We had reservations a month or so ago, but it was First Friday and after circling blocks for about 20 minutes, we had no choice but to cancel our reservation due to lack of parking. We had no issues finding parking and walking this time. The service was great! So many places have been falling short in service, and they had multiple employees moving throughout the restaurant and helping tables. We didn't have to wait for anything. We ordered Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. I believe theirs were steamed. I've had better, but they were still a good option. I really enjoyed my petite filet mignon. They allowed me to sub spring vegetables for the potatoes. The burrata with chili oil and pistachios was a great touch on the fresh zucchini and squash. My husband eats a lot, and was a bit disappointed in only getting 3 scallops. He did enjoy his food nonetheless, and I shared some of my dinner as I had plans for dessert. I planned on the panna cotta, but when I realized they had pistachio ice cream in the affogato, it made my decision more difficult. Regardless, I did stay with the panna cotta and a cappuccino. I enjoyed both. We'll definitely be returning some time soon. It's a great option when you're in the Arts District.

The Owner was there as well and it was so nice to see her. Our server was wonderful. We started with a great bottle of wine. And then we ordered the Crudo. Then for the main entrees. Husband had the scallops. I had the Branzino. We also ordered the seasonal vegetables with burrata. Amazing. And the fresh grilled rolls with chicken skin butter. Everything was perfection. I can't wait to return.

We have dined there in the past and have always sat at a table but we came in on a whim and there was only bar seating, which was fine. But the girl bartender (Annie??) was extremely mean and rude to us for some reason. We were polite, didn't complain about anything, didn't ask to modify our food at all and left over 20% gratuity. When we asked questions she talked to us like we were stupid. Everyone else was outstanding. The guy with the braids and Frank were awesome and the Sommelier was really cool and was passionate about his wine list. My fiancé and I are both industry vets and we understand that sometimes you aren't always in the best mood but this felt oddly personal. Again, we have no idea what we did wrong. The food was exceptional. Some highlights are: Oxtail hummus: The best hummus I've ever had and the oxtail was cooked to perfection. Oysters: we did half and half of both options and they were both great and super unique. Banh Cuon: Usually made with pork, they use duck and it is awesome. The sauce should be bottled. Octopus: Perfection on a plate. Passionfruit dessert: So, so good. Perfect way to end dinner after some spicy elements in the food. Pandan cocktail: One of the better drinks I've ever had. We had more food but these are the items I can remember off of the top of my head. This was from about a month ago but my Yelp account was hijacked and I haven't been able to get it back yet and had to make a new one . So overall everything was amazing except for that one issue.

And with over 430 yelp reviews less than 10 of mine have been 1-star. A place has to be really bad.. After walking into a very full bar next door and being unable to get a drink, we walked in over here. Immediately, a guy walks up and says "Private Party". There were like ten people there. I explained that we were just looking for a cocktail and maybe some food - and some awful woman mockingly says "Oh.... That sucks" - making "shooing" motions. I don't know what happened, but needless to say we left, If you are closed, don't have the door open. If you are having a private party, it's easy enough to post a sign saying so - or have a host/ess at the door. But whatever is going on, don't allow your staff to permanently drive off customers- unless you're planning to permanently close. This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in my 22 years in Las Vegas - and unfortunately, it was simply poor management. Never again.

I usually start and end my nights out at Atomic, so thought, "Why not get down with their kitchen part?" I've tried twice and both times was disappointed. The first time I got a burger, fries, and pretzel bites. The pretzel bites were served with nacho cheese, which was ok, but pretty generic. Pretzel bites with white queso or beer cheese...that's what we thought we were in for...not generic nacho cheese. I don't remember what the menu labeled it as, and unfortunately did not get a picture. I ordered the Atomic burger - because who doesn't want to try Atomic sauce? - and added bacon to it. The bacon was the issue. It had that weird crunch/texture to it where you bite and it kind of turns to ash in your mouth? Do you know what I'm talking about? It did that but with no flavor. It was super weird. THOSE PICKLES THOUGH!! They were so super yummy! The fries were weird too. They were like eating straw. I love shoestring fries, but these...you bite into them and they were basically hollow inside. We dipped them in the ranch, dipped them in the cheese, dipped them in ketchup...nothing was helping those fries. And then they got hard super fast. SMH. The next time around I ordered wings and chips and dip, specifically the corn salsa one. The wings were the best thing we had there, and I would probably order them again...but the chips and corn salsa...well...it was a little spicy but also had a different kind of flavor that, now here me out, kept confusing our taste buds. We could not decide if we liked it or not! It was just...different. I/we might go back to try their Sunday dinner thing, because like I said, I just really want to like this place, but so far, we will probably just order drinks while there...and probably just beers because that was something else. I love Moscow Mules, but theirs is REALLY spicy. I tried to ask if they could tone down the spice and was then told that the mix is pre-made....soooo gonna have to just not order them anymore...which is lame.

I would say this is a must for breakfast if you're a foodie visiting Vegas. We split the huge breakfast burrito with Valentina hot sauce, which was the perfect complement, and also got the halloumi. These two dishes were more than enough for us two to share. Worlds better than the halloumi at Costco, which is what I'm used to! I had a latte and pomegranate juice as well. The juice wasn't freshly squeezed, but it was incredibly refreshing, and the latte exceeded my expectations. Shalom, our host, was so sweet, and I loved the bookshelf decor and overall vibe. It honestly transported me back to Brooklyn. I'd definitely come back.

This weekend I suggested to yet another friend that was staying Downtown that we meet up for a a breakfast chat. Both of us ordered the Garden Farm Benedict at $15 a piece, and shared a Pear Danish, and I got a hot latte. The staff here are lovely and, although they were super busy, our gorgeous dishes hit the table quickly. The latte was strong and delicious as usual. Unfortunately, the pear in the danish wasn't poached or anything and seemed too hard for the danish. I think we were both expecting it to be poached or something - but that's on us. The Benedict's were a little bland, I got a hint of the brown butter hollandaise in one bite, but it seemed to disappear after that. They didn't over season, which I appreciate, and we could add salt and pepper (from their whimsical shaker collection, might I add) to our liking. The PublicUs sourdough it was all piled on was great. The roasted red bliss potatoes were perfect, crispy and salty on the outside, creamy on the inside - my favorite bite on the plate. I love PublicUs dearly, but I think I'll stick to the tried and true avocado toast next time which is always reliably incredible.

On this trip, they invited us to celebrate a birthday and finally see what all the hype was about. We weren't disappointed! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant delivered the classic upscale steakhouse experience - dim lighting, crisp white tablecloths, and a polished staff ready to provide exceptional service. We were warmly welcomed, waters were promptly poured, the birthday guest was recognized, and our drink orders were taken right away. It set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic evening. I can't remember everything our group ordered, and I didn't manage to photograph every dish, but I can honestly say everything we tasted was outstanding. When the table goes quiet except for the chorus of "mmm"s after the first bite, you know you're in for a memorable meal. A few dishes especially stood out. The Caprese salad featured thick slices of ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, finished with a flavorful balsamic glaze. The lobster and tenderloin entrée was cooked perfectly - the steak was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the lobster was equally delicious. If you're debating between the 8-ounce and 12-ounce filet, you'll probably wish you'd gone bigger after the first few bites! The bucatini with shrimp scampi was another winner, with perfectly cooked pasta and shrimp tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce with just the right touch of heat. Every dish we tried was crave-worthy, and we quickly understood why our friends rave about this place. We were all too full for dessert, but our server, Laura, surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert for the guest of honor - and thoughtfully brought an additional one for my wife and me so the birthday girl didn't have to share. It was a classy, generous touch that made an already wonderful evening even more enjoyable. Laura was fantastic throughout the meal: attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making our experience special. One final note: Vic & Anthony's isn't inexpensive, but it's part of the Landry's family of restaurants. If you're a Landry's Select Club member, you can earn and redeem rewards, which helps soften the blow of the check. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or simply looking for an exceptional steakhouse experience, Vic & Anthony's at the Golden Nugget is a winning bet. We left full, impressed, and already looking forward to our next visit.

We were staying on the Strip, within walking distance of Mastro's, but made the trip downtown specifically for this restaurant. Unfortunately, I wish we hadn't. The ambiance was excellent and our waitress was welcoming and attentive. That's where the positives ended. After eating bread, our table was covered in crumbs. I specifically asked a server if the table could be cleaned before our food arrived. He acknowledged me, said he would handle it--and then simply didn't. Our sides, silverware, and eventually my steak were all placed directly onto a table still covered in breadcrumbs. At a restaurant positioning itself as fine dining, that lack of attention to detail was unacceptable. I ordered the lobster bisque, 22 oz prime bone-in ribeye, asparagus, mashed potatoes, and lobster mac & cheese. The asparagus and potatoes were average. The lobster mac was extremely disappointing--very little lobster and a processed, almost Velveeta-like cheese flavor. The biggest disappointment was the ribeye. Extremely chewy, poorly seasoned, badly marbled, and filled with tough, gristle-like fat. The texture was almost rubbery and nowhere near what I expect from a prime ribeye at an upscale steakhouse. I spoke with the manager, who listened and removed the steak from my bill, which I appreciated. But I wasn't looking for a free steak--I wanted the quality experience I came prepared to pay for. Las Vegas has far too many exceptional steakhouses to overlook poor food and service at this price point. What should have been a memorable birthday dinner was memorable for all the wrong reasons. I waited over a year to try Vic & Anthony's. Unfortunately, one visit was enough. First and last.
