My coworkers and I have been getting breakfast from LA Michoacana the past 2 weeks. We always get egg and cheese on wheat with a large orange juice. Everything here is just so fresh. It's one of the few places that make their own orange juice from scratch using a juicer. They don't use the peel like other juice places. This is by far the best Mexican Bakery/Ice Cream Shop I've been to. Everything is very authentic and absolutely delicious. Their Tres Leches cake is also one of the best I've had anywhere. This is one of my top lunch destinations because they serve food as well. I've had their Tortas (Mexican Sandwich) and they are incredible! Ham is my favorite. These people are talented and generous! Paleteria & Pasteleria La Michoacana made the most beautiful and fabulous cake for our Celebration of Life for our cancer patients. This place is great, the staff is really awesome and helpful. You can get homemade ice cream, that will possibly blow your mind, I tend to get the 2 scoop with coconut on the bottom and pecan (which they call walnut) theyre both incredible flavors, but all the ice cream I've tried here is awesome! ALWAYS AMAZING!! I've tried an embarrassing amount of ice cream from here! It's so fresh and creamy!!! The Tequila is so unique, light blue in color, creamy, refreshing and delicious with a bit of sea salt and fresh lime!! The cookie dough ice cream has to be my favorite! Ohh, and the Walnut ice cream is the best I've ever had!!!! Ohh... it's all so good!!! Not to mention all the pastries, breads, and cookies!! This is hands down my favorite sweet shop in town!!! Dos palabras: ME GUSTA! This paleteria and pasteleria is very spacious and has bright colors that make me feel happy inside. They have a great variety of Mexican breads that transport me back to my time in Puerto Vallarta. They also have various types of sandwiches with or without gravy. And best of all, they make their own ice cream and popsicles!!! No longer do you have to chase down those old Mexican men with ice cream carts. Just come here for your ice cream and popsicle fix. I tried their chocolate which was solid. Great chocolate flavor, not too heavy on the heavy cream or sugar. My fiancee had their Oreo ice cream, it was grey-brown colored which didn't initially look appetizing but we sampled it and it was delicious! It tasted like a real Oreo and had huge chunks of it too. I only got a lick because it was so good my fiance didn't want to share. The icing on the top (for all you alcohol connoisseurs), they have TEQUILA ICE CREAM! And yes, it's heavy on the tequila. The service is great. All the employees were very helpful and eager to assist and answer questions with a nice smile. Wow! I made several visits here and I'm never let down. Oreo paleta is by far one of the best ice cream bars that I have ever had. They had 2 full oreos inside the paleta. They have other amazing paleta flavors. Guava, Kiwi Strawberry, Mango etc. I love making the treks up to Vallejo to get these paletas. I wish they were in a different location though. They're located in old downtown Vallejo and it's sketchy. read more

I love this place! I've only been there two times, but the servers have come off incredibly friendly both times, and the sweets are whimper inducing. I've had pastries, frozen bananas, ice cream, and popsicles so far -- hey, it was hot both times! -- and not one has let me down. This place is a little heaven in Vallejo. The icecream is fresh, creamy and delicious with beautiful combinations of flavors and colors. The young women are welcoming and very pretty and offer a tasting from the huge selection of icecream. Don't trust this bakery with your special occasion cakes. I ordered a cake that cost 180.00 and not worth the price at all. It would of been better to make the cake myself. The cake looked awful the fondant was all messed up, and they placed it on a greased stained cut out board that was poorly decorated. It only had a small ribbon around the board and you can clearly see all the grease stains. My heart broke when I saw this cake for my daughter's Baptism. My aunt paid for the cake as a gift. She was shocked at what we have received for 180.00. Then the cake was all dry and nothing special. Well, I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one was well deserved. I really don't understand how they thought this was o.k. to do. Writing this makes me feel all upset again and that's why I decided to wait a few months to write this review. These guys made the cake for our wedding. It was a sheet cake with a layer of chocolate, a layer of flan, and then a layer of tres leches cake. It was delicious. We go the cake that they say feeds 100 people and it easily fed 150 with some leftover. They charged us $150 for the cake. It was a great deal and very delicious. I went in today, around 5:40pm with my 2 teenage daughters to buy some ice cream and pan dulce, we we're very excited... however, that excitement turned into great disappointment, the woman who was working there did not greet us as we walked in or when we approached the counter, we took awhile to look at all the selections while the worker kept acting like she was busy, walking back and forth from front to back area, i made eye contact with her to let her know we were ready to make a purchase, she clearly ignored us and made it a point to just stay in the back, not ti be seen... this lady clearly did not want to serve us... and i believe it was because we were Americans... mind you, my family is mexican american with spanish decent, but on the lighter spectrum... this establishment lost any future businesz from my family... i will not waste my money on bigots, discrimination, or poor service. At this time, i am trying to contact the owner... I hope he sees, the business will not grow and flourish with this type of poor mentality of workers. read more

I would give 5 stars, but I don't want to inflate everything I review. This place is amazing! Fresh breads, TONS of different popsicle/"paletas" homemade. Big fan, definitely worth a visit. When I visited, I was impressed with their variety and selection on the menu. They have everything from sundaes, milkshakes, smoothies, juices, cakes. I got a chocolate -banana milkshake, and a borrachito -- first time I've seen one. A borrachito looks like a parfait. It's tres leches cake, with kahlua. Yum! read more
