never heard of a place refusing to accommodate their customers. I've been working in the restaurant industry for a while and I'm always more than happy to meet my customers wants especially a simple request like warning a croissant up for 10 seconds. The lady at the register was not friendly at all. Such a great restaurant with such good food but the service is poor. Come on La Farm step up your game:/ read more

It was ok. I bought a loaf of wheat bread, but didn't realize the plastic wrap on the bottom had been sliced through, so the bread went bad after I only had 2 slices. You'd think they'd notice if they did that...I'm sad I didn't catch it. Also bought some cranberry bread and it was ok, but not so good that I'd want to buy another. Overall not impressed. read more

this is by no means a critique because i absolutely love la farm and have been a huge fan for a while. but my last experience was under par. usually the la farm bread is airy and light inside with a thin, crispy crust that works perfectly together. today, the crust was chewy and the texture was different....heavier. in the past, the hazelnut beignets have been stuffed to overflowing. today there was maybe a 1/2 teaspoon...if i'm being generous. even the le parisien was different. i wish they would bring back the choice between quinoa or salad for the side. i also swear there used to be tiny gherkins in the sandwich but that might just be wishful thinking...although if it is, i would highly recommend adding some kind of pickle for crunch. anyways, i know that la farm is changing and expanding and i'm excited for all of that, but i really hope that it doesn't come at the expense of quality. you have been my go to bakery since i first moved to north carolina. please stay that way!! read more
