    Combination!

Stopped by the beach and stumbled upon La Palapa! From the first bite of their delicious salsa, I knew I was in for a treat. I ordered the combination plate, which included a taco, enchilada, and tostada. Each item was bursting with incredible flavors. The staff was kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be back!

The service has always been quick and friendly. It's my second time there and I get the mango margarita and it hits the spot every time! The complimentary chips salsa and bean dip brings up my appetite and mood. The shredded beef on the taquito is tongue for and ask for habanero hot sauce, house made, you won't regret it! Although it is very hot but delicious! The California burrito will fill you up that you might wanna eat less chips and salsa. Will be back to try other foods.

This place was great! We stopped in with our two toddlers on a Tuesday for lunch. The service was great, friendly and was patient with my 4 year old when he asked for just whipped cream to eat. Haha. Food was so so good!

The food isn't bad but it just lacks seasoning, I've gotten tacos, quesadillas, etc. and you get a lot of food for your money but the food lacks flavor and seasoning. We ate there twice to make sure we gave it a chance.

This food we had was probably our least favorite of the four different restaurants we ate at during our stay in Port Orchard. My friend and I love Mexican, but this just didn't hit the spot right. The food for the price was decent, but the meal as a whole lacked a bit of flavor. The retried beans tasted like mush, Mexican rice was a little oily than usual. Overall a lot blander than other Mexican places that I have been to. I think I expected much from this restaurant because it had such good ratings, but it has not met my expectations unfortunately.

Swift service and delicious food! I tried a bit of everything and the grilled chicken was delicious. Exactly what I was looking for with Mexican food. We ate in and the margaritas were great. They also took care to refill chips and salsa promptly.

Chicken taquito plate. Tasted like chicken jerky deep fried in tortillas

Oredered the tacos AL carbon with shredded chicken. The chicken in the tacos tasted like chicken left over from the previous day. Was extremely dry and chewy almost like jerky. The beans on the side were super dry and cracking as if they were yesterdays beans, the rice was ok. We Also ordered the chicken taquito plate. Same results. Chicken jerky deep fried in tortillas! Beans dry and cracking, rice ok. Also ordered a Cadillac margarita. Was extremely weak, could only taste the orange and lime pulp in it (never seen a margarita with whole fruit and pulp in it)! Only reason for 2 stars is love the chips and salsa and the server was nice.

The service was fast, respectful and genuinely a joy to talk to. Ambience could use some work but for what's being done with the place it's fine. The only reason I even came in to get this was because I couldn't believe Pizza Hut with a straight face tried to charge me 30 a pop for a 2 topping. Why would I ever give them money when I can get something infinitely better for the same price or cheaper from an actual sit down restaurant

The food is good. It's not cheap, but you normally get a good portion, and it's filling…read more I really want to love this place, but the inconsistency is really starting to make it difficult. First off, towards the beginning of the year, when we tried to call in orders, they had changed their number, and when you looked it up, it came up as a completely different name: "Taqueria Mucho." There was no explanation, it still said Birrieria Tijuana on the building, and there was no mention of any changes. Over the summer, they weren't even staying open their advertised hours, although that seems to have been resolved. Also, you used to get lots of onions, limes, and sauces to go with your tacos, but even that has changed for the worse. Last time, we ordered 12 tacos and got two bags of onions and limes. Each bag is good for about two tacos. This time, just one bag for 10 tacos, and the limes have definitely seen better days. I understand if they felt they were wasting food and wanted to changed the portions, but then communicate. I get not everyone eats them. I personally don't need 5. I'd have been fine with 2 or 3 bags, but not 1. Then, they tie the takeout bags off, so you can't check your order. Nothing is worse than getting home to find out you don't have onions. Certainly not driving 10-15 mins each way to go back and have cold food. The other taco place I go to asks you each time how many salsas you want and gives you exactly that many. Would be pretty easy to do that here. Furthermore, they now use to-go containers that don't breathe, so I got home to 10 soggy tacos that cost over $50. Maybe they ended up with the wrong ones from a vendor, but then take a few minutes to cut holes in like other places do. I get it, times are tough in the restaurant industry, but $50 for soggy tacos, barely any onions, and no limes doesn't make me want to spend money here.

Kudos too for making the tortillas and salsa in house, delicious. I always say if the chips aren't warm & fresh w/ good salsa in a Mexican restaurant than you may as well leave. This was a good start, sadly the bean dip they bring wasn't warm and tasted canned. I ordered the taco salad w/ground beef and since it didn't come w/onions & olives (why?) I added that. When it came it looked great but l learned eating it the meat was only under the section sitcom the tortilla shell even though they served it spilling out to one side. The beef was seasoned nice like pot roast mixed w/ground beef but it didn't sit well with me later. I think it's cooked in lard or high fat, not a good mix with hall bladder issues, ugh. But it was a good salad overall and enjoyed the lime/cilantro dressing. Hubby had the garlic shrimp/mushrooms dish that came with beans/rice & soft shells to make your own wraps. He asked for side of lettuce/onions. He enjoyed it, there was a nice portion of shrimp. I thought it had a bit of an odd aftertaste but as long as he was happy. Again beans were likely canned, very generic. Ordered a side of enchilada sauce to dress up the salad and he added to his rice/beans. We'd like to try the Sunday buffet. We'll be back once we've tried a couple other places in area since we just moved here. A bit pricey though I

I get it, everyone has a bad day. This was not that. Today we had a server who unfortunately was less than stellar. I ordered 2 chicken taquitos à la cart with sauce and sour cream on the side. Server told me he could not do this. I told him I've ordered this in the past with no problems. After an eye roll he said he would "ask the kitchen". He never returned to the table to let me know. Instead he showed up with the 2 chicken taquitos and no sides. I asked him where the sauce and sour cream were. He said he can't give me any. I responded "seriously?" After another eye roll, he said he would "ask the kitchen". At this point, I told him I no longer wanted the taquitos. My husband ordered his food with no issue although he did want a smaller portion but that was not an option either. I have never had such terrible service and regrettably we will never be coming back to this location.
