Heading to an event at the United theater next door so we stopped in for dinner at The Cafe. What…read morea cute place! Dim lit. Gold trim. Enormous mirror above the bar. As we entered and did not have a reservation, we were seated at the bar. I can share- they did not fill up! We could easily been seated at a table but the bar was not an issue. Nice guys working the bar. We went very simple: tomato soup that comes with focaccia grilled cheese. The tomato soup was delivered with balsamic drizzle and anice grilled cheese stick. It was a great meal for a rainy day. It was good. We opted to share a dessert: sticky toffee pudding. It was soft and the caramel was sweet and smooth. DELICIOUS! Overall great experience. I would definitely return to The Cafe if in teh area again.

Took a while to arrive. The pork belly was exquisitely rendered with beautifully charred skin and tender meat. Lobster roll served warm was very good, the lobster was a little overcooked but still a highlight. Buttermilk Fried Chicken had super crisp skin and was executed and presented perfectly, great tasting together with the accompanied pickled vegetables and hot-honey butter. The best dish of the night. Sticky toffee pudding was as good as advertised: sticky, textured, with interesting mouthfeel offset by lightly whipped cream. Tequila based El Mariachi was tasty and balanced but not memorable.

It's an unassuming little shop in a nondescript strip mall, but this modest appearance belies some major sandwich mojo. Bread rolls from Brooklyn; from scratch pesto and other sauces; high quality meats and cheeses. And the best ingredient: care. These 3 friendly ladies were pleasant, friendly, and serious sandwich makers. My daughter's The Franky was terrific, a perfect piling of juicy roast beef, cheeses, and veggies (I snagged a bite since I was buying). My wife's caprese sandwich was very good. And my Spencer's Smashed Balls (a meatball sub) was excellent.

Break'n Bread Sandwich Shoppe delivered in every way. When you walk in the front door you see the chalkboard menus, pastries lined like trophies, the warm, hometown vibe made us feel instantly welcome. Sarah, the owner's cousin, greeted us like family and clearly proud of what is being built here! I ordered The Godfather, "a sandwich you can't refuse". Perfectly stacked, rich with flavor, and balanced like it was crafted by a culinary consigliere. My wife's Car's Caprese was fresh and vibrant, while our friend's Chicken Parm vanished before my eyes as it was unwrapped. In a world full of forgettable chains, this place stands as proof that passion still matters. Break'n Bread isn't just a shop, it's a reminder of what real food and real people can create together.
