I ordered food Togo so I could have lunch when I got to work. When I got to work I grabbed my bag and the soup I had gotten did NOT have a lid on it, meaning it leaked through the bag, and then everything fell out and made a HUGE mess in my car, and the ground outside my car. I then called back and the first thing the girl says is "what do you want me to do about it?" So after about five minutes she said that they could make it for me when I got off work. Which I appreciated... But I did not appreciate 1. Not having a lid on my soup?? 2. The attitude when it was NOT my fault that it went everywhere. 3. Being glared at when I checked the food when I picked up for the second time to make sure it was closed. And 4. Not being able to eat until 7:30, due to a lack of common sense to put a lid ON SOUP!!!! read more

Had the French Dip. The sauce has a hint of horseradish, which I could've done without. The chicken salad sandwich was great! Also, we loved the chocolate croissant! The coffee was delicious. I've had a few breakfast's here.Not sure about lunch or dinner.If breakfast is any indication,you'll do alright.Not really in love with the place.Something about the set up.You can get some of the food while you slide along with your tray.Take you giant wooden spoon and wait for the rest of it. I have been coming here for five years. The food is always great and the staff is nice. My favorite plate is the spinach pochette with decaf french roast. The only problem sometimes is how packed it gets and how difficult it is to find a table. Other than that, i always have a good time here. read more

I have been coming to La Madeleine at many locations for several years. Meals and pastries have been delicious. Today I popped in for 2 pastries to go - 1 almond croissant and 1 palmier cookie. I am not sure if the pastry staff, the recipe or the ingredients have changed but both pieces were not worth the calories to eat them. The texture was off. The taste was definitely off. When I was finished with my tastes, my mouth was coated in a lard like substance - no butter taste this morning. Palmier had no flakiness.. $5 down the drain. If you changed the ingredients or the recipe, it is noticed. No reason to return when I have a pastry craving. read more

Love coming to this place! It has a very European atmosphere. Classical music playing in the background. The food is great! The people behind the counter are always nice! My favorite is chicken pesto pasta with a toasted bread and mango tea. And for dessert a chocolate croissant with French or American coffee sitting by the chimney. read more

Wonderful staff, assorted drinks and product. It is worth the trip if you are in the area.

They are the very definition of great customer service. Management is also another factor for their continuing success. If I had written a review a couple of weeks ago it would have been four stars. However that was before they stopped serving poached eggs. Now the Eggs Benedict use fried eggs. Come on. Fluffy eggs cooked in butter. Fresh croissants that melt in your mouth. French Coffee the dark roast taste that your mouth is yearning for before you bring the cup to your lips. The fresh bread with preserves. Fruit that is always so perfect you wonder how they can do it and you can't! This is my perfect LaMadeleine breakfast. I can't always have coffee anymore, but the yearn and the memory is still there. For lunch, no one does chicken salad or caesar salad better, especially when you put that chicken salad on a fresh croissant. Divine! They offer inside and outside seating. They also have a bakery where you can get pastries to go or eat in. This is one of my favorite places to take guests from out of town. They always love it. read more

Ate breakfast at La Madeleine on Sunday and really disappointed. Tried to order the French Country breakfast and was told they were out of potatoes. Really! It was 9:15 am and how could there be no potatoes at that hour. When breakfast was finally served the eggs were overcooked and the bacon was way undercooked. Who wants undercooked greasy bacon. Had to send it back and then took forever to finally get the bacon returned. By that time breakfast was cold and no longer had much appetite. Management is poor, service is worse and the way you have to order is a nightmare. Takes forever to get through the line and the line was out the door. Have eaten at the Village location for many years and believe me it is run much better. Love to have breakfast at La Madeleine but believe me probably won't go to this location again. read more

The food is always great here. The place is usually packed, so I typically call ahead and get food to go. The staff is efficient and friendly. They have a good to go service, so it makes it a nice way to deal with the crowd. We also recently ordered catering to my company and the catering person was very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help set everything up. read more

This is Not a one star for the Webster location as I would give it a 5 star rating. This review is to Corporate and I just wanted to voice my comments on how disappointed I was today when I went into my favorite place in Webster to be told two things they no longer are doing, first, they are not offering the traditional Turkey Cranberry melt sandwich any longer and second, to my biggest disappointment in the same visit I was going to order our yearly Thanksgiving dinner we have been having for the past three years only to be told that this was no longer available either. Now, I am sure there may be some reason Corporate decided to not offer their most famous sandwich during the Holiday season and also to totally discontinue the Holiday Feast which was a huge hit at least at the Webster store every year and I for one would love to hear why. I surely do not understand why they would discontinue a tradition that has been going on for many years and totally just rip it out from the customer being able to enjoy these options during the Holiday. I know several customers have been asking the same questions and if you were a fan of the Holiday sandwich and was planning on ordering your Holiday Turkey dinner this year please voice your comments to Corporate and maybe if we are loud enough they will bring back our favorites during this time of the year. Just after 8 this morning 8-6-16, while enjoying a quiet breakfast w/pleasant background music, there started the most obnoxious chopping, right by the register (out front) that went on for a good 5 minutes...People were looking around, chattering amongst themselves that this unbelievable noise would continue for so long, breaking up the peace and quiet many of us came in for...I noticed several people chose to leave at this point...Finally, it stopped, and I went back to my book and coffee...About 5 minutes later, the young man starts up w/the chopping, albeit, a little bit quieter (the first one sounded like construction work!) I asked a passing worker to ask them if they could stop the noise, and he said o.k., but sent a young woman out to talk w/me...I explained that I thought the noise was very annoying and would she please ask them to stop...She tilted her head, as if not to understand me, so I tried, in very simple language, to explain the situation once again, and I got the same response...At that point, frustrated, I picked up my book, and walked out...I had not, before my interaction w/this young woman, planned not to return...However, this encounter just added insult to injury, and although I like the ambience of La Madeleine's over The Egg and I, I am very sad to say I will never return to La Madeleine...signed: a retired restaurant mgr... read more

Customer service by the manager Crystal here is the WORST. Never met a manager like her that had no care for her customers as she did. I special ordered a plain Napoleon cake on Wednesday. I called Saturday morning to confirm the order for Sunday pickup. I go in to pick up my cake and it's wrong, it was strawberry , The girl at the bakery register pulls up the paper and sees that the order says "plain". I ask to speak to the manager so that I can get the right one, and it was Crystal who had brought out the cake. Crystal never said sorry and never took responsibility. She tried to say the order was for strawberry after the bakery clerk already confirmed it said plain and they must have made a mistake because the orders are normally strawberry. I asked Crystal what can she do about it and she said "you can take this one". Really? I'm on my way to a party for my father in his 70s and was promised the correct cake. All she can say was "well did you confirm your order with a manager?" Really? So unreliable and inconsiderate. I could forgive La Madeleine for a mistake, but this manager's lack of care and the fact that she tried to lie her way out of the mistake is disappointing.
