I love me some Michoacán that when I do pass by one of these establishments I have to get my favorites. This probably isn't my favorite location but it's the only one near me. There's always two people working a shift and I feel that it's not enough. It gets packed and then the line starts forming. Could take you a hot minute before you get your order in. I always like getting the elote and a hazelnut banana pop. Every time I've gotten the corn I'm always disappointed. It's dry and the corn is not sweet. Pretty decent spot for treats and dessert. I have visited plenty of locations throughout southern California. I was surprised how nice and clean this spot is. I came in for two things I recommend anyone visiting here should get! The hot Cheetos with cheese and the corn in a cup. Honestly made so well here that it makes me wanna come back and get more! The variety of flavors for popsicles is big. Get yourself a banana flavored one, it comes with nutella! The only issue is the wait time. I've gone twice and they seem to be having trouble with their freezers. Ice cream was really soft. On my second visit, as she's handing me my cone she says I'm going to have to give you a cup bc it's really soft. I said ok. After I take the cup, I asked her for cups for my other 2 cones that I purchased. She said ok but I'm going to have to charge you for all the cups. I stumbled upon this place which is sooo close to where I live!!!! I went in and ahhhh it was so clean and so organized. I loved the lady who helped me with the juice selection. I ended up getting two medium juices. 1) Orange Apple Pineapple 2) Orange Mango Pineapple! Very fresh and good quantity for a medium cup! They charged me $6.50 for each. I first thought it was expensive but to be honest I'd rather pay $6.50 for freshly pressed juice than to pay $5 for some processed juice. Don't get me wrong. What we had, coconut ice cream, was good. Staff and especially other customers were helpful. But everyone seemed to know what they wanted and what was available. I didn't, and there is an element of cacaphony. The large selection of colorfully packaged snacks is mounted way up, by the wall menu. Still don't know where the popsicles are sold. A family at the next table was enjoying mighty good looking elote. Who knew that was on the menu? The elote flavor of sample ice cream was very good. Michoacana sandia loca is probably a Willy Wonka dream. I need to be there at an unbusy time to figure out what's what. This chain must be opening in many locations. Recently, I did see someone downing a vast mountain of fruit that was alternating with snow and ice and I was curious about it. It was obvious that the concoction was providing much solace. First time there! So happy I stopped over. There's a ton of different flavored ice cream and popsicles. I got marzipan and it was so good! My friend got Bubu lubu which was raspberry, marshmallows, and chocolate (for those that don't know.) They had tamales and elote which looked amazing and everyone was ordering. This place has literally gone to sh*t. The last two times I was here made me not want to come back. First of all, today I had a craving for takis with cheese so I decided to get some. I asked for extra cheese & the lady told me it would be extra and I said that was fine. When she rang me up it was $9.99 ($7.99 for the takis with cheese and $2 for extra cheese). That's RIDICULOUS! The bags of takis are like $2.50 at the store, which means they're charging over $4 for the cheese (which is probably canned anyway) & then an additional $2 for the "extra" cheese, which she didn't even put much of. I also went two weeks ago & got takis with extra cheese too & I don't remember paying that much, it was about $7. Now about that day, first, the lady at the front didn't speak English so she called someone from the back, we didn't want to wait & we speak Spanish so we just ordered with her. We ordered a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake, and the lady had no idea how to make it, she had to ask someone else how to make it. The other lady told her it was ice cream and milk (and maybe something else, I didn't hear well), she sounded surprised and asked "that's it?" That should've been a hint NOT to order the shake. Anyway she made it, she rang us up & we went on our way. When we got home my boyfriend tried his shake & said it tasted like straight up milk. I don't like CTC but I decided to try it because I thought he was being dramatic. He wasn't. It was literally like we were drinking milk!! It didn't taste anything like the ice cream or the cereal!! I didn't even bother calling to complain because we didn't want to go back & honestly based on other reviews doesn't seem like they care about their customers. They probably won't care to comment back on this but I'm just telling you all, be cautious when ordering the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake, and if you do, make sure you try it there so you know it's good. We went there on a Sunday and it was Jam pack. The wait times were long but it was all worth it. The employees there are very patient with the customer needs. Given there are so much different items on the menu, they make it just the way you like it with good service. I recommend that you give one employee name Sofia a raise.
