The service was quick. We ordered several dishes and they were on our table in less than a minute...I kid you not. It made us wonder if they actually cooked the food or threw it in the microwave. I'm very picky about my pho broth and can tell when restaurants use instant or fillers for their broth vs actually boiling down beef bones for broth. One easy and for sure way to tell if a restaurant is using enough beef bones in their broth is when you take home the leftover broth and put it in the fridge, the leftover broth will congeal like gelatin. La Petit Camille is the only Vietnamese restaurant in the peninsula who's pho broth has congealed so far - neither Ben tre's or Mama's pho broth have passed my gelatin test. This was my first trying this place out, yet was very disappointed with my order. I got the five spice chicken sandwich and the papaya salad..but the sandwich has no sauce leaving it so dry nor was it cut in half. The salad was so-so but the dressing leaked all over the bag. Of the utensils didnt give out a knife, but included a spoon and fork plus chopsticks? They are also open pretty late compared to other restaurants during this shelter in place which is nice if you get hungry late and are too lazy to cook. We ordered garlic noodles and the fried shrimp on the sticks and some beef pho. All were very good. In fact it was so good we put in an order just a few days later. This was one of the better Vietnamese restaurants I have been to in California. Most of the Vietnamese food I have had has been in Seattle/New York. The Pho Ga here was okay. I was hungover and looking for something to feel better while waiting at the Millbrae Caltrain station. I wouldn't say it was bland, but it didn't seem to have the same amount of Umami-depth I am accustomed to in Pho Ga. I would definitely come here again and order the same thing. Service was quick as I was rushing, and I came in around 2:30 in the afternoon when there wasn't much of a crowd (although a notable one for that time of day; I would imagine it probably gets packed at times). I paid for my bill before I finished because I was rushing and I had two glasses of water with my soup. The price was reasonable (I think 7.55 dollars (after tax, before tip) for Pho? I'm used to paying 5 at most places in Seattle/NY so this could be seen as "steep") Anyways, I'd come here again if I was on my way to/from the city. read more

Been coming here for years. I think they are more known for their rice and noodle dishes rather than just pho. My go-to dish is the cold Vermicelli noodles with imperials rolls and bbq pork (56b). There's street parking and a small, but free parking lot. They accept card and could easily accommodate large tables. read more

As a kid, my parents would love taking me here on the weekends eat. Food was always delicious, staff was always very attentive and friendly and best of all, free guava candy after you finish your meal! Even after all these years, I still stop by here with my mom here and there. I've felt some tension from the staff and I guess there are a lot of new workers. Don't get me wrong. The workers are still nice, but they are definitely not as outgoing as the old workers. Food, on the other hand, have been going straight downhill. I got the five spice chicken and it was very dry and overly seasoned. It's saddening to watch my childhood restaurant go downhill. Divey, mom and pop-y Vietnamese food that has Chinese influence. It's so conveniently close to Bart it's crazy. It's a great meeting point to see friends. I always order #65 the bun for spring rolls, BBQ pork, vermacelli noodles with that yummy fish sauce concoction. For under $10 it's satisfying and a good deal. The Saigon special pho is meh and is full of shrimp, fish balls and fish cake. It doesn't say what it is on the menu. read more

I wish I'd seen this place before they remodeled. It's pretty sterile. With a name like La Petite Camille, you expect, well--something reminiscent of colonial French & VIetnamese style. It's more like a cafeteria only they bring you your food--sad gray indoor/outdoor carpet, weird mirrors in the walls by each tables, which I don't care for, & the pretty garden roses at each table were dead. For what it is, the prices are about 1 to 2 dollars more than it should be. I had imperial rolls with vermicelli rice noodles$9.00. They were crispy & bite-size which I liked, but the the fish sauce tasted watered-down. A few chopped jalapenos would really wake this dish up. The banh mi sandwiches looked good, but they don't make them the traditional French pate, which is traditional in Viet Nam shops. Plus they are $7.50-- not bad, but Dinosaurs in SF is $2 less, there's a place on Larkin by Great American Music Hall that's even less expensive & is incredibly authentic & delicious.. Pluses-- LPT is open after 2 pm, while most places in Burlingame & Milbrae are closed. They serve some nice Asian beers-'Saigon, Tsing Tao, & my fave Singha. I have heard their 5 spice chicken is great. Will have try that sometime. read more

Are you kidding me? Just finished eating here for dinner. I ordered a bowl of pho, which says $9.25 on the menu; however, WHAT IT DOESN'T SAY is their price is subject to change without notice, at the back of their menu in small prints. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? I have never heard of this nonsense before. So my bill came out to be $10.95 (I assume including tax too) vs. $9.25 + 81 cents (8.75% tax) = $10.06. I was overcharged for no reason. Although the overcharged amount was less than a dollar, the thing that bothers me is their dishonesty to the customer. When I confronted to them about the overcharge and asked whether this included tip, the old dude (I assume it's the owner) came back with broken English and I couldn't even understand him. He hesitated for good 10 seconds and eventually made up some random crap saying "it's night here and we work hard blah blah blah." ...I mean I would have given you good tip if you gave me good service...instead of lying to me. I never take the time do Yelp reviews unless it's 0 star or 5 stars. The food itself was 3.5 stars and the whole experience just made it 1 star. I will never come back here even if they paid me to eat their food for the rest of my life. This place should be permanently shut down so other establishments can be opened to better serve the Millbrae community. Unbelievable. read more

They have solid pho and bun rieu. A bit pricey--but it hits the spot. I'm from Orange County originally and I've grown up knowing you don't go to a Vietnamese restaurant for the service! The place seems understaffed and when the place is packed, there is hardly any room to move. The workers are nice, it just might take some time for you to get a refill or sauce you ask for. The parking situation is AWFUL. There are hardly any spots in the lot, and street parking can be tricky as there tends to be a lot of construction in the area. read more

The wait was short on a crowded lunch crowd. Food and service was prompt and attentive. Not the best flavors I have had, but good portions. The crab and shrimp and Hue noodles were light on it's flavors (ie not much crab and shrimp egg added). The egg rolls and potstickers were good sized. Place is pretty tasty but also not any tastier than other Vietnamese place around. The only thing that gives it that extra something is the parking, the portions, and the friendly staff. They do have a bigger menu than just pho, and vermicelli, rice plates so that's another plus. FYI - Saigon style noodle soup just means seafood noodle soup. It was pretty good and very is definitely a seafood broth. It comes with a few shrimp, and mostly fish balls and fish cake. The Imperial rolls came 6 to a plate and were quite tasty.
