The menu had a huge selection of different coffee and tea drinks and also a seasonal menu. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.

I ordered the lox bagel with egg and a hot pistachio latte. The latte was unexpected. I read pistachio/raspberry, but didn't expect to taste pieces of pistachio and raspberries. I liked it! Keep this in mind for those of you that don't like texture. Carefully read the description or ask ahead of time. Look at my bagel sandwich. It was so thoughtfully made. It made me excited to eat it and it was pretty tasty too. I prefer my bagels a little more toasted, but that's no fault of theirs. I will definitely come back anytime. And I had an EXCELLENT chicken Chipotle wrap at lunch that was recommended to me by the gentleman working at memory look. I'm not certain where these wraps are made. Another gentleman would bring them from the building in the same complex. I LOVED my wrap. They have a ton of seating outside too but there aren't any outlets out there so it's harder to WFH out there unless you're fully charged. But was great for separate meetings we all had to attend. I had heard that parking here can be a nightmare because there aren't enough parking spaces and people have a hard time finding a spot. But once again, my parking luck was AMAZING! A car pulled out right in front of me just as I arrived, so I was able to park very easily. Another friend arrived later than I did, and she said she couldn't find a parking spot at all. She drove around for quite a while looking for one before finally finding street parking. Last night, we also had some tiramisu, and since I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine, I decided to have a caffeine-free ade instead of coffee or tea. It was a little sweet for my taste, but it was ok. We sat outside on the outdoor patio and talked and talked and talked. We had such a fun time together! However, it was actually pretty cold outside last night. I remember thinking that it felt surprisingly chilly. But what was even crazier was how FREEZING cold it was inside the café! They had the air conditioning turned up so high that both my friends and I felt like we were going to freeze to death. The restroom is inside, and I also went inside to get some water, so I mentioned to one of the male employees that it was freezing inside. He told me that they didn't feel cold at all because they were working, and that THEY were actually feeling really hot. I went back to our table and told my friends what he had said, and they were like, "WHAT?! We're freezing to death over here!" The parking lot here is actually pretty large, so I was wondering why it was so difficult to find a parking spot. Apparently, at night, the left side is the café, while on the right side there is a bar where people can drink and also play games. There was a huge line of people waiting outside the bar last night, so I'm guessing that's probably why the parking lot gets so crowded and it's hard to find a spot. It was also pretty chilly outside last night because of the low temperature, so one thing I wished they had on the outdoor patio was heaters. That would have made sitting outside much more comfortable on a cold night.

But, like, science cannot explain why coffee taste better out of one's "coffee mug" but if one is a coffee drinker and one has a designated mug of their own, then one knows that coffee does taste more exquisite when the mug and the pour become one as vessel and brew. I am thinking the same concept applies here just in a different kind of way. Meaning that the work pod might not have any actual effect but a quasi-placebo or even self-fulfilling prophecy effect take place and make the person impacted produce work that sings better. I know my signatures are better when I use my favorite pen. I read a sign on the pods that ask visitors to only stay for 90 minutes, no more. So the pods of this place are regulated so they must be that important. And I can see why. At the basic level they are engaging to sit in and write within them. That felt good writhing, so I will say it anew: I ordered one of the best iced coffees I ever had. It was black berry with white chocolate. I expected the combination to fail in pleasing me. But I was wrong. Me. Not the drink. I loved the sweetness of the concoction. I also ordered their sweet potato chicken bowl. Another great set of bites, but not to my liking because I did not ask for the chili to be removed from the chicken bowl. But if the chili was gone I would have described this dish as the bomb or something similar. But the coffee takes the cake. I visited the place just yesterday and they had an exhibition titled the heartbeat of culture. I took a picture of two women just outside the bussiness on a festival day. They were wearing clothing of their cutlture. They were standing tall in pride, supporting each other, and reminding me that all people have a heart that shines brighter when they are wearing something that makes them feel powerful with color pop. This place is certainly a move when one is at Leimert Park or if one needs a place to work and they are just over the Hollywood coffee scene.

Made with coconut, macadamia syrup, and oat milk by default, it had a perfectly balanced, tropical flavor--great for vegans or the lactose intolerant. However, it's not the best spot for working or studying. The WiFi was so slow that I had to use my personal hotspot, and the seating consists of benches and mini tables that aren't comfortable for long periods. There are a few outlets, but you have to cross the street to a food court to use the bathroom. They have a shared parking lot out front. I'll definitely be back for the Island Matcha, but not to get work done!
